But hey, you leaving it open just means slash could be added there pretty easily. :2thumbsup: we could use another guy off in the east. That or someone in Italy.

Yeah 100% Orthodox doesn't cut it for me. I was kind of leaving it for Russia though, we had a deal. I didn't think that a new player would be able to play as them, and it's not like anyone would send an army over there to take it.

Of course it goes without saying that Frances downfall is mostly due the Brave men who fought for thier country when a power hungry tyrant tried to extend his empires boundaries.

If he did nothing his situation would still get worse. So Zugzwang doesn't really apply.

Not so. With the game mechanics, doing nothing would simply give him a huge treasury to be used to recruit whatever units he wants in some province far away from the action. Then, using that huge force, he could smash all opposition.

Of course if he did that he would be in dept and France would be multicolored.

Well seeing as you didnt even bother to ask for it before attacking your neutral neigbour... yeah you are a power hungry tyrant.

Going back to the Status Quo would be acceptable for France.

I think he's more pointing out the fact that this war was started over a piece of land which the swiss wanted, them not being able to have it limits their power.

NOW the nations of europe are united against france and are going to tear him to pieces and limit his land.

Over what, a few hexes, some idle threats back and forth?

I don't think this war is right, on either side, but that's just my opinion.

I think your confused, the swiss had the land and france was the one who wanted it.

Absolutely hilarious. Those who start wars must pay for their villainous deeds. France would "accept" a white peace when they are in a terrible, losing position with 3 nations advancing on him. Yeah, I'd accept that too, in France's situation. And if I were France, I would think anyone who offered to let me off that easy is daft. It's like a group police officers surrounded a criminal on the street, who was in the process of stabbing someone to death.
