Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I'd like some role claims sent my way. Having claimed as Goombario without counter-claim and having been attacked by pikachu last night, I think I'm pretty well confirmed as town. Specifically, it would be nice if Captain Falcon and Admiral Dane would get in touch with me. But I'd also like to hear from Vivian. And the rest of you too, of course :)

You don't have a super missile anymore?

One use only. Besides I wouldn't know who to use it on; it's a bit late in the game to be taking pot-shots.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Night 10
Most of the remaining ten crew members were stationary in the bases they had formed for themselves. But not all of them.
Dr. Madeline Bergman was on the move that night.
In her arms she held a gun that was not huge, but still managed to look too big for her to effectively fire. It was shaped something like a shotgun, but from the level of technology present it was clearly not used to hunt quail, or even space-quail for that matter.
She was headed down towards the Quarantine Bay. With such an affinity for Phazon, she was certain Pikachu would be hiding there- if it were hiding at all, that is. Before entering the quarantined area, there were several automated airlocks she had to pass through.
Most of the power in the GFS Olympus was out at this point, and only access doors and lighting were running in a few areas. Madeline found it very odd, then, that the depressurization chambers were still running. Perhaps they had been rebooted manually… but that would have taken an incredible amount of electric power.
After the first chamber had pressurized, the door to the second chamber slid open automatically. At the end of the long hallway was a large metal hatch- the door which had exploded when Cloud Strife was defeated. And in front of that heavy door was a small figure.
When Madeline recognized the creature, she nearly screamed, but caught herself. It appeared to be sleeping. Slowly, she approached, pointing her gun at it awkwardly. Finally, she stood directly in front of it, incredulous that it had not awoken from the noise with those long ears. Then she fired.
A wave of super-chilled air was launched from the gun. Pikachu sprang into action before the blast hit it. Apparently it had only been pretending to sleep. The blast from the gun bounced harmlessly off of Pikachu even as it frosted and cracked most of the metal plating behind it.
“Pika~!”
Pikachu leaped into the air and onto Madeline’s ice gun. As it bounded forcefully off of it, the researcher lost her balance and dropped the gun. Pikachu landed several yards behind where Madeline had been standing. Now she was cornered between Pikachu and the heavy door leading into the Phazon Quarantine chamber, which had been frosted shut anyway. Pikachu giggled gleefully.
Pikachu began crackling with electricity and Phazon energy. Madeline fumbled for her gun, and began discharging it frantically at the small creature to absolutely no effect. Soon, a glowing vortex surrounded Pikachu, and inside its eyes glowed an even brighter blue.
The static electric force was so powerful that already Madeline’s hair was beginning to stand on end. Realizing she could do nothing, as the vortex surrounding the creature blocked her exit, Madeline sank to her knees in despair. The Pikachu charged towards her.
The pain was excruciating. But as the high voltage passed through her, Madeline realized that though it pained her, it was not harming her body. The electricity passed directly to her Energy Tank, where the extreme volume of it caused it to shatter.
Pikachu stood against the heavy steel door, breathing heavily. It was recharging after the attack, but it would not do so for long. It glared with anger at the woman who had survived its judgment. Madeline sprinted out of the hallway as fast as she could, closing the air-seal door behind her.

Madeline Bergman is yet one more GF, which means we've got another fake if there are equal numbers. Madeline and I have been attacked by Pikachu, and The Researcher performed a different kill. Plus, csargo claimed as Hero yesterday, which struck me as unlikely. Conclusion, csargo is Pikachu. Let's end this thing.

I attempted to block him but the attack on me caused it to fail. I suspect it's because the blockee can still attack the blocker.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
It kind of looks like Madeline attacked Pikachu with her ice gun.
Madeline, whoever you are, did you attack someone with an ice gun? If so, they're probably Pikachu.
EDIT: Well, Skooma just answered my question.

To avoid editing the above vote post...
My block wasn't unsuccessful due to defenses as some of my others have been (ie: Ironside), this one just flat out failed specifically because I was attacked. It had to be mister Csargo. Lets lynch this furball and give Ash his manhood back.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
OK, in my great desire to see Csargo live even another second, I have even appealed to what I deem to be low and vile, merely in order to appeal to the target audience. I have made an analytical case based on commonly held methodological presuppositions that a majority of players hold. Obviously, doing this for too long will corrupt my mind, so it is quite brief, you can go back to where I refer to check my interpretation of events and not only will they be vindicated, but more evidence will come to the front which I have omitted.
The thesis: There is quite a lot of good evidence that Csargo is not Pikachu.
Exhibit A: The TinCow lynch is probably the best place to look for other members of Phazon. As TinCow was the first Phazon member to be flagged and in threat of dying, it would make sense that the Phazon try either:
1) Save him, as it was so early in the game and delaying his lynch as long as possible would be preferable to having him die so early, even at the expense of the partial credibility gained by being on the lynch of him, and there was a feasible counterwagon going that allowed just this.
1) Lynch him to gain a degree of credibilty as roles are revealed at death.
Both of these approaches seem a lot more likely as a Phazon course of action than say, showing aloofness to the matter. Csargo, on the other hand, did just that. Not only did he abstain from voting that whole round, but this was his only post (without even an explicit abstain vote):
Quote:

This indifference seems unlikely for a Phazon to show.
Exhibit B: Examine very carefully what Diamondeye said about Csargo before and as he revealed as Dooplis, especially his statements on or after the round round of his lynch. There seems to be a very strong intimation that Csargo is not Phazon at all. In fact, one reading of it has Csargo as a potential Bowser team member in some sense.
The purported case on Csargo seems to be the fact that Skooma Addict's night action ON Csargo was blocked because he was attacked. However, an invisible inference is being casually made (perhaps in some cases with complete ignorance to the fact it is being made at all) that Csargo was the one who attacked him. This inference is unjustifiable, as any attack from any person should block the night action.
Another reason (in fact the only other major reason I can think of) that may be brought up is that during the Renata vote, Csargo voted Atpg in lieu of Renata. His action may perhaps be seen as an attempt to save Renata. While this is a somewhat plausible reading of this action, given the broader context, it seems an anomaly. Also one can point out that Csargo voted Atpg early on, when the vote between Atpg and Renata was not close, and it seemed that Renata would almost certainly be killed. Indeed, one could make the case that a plausible act for the last remaining Phazon would be to put his/her vote on Renata for credibility. Especially if that wasn't done for TinCow (which in Csargo's case, it wasn't).
One final point of consideration is inactivity. Pikachu did not make an appearance in the night writeup for one night 5. One may be tempted to argue that this implies inactivity, which it most certainly does not, at least not solely, and attempt to make a case that Csargo is known for periods of inactivity and not sending orders in. However, the case can be turned around on this premise. One could argue that Csargo would be expected to be much more inactive than missing just one kill round (and that one missed kill does not necessarily imply inactivity in the first place).
I really hope you consider my words carefully, and realize the manifest error you are in. Unvote Csargo, and please lynch someone else. Skooma Addict seems like the best bet so far. We are not 100% sure that the Hero faction can be trusted. Perhaps they have goals of their own. And Skooma Addict is Hero with much more certainty at this point than anyone else is anything else. I suggest he die to cover the town's bases. After all, the town can afford to win by attrition.
The last thing I will try is something I haven't done in a very long time, because the audience has changed, and it likely will not work (the previous audiences were so much cooler in many ways than the current audience, and I really long for them back ). However, given the graveness of the situtation, it is worth a shot:
Please, please, please, PLEASE, for my sake do not lynch Csargo. For my sake. Please.
That is all.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
I think to really get there, you'd need something like the following: Heroes (Town Power Roles that win with Town only), Townies (win with one brand of scum if they survive, win with town regardless of survival), Scum Sympathizers (Win with town if survive, win with one brand of scum regardless of survival) and Scum. Obviously there are two brands of everything except hereos.

So, if Csargo was converted to a hero like he claims, then I'll put my vote on vote: Beefy for now.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Conversion from townie to hero might be due to the extinction of a team that was previously able to recruit that townie.
EDIT: This would make Beefy an equally bad choice.

Re: [Council of Villains] A State of Corruption [In play]
Considering what Reenk said, and looking back at the early Phazon lynches, I would say that the player who's most likely Pikachu, is pevergreen.
This is strictly based on the D2/D3 voting, and sadly I don't have time to make a big post about this (maybe I will later). On these two days pever made a lot of vote shuffling, considerably more than the others days (it shows that he was more interested in these lynches than when other factions were targeted) and some of his votes were definitely helping the Phazons.
I know that pever claimed Hero, but I don't know which role. If he isn't Captain Falcon or Admiral Dane, I'd say he's a good pick to be Pikachu.
More on this, later, maybe. Have a look by yourself.

You're right, however I don't see why you are bringing this up, or what it has to do with Csargo being lynched.
On another topic, there's not enough activity in the game thread. Feels like the Town is asleep, and we're missing 4 votes. Hopefully something is going behind the scenes.

edit: Also, I'm getting confused again Romanic. Is the hero faction the cover? I thought someone said IDFG was, since theres no more GF? I'm getting confused.
Happy australia day everyone!

I don't know what cover role Pikachu will have, the analysis made is not conclusive enough to say that he would have a specific cover role. In my eyes it could be anything (IDFH, GF, Hero) but I thought GF was the most likely.

You're right, however I don't see why you are bringing this up, or what it has to do with Csargo being lynched.
On another topic, there's not enough activity in the game thread. Feels like the Town is asleep, and we're missing 4 votes. Hopefully something is going behind the scenes.
Well, only 10 players have any real reason to pay attention, while the few dead players that still pay attention are actively participating, or just watching from the sidelines.
