You successfully replace the bulb, and then walk back over to the light switch and turn it on. The room is now illuminated.

You can see that there are a bunch of overturned drums of some kind of flammable liquid in the southern end of the room, which you could not see before. You also see that there are four shelves in the south end of the room. The shelves are marked "Evidence 1", "Evidence 2", "Evidence 3", and "Evidence 4".

Evidence shelf 3 contains many small bags containing hair samples, fiber samples, photographs of footprints, and other similar items. There is also a small unmarked cannister on the top shelf.

Evidence shelf 1 contains a heavy metal case with a combination lock, a tool box, a pair of shoes, and a box containing file folders.

Evidence shelf 2 contains three more boxes containing file folders, and several smashed jars.

Evidence shelf 4 contains animal cages that seem to have been chewed open, and what seem to be bloody bone fragments.

Take the small unmarked canister, the metal case (if possible), and the tool box. Take the box with the file folders down from the shelf and put it on the desk, do the same with the 3 others.

The patient has been demonstrating bizarre transformations, and laying tiny eggs. We are not sure why this is happening, so we will be relocating him to the testing facility for further study in four days.

Patient has proven himself resistant to the treatments. Doesn't show signs of the other behaviors. We will increase the dosage and see what happens. Starvation may be required to keep the patient tame.

Patient 34501 is Michael Jackson, Patient 34601 had his gun up his, um, holster, Patient 34701 killed everyone, and Patient 34801 is Mario.

Interesting...hmm. It's starting to get a parasite eve feel to it now. Whomever or whatever was in those cells is out now. Finding that gun, if it exists, would be my top priority, along with getting out of there. Is there any info as to why he was locked up in the first place?

Or maybe one of them is us :p.

Suggestions on what to do next guys?

It strikes me as most likely that we are the fourth patient. If the second patient really did hid a weapon, a logical conclusion would be that it is hidden in the cell opposite the one we started in.

It might be a waste of time, though.

My hypotheses:

-The subject who talks about the Nodes is actually saying something important that we won't be able to figure out until we have a lot more info. His speech is most definitely one of the pieces to the puzzle, but we have to find the rest of the pieces.

-The subject with the gun busted his cell door and escaped, then killed the chef in the hallway who was delivering his food/drugs. Then, somehow, he escaped... likely before the generator's wires were broken or else he couldn't have gotten through that door.

-He's probably dangerous and will attempt to kill Split if he meets him.

-Whatever was in the eggs that the third subject laid were placed in the cages and then chewed their way out. Which means they are probably still here somewhere.

-And if the horrible smell in this room is not the gasoline on the floor, then it's probably those things. We should check on that real soon.

-Also, if they somehow got out of the room they could've been what chewed through the wires on the control panel.

-Either way, I believe we're gonna have to deal with some creepy critters soon. Better find a weapon.

All cells have been visited and searched. Everything in Hallway North has been visited. Hallway South has been visited. The Evidence room has been searched thoroughly. The Generator Room has been visited.

Presently, if you've been keeping up with the game, you'll notice that the current obstacles in your way include the door in the Hallway South with the keypad, which seems to have no power. But there may or may not be other things undiscovered.
