Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Seriously, whats so suspicious about me putting a vote on Ichigo? He voted for No Lynch, which was pointless in my opinion, as the Abstain option was better, and by voting No Lynch, it would never change the course of the game, as two people are not gonna appear suddenly and vote No Lynch. It would be better to vote for someone like CountArach or Roadkill, at least that would achieve something, no lynch does nothing.
And some of his posts:
Quote:
Vote:Ichigo He's a scummy bas...Oh wait Unvote:Ichigo, Vote:Sasaki He's always scummy
Nothing useful, since this vote was tradition.
Quote:
Hey look at it this way. If we all bandwagon Sasaki now we won't have to listen to his false detective reveals.
Nothing useful still.
Quote:

Quote:

You wasted a lot of time with those PM's. If you're going to post it in the thread then seems pointless.
@Stig: It's one vote shouldn't freak out.
:beam: This is even worse. If Andres didnt post the PMs up, the mafia could try and pretend to be a townie, since nobody would know if their townie pms were identical or not. Also, someone could try to say something like "I didnt get a pm, am i a townie?" in order to prove their innocence.
Sorry if my explaination was too long winded (I'm learning to analyse posts , I've got some vague ideas on Mafia 7 already, and will probably post them during the next day phase), and if my vote were not considered helpful, but honestly I do believe Ichigo is mafia. Should you not believe me, feel free to bandwagon me for next round.

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Doesn't matter, we'll take Shlin next round. Lynching someone because he voted No Lynch.
To me No Lynch is the same as Abstaining, end of story. But you had the worst reason ever to vote someone. I'd say we bandwagon you next day.

Don't see anything scummy about shlin's action.
Voting no lynch is anti-town. So is abstaining.
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
You could argue that he was saving his partner. But if you look at the vote layout, any of them could have saved themselves by switching.
Ichigo: 3 (Sapi, Sasaki, Shlin28)
CountA: 2 (Brave, Hepcat)
Sasaki: 2 (Husar, W&F)
RoadKill: 2 (Enoch, Stig)
Beefy: 2 (Xdeath, Zorg)
Pever: 2 (FactionHeir, Twilight)

Most games, I'm with him. But here, in the first round of a game where there haven't been kills yet, and the fact that the mafia are almost impossible to lynch in Round 1 anyway, he's wrong. The mafia can easily hide in the shadows/manipulate events at their leisure. Better to just *gasp!* not lynch anyone than lynch an innocent and have it hurt us later on.

Voting nolynch= abstain
there was 11 other people who voted abstain. and 7 other who didnt even vote.. So "He voted no lynch" cant be the reason to lynch Ichigo
Lets hope we got this lynch right..
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Voting Abstain is not anti-town. You basically have 2/35 chance of lynching the right person. I consider that extremly low, so sometimes if there isn't enough evidence to lynch someone, I would rather abstain then kill a townie.

Wouldn't count on it Beefy. With 39 people playing, we had a 5% chance of lynching a mafia member that round. By the way, we also had a 5% chance of killing the doctor or detective.

First 2 kills don't give you any real information. If they are hiding in the shadows then maybe we can notice them later. You don't know that it will hurt us later on, WoG is unpredictable.

Did I say it was reason to lynch him? No, but we had to lynch someone, would you have preferred everyone abstain so that it completely random who got lynched? I know this round was completely unjustified but I'm sure you prefer it this way than just someone random getting knocked off too.

There might be a small, hidden clue in the write-up of a lynch or a killing of a player with a special role, but it won't be very obvious.
Are you already starting to feel the paranoia?

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Night 2 : Sniffing and blowing. And a delicious meal…
That night, pevergreen sat in his tent. It was cold. He felt horrible. The cruel murders, the screaming during the lynching, the obviously sadistic captain. Why did he accept this job?
“Hey buddy.” pevergreen looked up and saw one of his colleagues, a raven-haired, somewhat pale guy.
“You look unhappy, maybe I can cheer you up?”, the Mafioso said and he took a tiny plastic bag filled with some white powder out of his pocket.
“What’s that?”, pevergreen asked, curious now.
“It’s snow my friend.”
“Snow? How will snow cheer up my day? We have plenty of snow here, why are you carrying an additional little package of…”
The Mafioso sighed. “Snow, that’s how people call ‘cocaine’ in my region.”
“Oh! Well, I never tried it and it seems like we are all going to die anyway, so I’ll play along. Hand the white stuff over buddy.”
“Here you go!”
pevergreen sniffed the generous white line. After a few seconds, he realised his mistake. He tried to breathe, but the white asbestos in his lungs prevented this.
The Mafioso left the tent, leaving pevergreen to suffocate to dead…
Sigurd Fafnesbane was patrolling the tunnels. He was deep inside the mountain and felt safe.
“Ha!” he yelled against the darkness, “That remaining mafia bastard won’t come over here soon. You can still smell the fear of his lynched buddy.” Although the majority of the mercenaries disapproved of their captains’ unusual methods, Sigurd kinda liked the no nonsense approach of his boss. And he believed in democracy. According to him, democracy could never fail.
At the end of the tunnel he saw one of his colleagues. Sigurd wondered what this guy was doing here.
“You like blowing?” his colleague asked.
“No, not for me. I despise illegal drugs and people who use them.”
“I meant blowing, my friend,” the man continued with a sinister voice.
“Hey, I already told you, no illegal drugs for me. Too many young people die from it.”
“Yes, you will die from blowing…”
“Like I said, not me, I don’t use…”
“Blowing, like in “blowing up” “. The Mafioso laughed hysterically when the explosives went off. The tunnel collapsed, crushing the remains of the blown up Sigurd.
Tiberius of the Drake felt miserably. He went to the kitchen for a beer. He never drinks alcohol, but this night, he felt like he could use it.
He stood in front of the fridge, enjoying the Leffe. Having a Belgian captain certainly has benefits….
Out of the dark, someone whispered: “Tiberiusssssss, are you hungrrrrry too?”
Before Tiberius could respond, he felt a knife running up the back of his spine before it buried itself in his neck.
“Oh, Tiberiussssssssss, you will be tasssssty.”
A few ours later, the strange man left the kitchen, leaving behind a severely mutilated body and the remnants of a meal…
“Come to my ssssecrrrret placccce, darrrrling,” the man in the black cape said to the newest addition for his collection.
Day 2 : Fear
That morning, Andres woke up early. The mercenary camp seemed very excited.
Three of his best man had died that night. One of them died in a collapsing tunnel. Investigation revealed that it wasn’t an accident. The other, pevergreen, apparently a drug addict, enjoyed the wrong trip last night. The third body … Andres shivered. Tiberius’ body was found without its’ head. Next to the body, the bones of his left arm, on a plate with some sauce…
“Men,” Andres said, “The previous night, two people were killed, this night three of us died. This is getting serious. Although, I’d prefer the torture everybody approach, I have accepted that this is no longer allowed. You know what do. Vote!”
The horrified mercenaries started to debate. Their faces expressed fear, they all fell the threat. Who would be next? Who to trust? Paranoia was everywhere. This would be more difficult then they thought…

looks like the secret role is a serial killer. Also I find it interesting that this is the second game in a row where Pevergreen and Sigurd were killed in the first night phase.

Your reasons for voting Ichigo, located here, were poorly compiled and formulated.

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
That is... interesting.
I had a dream last night that I was killed Round 1 and FactionHeir/Jubal Barca were the two mafiosi. This scenario didn't play out, so those two might just be innocent after all.
This list of killed is a WIFOM waiting to happen, so I won't spend too much time deliberating on it (I already tried and it hurts my head and that's not good early in the morning). So:
Vote: KingWarman
Let's hear your thoughts.
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Tiberius of the Drake pointed his suspicion toward Brave Sir Robin and was killed. By logic, Brave Sir Robin would be the mafia, since he's also a newcomer.

Yeah, but it's more helpful to the town if you vote for someone who's guilty than if you vote for someone who's inactive.

I don't like this post. Surely wasn't it pretty clear that, in the early phase of voting, that its impossible to prove anything? Thus it was clear that CA was joking. This seems to me like either a relatively inexperienced mafioso trying to get an easy lynch, or else, a mafioso who knows what he's doing, but is trying to get people who are inexperienced to follow him for the easy lynch.

I dislike Jubal_Barca's attitude to the game - short posts, containing nothing substantial other than basic unexplained "hunches". As far as I know, being the mafia professional which you claim to be, you ought to know better than to behave in this way. Perhaps it is time to talk about these ideas which you may have and what evidence they are based on.

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
I doubt that the mafia would put a vote on someone for a hunch. Theyll probebly be neutral, statistic or bandwagonning.
At least one of the mafia should be the same fellow from the mafia VII and if that is so the mafia is pretty cunning. Its just my guess though. It also could be not very experienced player reading the mafia VII thread trying to frame possible suspect like poor old beefy.
For now ill say

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
1. to give mafia what they want; me dead.. (just joking)
I dont want to lynch shlin because
1. I feel sympathy to anyone who is getting bandwagonned
2. Although he is using classical mafia tactic I can understand why he is reacting that way (I do it too sometimes)
3. Something tells me that his not mafia
4. Because everyones reasoning isnt that great (He killed Ichigo!! Gasp!! Lynch him!!)
5. To create more discussion and hoping if mafia gets tricked.. (hey already got two very paranoid townies.) talk townies
6. Zorgy voted for me.. So i need to return my favour
7. I dont like champions. I dont like prime suspects. I always like a bit of twist. Shlin is our most loved suspect so im not going for him.
8. so therefore Im not really passionate about lynching Shlin. You fellas are way more experienced then me so you probebly know lot more then me. So i dont mind Shlin getting lynched as long as theres logic behind it. Just think carefully before you vote for him.
Im guessing im getting lynched for this...:beam:

For some reason, none of those reasons made any sense Beefy.

Shlin had a fairly valid reason to kill off Ichigo.
Thats enough for me to believe that his innocent.

lousy reasons from beefy but not suspicious ones in my opinion.
