Sorceror 17er Game Thread

tbh i think benneh has been pocketing me the last hour or so and i kind of want them to speak more of their own thoughts individually instead of just being my cheerleader because it's irking me out

have been considering sitting on that because i think he's a villager but weh. kinda keeps rebounding in my head

tbh i've been spaced out enough that until now i couldn't remember if you were the last wolf or not i thought not but didn't remember it was vandy until this second

i don't have a super clear picture of your play and it feels like it's improved enough since then that i don't think any meta analysis i'd try to bring to it would be especially valuable

i think there are specific posts that made me think this, but i've liked the nuance and oomph of your longer-form posts that i've read, and it doesn't feel like you're particularly agenda-driven

idk i could say the word organic if i wanted to be derivative of myself

I have a weird impression that this is walking back on something Csargo said already.

I'll have to double check but I had the impression that they backed off their strong read on the HK/Me interaction.

i reread rask and still think hes vaguely ok but wouldnt protest strongly if thats where people ended up voting

my issue is that

and this may be a factor of the playerlist composition

everyone feels super homogeneous in a way that's distinct from like thinking everyone's super towny or whatever

just there aren't. lines

there aren't divides which aren't necessarily that helpful but once you stack enough of them on top of each other people start popping out

there's like some of it in the org-specific group kiinda but even then it's. very non-discrete in a way that doesn't make me uncomfortable because i don't think we're like way off track necessarily but it's puzzling

for context i've been super busy and super tired and using this game to distract myself in a melancholy sort of way

and it is an interesting game and i am enjoying it but

my brain is not at its best

which has shaped my approach a fair bit (less meaty engagement, eyes glazing over at most long posts, questions because i can learn a lot about a specific thing i want to know but not actually have to exist in thread a ton)

might have actually been helpful because my thoughts are more swirly and when they settle they're more liable to settle poorly esp when i'm in this sort of headspace

Can you expand on that? I was under the impression you were leaning on ladd's townread of HK and I'm kind of missing the evolution of like, how you got here.
