Greetings from switzerland
ps: sry for double posts
My fav troops are whatever Rome can muster.
ROME>ALL OTHER CIVS
I like most of what exists out there, but I am particularely fond of cataphracts. :)
And as a side note:
Oh my, I really hate the Hetairoi Kataphraktoi (sp?).
They chew up anything I can muster as Hayasdan, and already crushed two of my armies around Susa.
And yes, it's cause of them.
Most of the troops Bactria had was levies, but 2 units of those sure make a difference against my persian influenced armies. :(
my getai falxmen can whip your puny romans into whipped cream..... then we'll eat it! :smash:Quote:

Pfft! Beware, our Gaesatae have been known to rip pilum out of their own guts and hurl them back at you Roman cowards! You'll have to do better than that, little Roman.
You mean more like, grabbing the shaft of the Pila and beating the Romans to death with it?
For awesomeness of skin, amazingness of killing and the fact that I once assembled 200 of these guys to fight in a 60-unit battle - the Eqvites Consvlares. When I lead them at what I call the 'Great Hellenic War' in which Rome, the Arche Seleukia (allied to rome), the Ptolemaioi and Baktria (on the side of Ptolomaios) the carnage was such that out of ten (yes, ten) characters that fought for a free Ptolomaic empire and seven Roman-allied commanders, all seven foes died and only the lord of Seleukia fell on the roman side, thanks to a massive charge at the end of the battle which routed the enemy line. The Ptolomaic state collapsed immediatly after due to all of its characters having been killed.
The best units for me are the Belgae Milnaht and Batacorii, lead a army of only Belgae troops, apart from 3 units of archers and conquered half of germania
Indeed, that works too.Quote:
