I decline to send in any orders. I'm too busy voting to be wrapped up in such night activity shenanigans.
You've failed to answer my riddle. Therefore I'll murder you first.
All right everyone, the line is starting to get straddled. Let's not cross it, please.
But what happens if the line insults us first? May we cross it then?
Probably seeing delays because it's the weekend. Regardless, I'm glad Day 1 is about to begin, now that we've got our voting out of the way.
I'm having a bad feeling...
"So what happened that night, granpa?" the young girl asked. The elderly man shook his head. "That night, pumpkin, started the test for everyone. For Heaven, for the Netherworld, for everyone supporting Angra Mainyu. Only the bravest were going to make it through. But that night, yes... that night..."
That night, following Mainyu's announcement, Visorslash sat himself down at the corner of a small shack. He, personally, was baffled by Mainyu. Why would he give his opponents the chance to strike first? It had to be a hoax, then. No real invading enemies. Question, then, would be why to sequester so many of his followers within walking distance of the palace? He turned his gaze up to the dark street. So eerily quiet, for such an immense city. There was not a sound from any human or god or demon. Just a.... what was that, anyways? A faint... tapping? Not quite the right word, but maybe close enough. He peered his head around the other corner, and it was there he saw quite a sight. Someone was riding atop a peacock, with a lance couched for a joust. Visorslash stood up slowly with an uncertain look to his face. The peacock was picking up speed. Visorslash immediately wheeled around to the other street and began a sprint. After a second or two, he looked back, to see the peacock sprinting around it with unnatural speed and agility. Visorslash poured every ounce of his adrenaline, picking up every bit of speed he could. One second later, he felt a cool sensation through his chest. He looked down, a second as though a lifetime, to see a lance head was piercing through. Before he knew it, the peacock gave an almighty kick, the lance had withdrawn, and Visorslash was face down in the dirt, the sparkling blue-green bird atop him. The rider gazed down, and ended Visorslash once and for all with a lance thrust to the head.
Atop a nearby roof, a woman shook her head. Her simple, tan robe fluttered slightly in the wind. “Truly, we were correct. Savages.” With that, she opened pearly wings, and jumped from her position. Wings spread, she dove down upon the peacock rider. At the last second, he heard the ruffle of wings, turning just in time to see his attacker before she was upon him. She turned herself feet first, landing atop the rider and sending him rolling, off his steed. He recomposed himself, only to see the woman sitting atop his own peacock! “It is only fitting,” she whispered. “You have taken so much from us... It is time to exact punishment.” The peacock rider gave a roar of rage, and rushed her with his lance. She stared him down, and as he thrust the lance at her, she seized it with her right hand, stopping it a few inches from her face. “Enough.... enough.” She twisted her right wrist, and snapped the lance head clean off. She jumped from the peacock, grabbing the remains of the lance with her right, holding the splintered lance head with the other. Wrenched her left and, and yanked the lance away completely, whirling the base around sweeping it under Tratorix' feet. Her foe decked, she immediately leaped down, pinning her left fore arm against his throat. She brought down the lance head with her right hand into his face, again and again. She did not relent until there was not a single recognizable feature to it. Then, lastly, she lifted her forearm up, and slowly sliced at the neck, taking pleasure in rendering it apart.....
Tincow sat meditating in his temporary abode. It wasn't as nice as his usual house in Babylon, but it wasn't a hovel, at least. And, it was at least away from the main road. Even with so many crammed in a relatively small area, he found some peace. A knock on the door interrupted it. He ignored it for a second, then sighed. Oh well. He was halfway to the door when the knock was made again. “I'm coming, I'm coming...” he said. He was squeezing the knob when a thump was heard on the other side, the door flying off hinges, sending TinCow to the floor. A woman walked through the frame, a satin dress hardly concealing a layer of bronze scale armor. She held a curved saber in her right hand.
“Making a lady wait like that, so rude! Where did you learn manners? Not that I suppose it matters much now, does it?” TinCow scrambled backwards in a panic, only to find himself up against the back wall. The woman jumped to his position, holding the saber to his throat. “You're finished... traitor.” With a clean slice, TinCow's head was severed.
God Emperor was wandering the streets. He didn't much like the idea of having to live in some new place. Either way, sleep was unlikely. Besides, it was a clear, warm night. So much nicer than it was in the daytime. He turned around the corner to a new street, and saw what seemed to be an enormous human male in the middle of the street. It seemed to have been walking down, holding in one hand an axe of astronomical proportions. The haft had to be eight feet long, the double-edged head perhaps four feet. The man's eyes lit up upon seeing God Emperor. With his off hand, the man pointed. “God or Demon, I care not. You have brought ruin to me and my people! NOW YOU DIE!” God Emperor scoffed a bit. This mortal thinks he can kill me? The man moved at God Emperor, running at an incredible pace, and wildly swung the axe. God Emperor instinctively ducked the blow, the axe going just over his head and plowing into the house next to him. The axe ripped apart the brick and mortar as though it were papyrus. God Emperor's eyes went wide. Perhaps it would be wisest to play this safe. He took off at a run as the man swung his axe downwards, missing again and creating a gash in the street. The man howled, and went round the corner of the house. God Emperor was already in the distance, and wheeled down a dark ally. The man roared in frustration, and smashed his axe once more into the street before stalking off.
"And so, they have struck," Angra Mainyu announced the next day in his throne room. You were all in a fairly small area, so naturally, one of you must have seen something. Whoever they are, hand me the treacherous agents! We shall give them a slow and painful demise. Drop by drop, agent by agent. They shall know the terror of my hand slowly closing around their throats. Now, at it! You must know! Give me an agent!"

Killed:
TinCow (N1)
Tratorix (N1)
Visorslash (N1)
Lynched:
Alright. Very interesting for a first night.
Tratorix was the rider on the peacock (Chocobo? probably not ^^). He killed Visorslash and was in turn killed by the pearly lady.
That means either Tratorix was a vigilante or serial killer that was then killed by the Mafia or he was Mafia and was then killed by a vig or sk.
The lady that killed him said “Truly, we were correct. Savages.” I think it might be a hint that she is with the Gods/Netherworld Mafia that is talking about the followers of Angry Mainyu but it sure needs further analysis.
Visorslash, TinCow and GodEmperor were probably all town:
- Visorslash was "baffled by Angra Mainyu", meaning he was a follower.
- TinCow has a regular house in Babylon plus the killer calls him "traitor" so he was probably one of the Gods/Demons who betrayed the heavens/Netherworld to join the forces of Mainyu.
- GodEmperor doesn't like the idea of living in a new place which could hint at him having another place in the town too or being a traitor who recently joined the ranks of Mainyu. It could of course also mean that he was with the Mafia who just recently arrived but I think it's unlikely. If there is investigators maybe they should target him the next night to be sure of him.
So if Tratorix killed Visorslash, a townie, he was probably Mafia or a sk. This could mean the pearl lady is on the town's side but we shouldn't draw conclusions too quickly.
Also, weird kill choices. Visor could be trusted to suck up a lynch at some point and TinCow could also have been used as lynch bait, given his track record in Netherworld games. It's also a very high profile kill. Could hint at newcomers, although that's unlikely. More likely is that it might be someone who hasn't played Netherworld I. Unfortunately that's a lot of people.
Also, since I can't edit this in, vote: Askthepizzaguy because random.org says so.
Man I hate getting killed night one. You'd have to be a real jerk to kill someone on night one. :creep:
Per Randomness I shall vote Woad&Fangs
Haha good one... My current lean is that you deserved it :P
The pearly lady is probably a vig or a sk.
Pearly lady, if you're a vig: May I suggest you lay off the killing for a while after this incredibly lucky shot and start again when we have solid suspects?
Pearly lady, if you're an sk: Keep hitting Mafia please. WHen you're done with them you can reveal to get lynched, kthxbye
That is a distinct possibility.
Actually in the previous Netherworld games the kill writeups contained quite a bit of information that might be useful.
Figuring out if you were town or Mafia aligned is not useless :P
Whatever you were, you killed a townie. So if you were Mafia or a sk I'm happy you're dead, scum and if you were a vig... go and feel ashamed :clown:
The invading forces of the Netherworld and the gods will be the mafia...
GodEmperor: This mortal thinks he can kill me?
Vote: GodEmperor
Vote: Renata
Because random told me so.
That's correct but a neutral killer, even if he has other objectives on top of killing is a sk or at least it's what I was referring to when I said you could be a sk.
So you were either Mafia, a sk or a vigilante. My mone's on Mafia atm.
Nah... There's gods and netherworlders following Angra Mainyu too. It says so in the OP.
Also, why the funny fonts?
tsk tsk.. aiming attacks at me :laugh4:
now that it is day, I can actually vote.. . . Vote: Beskar
Nice write-up! I usually just skim over them, but that was rather entertaining.
Regarding Traitorix's attacker, have there been any killing roles apart from serial killers and mafia in these games? Like maybe a "doctor" who, rather than protecting, retaliates? The order of the write-up seems significant to me, with Traitorix getting off a kill on Visorslash (whom the write-up indicates to be a townie or neutral at worst) and then being attacked by someone who seems to have witnessed his murder.
Khazaar, are you claiming to be the axeman who attacked God Emperor in the write-up? The fact that the axeman failed to kill him is interesting. A serial killer with <100% success rate? His words confuse me, too. “God or Demon, I care not. You have brought ruin to me and my people!” Would this suggest a neutral role?
Poor Visorslash....lynched in the first round of recent mafia games two times in a row, and night one killed here. He is rapidly becoming the "red-shirt" of the gameroom.:laugh4::shame:
Vote:SoulBlade Welcome to the Org.
Aw man, I didn't know that. Sorry Visorslash. :shame:Quote:

Vote: GeneralHandkerchief, at the bidding of the Random Number God.
It's my impression from the writeup that...
Visorslash was a perfectly ordinary, nondescript townie.
His killer, Tratorix, was probably a Demon. They had some queer roles and looks in the last game, at least (I rode a giant water buffalo, I think, and Beskar was a Lamia, to name a few).
That would make the Winged Killer either a third-part/Vigilante, or possibly an Angel of Heaven (if Heaven and Hell are two non-aligned factions). She seems to enjoy killing a little too much to be all "good", though...
TinCow seemed to be special; the "Babylon" reference really calls for attention. I agree that this probably means he was of Demonic nature, but as it has been said, some Demons and Angels/Gods have joined Mainyu. This means he was probably some sort of pro-town role, though he appears to have been inactive (resting at home), so it might just be spice and he's an ordinary townie.
God Emperor isn't an ordinary townsperson, however. He survived an attack (or, he walked into an attack and survived it). He's probably a pro-town role but he might be mafia. He's something, that's for sure.
TinCow's Attacker sounds like a Valkyrie or perhaps a Green Heroine to me. I would almost wager on her being Heavenly.
God Emperor's Attacker seems really strange. He doesn't care whether he attacks Gods or Demons, which means he is either referring to Mainyu's followers or he's a 3rd party/vigilante. I am thinking 3rd party.
Vote: Believer. Out of all the players in the game, Random picked Renata for you? You're sure it's not because you're scum and want to get rid of her before that kitten pussy-whips you?
This prevalence of Times New Roman is making me uneasy. I want my Verdana!

Hey guys, how's it going? This looks like a fun *hurk* *splurg* *gack* *ack* ssszzzzx..z..z........
Vote: TheLastDays.
Something about his killing analysis concluding that the Pearly wing person is either a vig or a serial killer seems off.

I concur with Seon.
Vote: God Emperor
Too much not to follow up on, a claim is needed if he's pro-town. We have plenty of regular human townies so someone who is not a human and survived a night attack can't be let go to other random votes.
How do you think we have plenty of human townies? What makes you say that? I didn't get any role PM telling me if I was human or whatever else.
Also guys stop silly voting me for contributing to this thread. I can stop contributing if you like that better but since I'm a basic townie I figured I'd make myself useful.
Please... we just discovered that GE is obviously something other than a mere townie because he survived that attack. Now can we please give him the benefit of the doubt for a moment and lynch someone who's lynch is not potentially a disaster?
unvote, vote: SoulBlade unless someone comes up with something better
Getting nervous after 2 votes, TLD? Pretty defensive for a basic townie aren't you?
Also how's voting a newcomer, or rather someone who is more active in TWcenter, any better?
It's a game, enjoy the story, have fun with it :)
Of course they should, but the fact that he's trying to deflect suspicion and putting votes on the next closest person to being lynched after two votes is suspicious. The first round is probably the most dangerous time outside of the endgame when playing as mafia, since bandwagons can turn on a dime. The fact that TLD is acting panicky so early is odd to me.
I'm having fun
I just come straight from Midgard III where we went ahead and started to lynch important roles from the beginning. Basically lynching someone on Day 1, where there are no meaningful cases, who has shown that he resists nightkills is, imo, a mistake. No, GE doesn't get a free pass as townie as it could well be the ability of one of the Mafia or some third party scum but it could potentially be a big mistake to lynch him and it would be one that we could have avoided.
unvote; vote TLD. You should have gotten the mass PM that told you just like me that not receiving another role made you a regular townie. I also just looked at the previous games and only 1/4 to 1/3 of god/demon roles were pro-town anyway, and nobody seems to be a "disaster to lose" either. You seemed to have concluded yourself that the person who attacked GE was a third party of some sort so him being attacked certainly doesn't prove he's town.
Vote: Fluffy
The images are tolerable, but if you go back to those giant multicolored fonts again I'mma start lynching you on principle.
What is going on with God Emperor is open to one's own interpretation, but to vote off a random new person, highly likely to be a townfolk, just because suspicions arouse around your person (TLD) is peculiar...
You might dislike the third party, but you are acting like it or as a messy mafia...
Unvote: God Emperor, vote: TheLastDays
For willingly or unwillingly behaving contra town...
Hmmm....
Isn't it that lynching 'random someone' is potentially a 'disaster' lynch, since everyone, unrevealed, has a possibility of having a pro-town role?
You claim that you are a pro-town civilian...
so I'm assuming you're not a pro-town power role...
But you may be lying & actually be scum...
That means...
Your lynch has the least potential of being a 'disaster!'

Vote: God Emperor because we need more bandwagonz.

@ White Eyes
Two night one kills and a Day 1 lynch. That's worse lol. :P
@ Traitorix
Don't worry about it lol. At least you died on the same night. :P. And yes, I easily take lynches, so bad idea. :D
@ TLD
Stop acting so scumlike on the first day. Best to keep suspicions to youself until after this day. :P Then you won't get day one lynched. :D

He bit me! Now I'm feeling blue.
Aw :daisy:
I was going to vote during the night phase and just post "Kill: player" during the day, for however long it took for someone to kill me off.
So much for that idea. I just can't troll with the best of them.
I got the mass PM. Everyone got the mass PM but it gave no details to our role. It didn't say, you're human.
I'm not even bothering with the rest of your argument because you are simply restating what I have already said (I pointed out that GE was potentially Mafia or Third Party, I was simply saying we should give him the benefit of the doubt for now. It's Day 1 for Christ's sake). I know you are going to say I should stop lying but go ahread, read my post carefully and you'll see it.
I am not behaving contra town. And please look at the tally at the moment of my vote switch. GE was conveniently in the lead, his bandwagon picking up speed and there were maybe 2 votes on me. I switched my vote to save GE not myself because if I wanted to save myself there are better ways than to bring myself into the center of attention with a high profile vote switch.
Correct assumption and if you need to lynch me to save GE go ahead because potentially he could be more important for the town. I would prefer to lynch someone who isn't contributing over myself but it's your call.
Also my vote change was not random. According to the tally someone posted Soulblade was the runner up and thus the best option to create a counter wagon to the GE-wagon. Someone will be lynched but I'd prefer it to not be someone who could be important, and we all knew it.
Vote : Chaotix
Stay away from my fluffy friend :stare:
FoS: Andres
I never said he was behaving scummily. I said "He bit me! Now I'm feeling blue."
Your lies are obvious attempts to divide and conquer the Netherworld.
And FoS: Your fluffy friend
Because I'm not impressed by your finger. Where's the vote? Where's the love? Don't you love me anymore Andres? Or is voting for me becoming boring?
If I may :hide:
I don't recall TheLastDays' usual style in this game.. But so far it hasn't exactly been scummy.. at least in my eyes (yes I know he tries not to have me lynched , bla bla bla) . What I mean is that his style, so far, has given him a few votes, because he is eager and .. Well I am not sure there is anything more. I would just expect, that if he had scum budies, then they would by now, have told him to tone it down a bit, and that does not really seem to be the case. In other words, I would say his behavior atm should move him a little further away from a lynch and not closer :stare:
GE isn't scum because he didn't kill me night one. :P
vote: Diamondeye
I like the odds.
Vote Tratorix
See the word traitor is nearly written right there.
CB, he's dead. Someone killed him after he killed me.
Implying that his attacker was you? His attacker does appear to be third party, given the "God Or Demon, I care not" line.
Then he decides to join TheLastDays bandwagon. IMO, TLD was only providing some decent insight into the write-up. He offered the stepping stones that we've been walking upon for the entirety of this round, and while there are others here who are well able of analysis, I for one would like to see TLD remain, for the moment. You shouldn't be lynched for actually caring.
I don't believe that God Emperor is a good lynch either. Sure he was attacked and survived, but, for now, I'm more inclined to think pro-town power role.
I'm going to Vote:Arjos.
Seriously guys? Voting for me even if I haven't done anything wrong?
God Emperor is OBVIOUSLY pro-town. He got saved by a roleblocker/doctor. A mafia/cultist/vig/sk or whatever tried to kill him. At least that's what I think, I can always be wrong, since I don't know anything.
I think I can point out a few scums right away - they're posting nonsense and contradicting the obvious facts. A later post will come. G2g to the gym.
Vote: abstain, courteously
robbiecon, you are free to waste your vote on me...
I changed my vote to TLD, because he added votes to Soulblade, which imo is a cheap move...
God Emperor was the only one with anything out of the ordinary, he'd still be my choice...
I didn't see any mention of a doctor or roleblocker. And if someone did save GE it would have been a random N1 move. It doesn't clear him at all.
I am intrigued that GE just posted in defense of TLD without trying to defend himself or explain the night's actions. Now I really want to know who you are GE.
You are always so corteous Reenk :P
I'm gonna go with roobiecon here, I also thought Arjos' comments seemed off. It's probably the best case so far and I'd like to stay alive.
That said, I'd still let myself be lynched than to go for GE who's obviously something special, town or not, on Day 1
unvote, vote: Arjos
Your posts stink, good sir.
You are trying to pin blame on me for something I haven't done.
You are accusing me of trying to blame an easy taget to save my own butt but when I switched to Soulblade I was in no danger of being lynched, quite the contrary, votes started to pur my way after I switched to SoulBlade. The last ones who insisted that such a stupid move was a scum move were CR and Kage in Mafia X and they were both scum.
Still going after GE? Frustrated you couldn't get him killed last night? Want the town to finish your dirty work?
Again: GE isn't cleared of anything but I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt until we can shed more light on the question what he actually is.
Why are you so eager to lynch anyone who obviously has some special power? There is no other indication whatsoever that GE is scum.
Also the chances for SoulBlade to be scum are the same as for anyone else. Random numbers don't take into account how many games the player has played at the Org.
God Emperor can come role claim to me. I need some WIFOM in my life.
