Actually I had to look up his moniker but I like the Honourable. It had a nice ring to it!Quote:

I'm actually disappointed how I ended up roleplaying Hapsburg(although to be honest, I didn't really stick with him for long enough). Compared to his historical counterpart he falls rather short. I meant him to be fierecely Imperial, and level-headed, but he ended up being a bit of a spoiled cowardly brat.
Can't be too disappointed about how he turned out in the end though. :laugh4:
im interested with what happens to becker, welf, dieter and the rest of the *groan* hrr of course.
My guess is, the neutrals, if they don't flee, will probably take some thankless role that offers little power or room for advancement in the Republic.
As for the HRR, the Illuminati is currently in the process of one last story... stay tuned.
oo sweet!
I was just going over the battle again and had a few observations:
Franconian nobility has almost ceased to exist, every Franconian to enter the battle died. The only player character left is Dieter von Kassel and whatever underage or untaken avatars there are. If the game continued, I'm sure what to be done with Franconia would be a contested question amongst the victors as the only pro-Republic noble, Fritz, died childless. The possibility exists that the Duchy would be split among the the other three.
Swabia also payed a heavy price, losing its Duke and two fifths of the nobility. The question now is, who gets to be Duke?
Austria was the only Duchy not to lose any nobles, in contrast to the rest of the game.
Dieter von Kassel and Welf von Luxemburg's fates are undetermined. Will neutrals be tolerated, particularly since Dieter can now claim the title of Kaiser? Would Edmund Becker be brought back from exile, or will he join a Jacobite movement?
Of the 16 avatars to enter the battle, 9 made it out alive.
What will happen in Outremer? Matthias is going to kick it soon, and he's the only avatar out there. Will the Sicilians be fought off? Will France finally be destroyed? Are we ever going to have our full vengeance against the Greeks, Poles, Hungarians, Danes, Venetians and Russians?
Franconia is down to 0 active avatars on the family tree and no current RBG's. There are 3 unmarried females, 1 underage female (Jan's daughter), and 2 underage males (the oldest is Jan's son).Quote:

Duke von Hamburg... finally after all these years. Grandfather Fred would be so proud... :clown:
Dieter struggles up from the ground, blood pouring from his wounds. He turns towards Zirn on his right and launches a spear straight through the man's head before collapsing to the ground again...:clown:Quote:

And if there is one thing I have learnt from this game and the two mafia games I've played it is "NEVER TRUST A LAWYER (especially if it is TC)"
And I guess I was right about Arnold all along...
Do you mean about Arnold being the leader of the Order?
Reading through the Illuminati thread has shown me just how blissfully unaware I was of most of what was going on in the game. :sweatdrop:
I never thought that, Dieter was just always against Arnold for seemingly no reason, perhaps Dieter knew more than was apparent...
Do I sense a final story for Dieter being considered?

I'm drafting up a final Illuminati story. It will take awhile as there are 6 or 5 of us left now and it will be a colaborative effort.
I want to do it right and wrap up everything in a relatively short fashion, that makes the writing harder.
I could write one lopping his head off :clown:Quote:

But he did not die, for Arnold had no heart and he evolved into a great fire breathing demon and poor Dieter was burnt to a crisp.
how's that?
EF, oh dear...Arnold is just so misunderstood. :clown:Quote:

ah come on just look at his coat of arms! He's evil I say, EVIL! :clown:
(dang I forgot to use that smiley in my last post...)
GH, I'm a bit peeved that Hugo was totally absent from the battle last turn when I had provided express orders regarding the godling Hapsburg :furious3:
Seems like too good an ending for such a turncoat... (though I liked the story nonetheless...)
But I would to congratulate you on the great job done on this epic battle...:2thumbsup:
Hapsburg was a bit too far away. The only horsemen that had a chance of catching or delaying him were the Mounted Xbows and they were inactive that turn. Hugo will have to live with the knowledge that Hapsburg will have to live with the knowledge that he ran away for the rest of his life.
...did that last sentence even make sense? :dizzy2:
-edit- Lmao, the Pleasure Palace has been burnt down twice and still people are knocking on the door.
yeah you guys need a new headquarters, where are people supposed to contact you!
I think Arnold built an Illuminati sanctuary in Ragusa at one point.
Jeez, EF, haven't you read the Chronicles at all? We contact you. :laugh4:
lol, buuuut I doubt Arnold would think that the boy of a man he just killed would be a good target for recruitment. Just wanted a final story for Sifridus, will wait for AG to get back to me.
Thanks for the answer, GH...Quote:

Hopefully, we didn't have to rely on them for our very lives
Have to think of something for Hugo in the aftermath of the battle... Maybe he'll use some of the knowledge of the cult he discovered in the French court and begin reviving some of the dead avatars...
Hugo West, Reanimator...
I don't consider Hapsburg to really have 'gotten off' as, the starry eyed story aside, the Aztecs (And sundry related populaces) of the period weren't really well developed empires, but crude city states constantly engaged in low intensity war with their neighbors. Life there, even at the apex of their society as a 'god,' would've had no comparison to what Hapsburg would have known from his home.
I mean, the Aztecs themselves in the period lived on an island in the middle of a swamp, which they were only able to hold because no one else wanted it.
...and of course if we consider KotR somehow related to our own world, history requires that Hapsburg and all his men died leaving no ancestors. At least the dead characters shook the world and will, favorably or not, be recalled for it. Hapsburg is just the chap who shook in his boots and vanished.
edit: And if anyone here lives in Mexico City, sorry to rag your town. :p
