Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
He gifted all his territories to me, so I guess in a sense I'm defending Russia now, with a bunch of freebie peasants and sundry other oddball units. I wasn't sure if you wanted Moscow or not EF, so I'm not entirely sure I'll have anything in range. I'll snag it eventually I suppose.
All hail Poland, owners of the most useless and dangerous lands in the known world! If anyone else has ten provinces that make less than 500 florins a turn I'll trade you! All my energy will be spent preparing for the Mongols now, so, err, please don't invade? :laugh4:

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Now that the enemy has run away in disgrace... and surrendered his lands to our ally in a move so stunning that we are still reeling... We have to re-assess our position with Poland. An immediate and private meeting is requested with the Polish ambassador, as we consider this move to be a direct insult to the people of Denmark.
We feel betrayed by our allies who, out of all the Russian provinces, offer us only riga? This is after we have peacefully withdrawn from the British Isles?

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
lol sorry to put the pressure on you but I could hardly offer them to the Danes could I :clown:
Tis a shame, I wanted to see the blitzmaster in action. I still need to find a sub for the BC and GC2 hotseats as well...I'll ask Zim. If Tristan gets his act together then I wont have to worry about my Teutonic turn.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Err, isn't Riga the only one of them you used to own? I was going to write it up as King Wladyslaw converting the Russian King to Catholicism, after which he swears fealty and goes into internal exile or something similar. I didn't exactly conquer Russia in a war. :laugh4:

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Doh! Another war? The bloody Mongols will eat me alive now, plus I just pulled my army out of Thorn.
Eh, well, I knew what position Poland was in when I took them.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
We have not declared war on you, Poland. Such a move would destroy the Danish people. Surely I would be defeated in battle just Denmark versus Poland, but if I were to renounce our alliance and become an aggressor against the Polish people who are innocent in this matter, I would be betraying my principles as the honourable King Knud II.
And surely other nations would join in the pile as well against our nation. I am therefore left with no other choice but to tip my king and retire to the sanctuary of an isolated castle above the arctic circle, my dreams and hopes of conquest shattered, but my honour intact.
Let it be known that the Danish people themselves are honourable, but outraged at these events. Our borders are now closed to all and all diplomats are being recalled, and our merchants have been advised to return home. The Danish ambassador at the court has been recalled. We are now to live out our lives in peace, unmolested.

sounds a bit boring...:clown:

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Yeah probably. But with several players all having left the game, some voluntarily, some not, and with two factions on both of my flanks benefitting from this, both becomming superpowers, and with no realistic way of challenging central Europe, and having no allies I can trust, there is nothing more I can do.
I won't surrender, but I won't commit suicide either. I will remain in the North until the Mongols come, and do what I can to assist my friends. I have no intention of turning my back on Poland.
-
Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
Err, not turning your back on me? Poland has been nothing but honorable, and King Wladyslaw has, even in the face of provocation, refused to invade any of his neighbors. Rest assured, I didn't bully Russia, and I won't bully anyone else. The so called Super Power is a collection of, literally, all the trash provinces in the game except Arguin, Jedda, and Timbuktu.

Are we skipping Russia's turn?

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
might just as well. They;ve resigned and soon they will be a Polish province.
As for "I won't turn my back on Poland" that was meant to be a sign of friendship, not the other meaning.

Ramses has 1 hour to upload a new save from time of this post. Any save posted thereafter will not be accepted.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
As long as no one has any announcements to make about sudden wars, we should proceed from that save. I had a difficult day of travel getting home and I'm wiped.

Re: MTW2 Multiplayer Campaign
I think he wants to commit seppuku, hara-kiri, become a kamikaze, to sleep with the fishes, take a walk in the ocean wearing cement shoes, croak, die, expire, become deceased, meet his maker, meet his demise, push up the daisies, cark it, become hellbent, pass away, pass on, perish, become toe-tagged, turn into worm food, become a goner, bite the dust, blink for an incredibly long period of time, buy the farm, develop an acute allergy to air, develop an acute allergy to life, enter Abraham's bosom, enter the grave, get off one's twig, give up the ghost, go back to the essence, go the way of the dinosaurs, go the way of the dodo, go to a better place, go for the big sleep, find the end of the road, find the end of the rainbow, join the choir invisible, keel over, kick the bucket, knock off, make the final curtain call, become murderized, return home, pop one's clogs, push up the daisies, go six feet deep, shuttle off the mortal coil, take a dirt nap, lay incredibly still for a very long period of time, never crack a smile again, meet Jesus, meet Buddha, meet Muhammad, meet Benjamin Franklin, go on a fantastic journey, curl up, stiffen, prepare his final speech, experience the death rattle, give back to Mother Earth, turn into plant food, become one with nature, become sucked into the great supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy and then join the force.
We all are about to die, but it seems he wants to go first. Everyone else, get in line! All aboard the hellbound express!
