Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
The thing is, people are going to pick who they think are good mafia-players/members from experience. A view of me is being a tragic fail in Swords of the Moon (except that I was right about Ichigo), Rubicon where I was mafia-killed turned two, Tainted Minds where I was lynched round 1 (Thanks YLC :P). Only games I actually got anywhere are ATPG's Mini-mafia (IV and V) and Caius's Soviet Mafia.
So while in a way, you are correct in regards to a WIFOM, however, I highly suspect the usual suspects to be Mafia-members for certain. In a sense, could even a WIFOM of a WIFOM.

Why remove experienced mafia players? From past experiences the host usually picks experienced players as vigilante or "good guys" as well. Yet you wish to inquisite so many experienced players, on the first round hoping for people to jump on your bandwagon. Or are you mafia, wishing to remove experienced players to further increase your success

Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
The downside of stating the obvious, being right works like reverse psychology in large mafia games which makes it apparently equal to being wrong.

Yet, we are not talking about the host picking, it is players. It is called the "Sports Team Syndrome" You ever noticed on the school field when they do the line-up pickings out of people in your class for the football game. The obvious thing that happens is the team captain picks the best players as it would mean their team would be the best and the other team doesn't get them. It is basic logic and common sense.

Read the above, it is called "Stating the Obvious". When you go to a job interviewer, the employer picks the best people (in their opinion) for the job. When you pick your players for your football team, you pick the best. When you are doing the spelling-bee competition, they pick the best people from the class.
Obvious, the Mafia isn't going to pick random n00bies that never basically played the game before for Mafia-underlings.

I have played many games where mafia did indeed pick noobies, and looking at the player list here, I'm pretty sure everyones played before
-
Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
Only time they would pick n00bies is they can be used as obedience slaves, in the sense that the experienced player actually gets more than one kill or more from abilities. Generally would get said n00bie to lurk and stay under the radar.
Since you stated yourself that everyone has pretty much played before, I doubt this is the situation being used.
Now will you unvote me for stating the obvious? It is rather scummy to vote some one for stating an obvious fact who only suggested investigating experienced players due to high probability of discovering they are infact, mafia-roles.

Rather anxious Beskar. :smash:
But none the less I like your explaination.

Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
You obviously aren't reading the situation correctly if you think I am anxious. I will supply that for free.
However, Thank you.
Anyway, unvote: Pevergreen ; vote: Abstain.
He didn't reply to me asking him asking if he wasn't going to lurk/sleep-through the game or not but I am not in the mood to bother with it. Even though I didn't even vote for him first, however, I get targeted for saying that comment in an unjust manner.

Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
Don't bother wasting an investigation on me. I know that given my rep yall will think I am mafia no matter what I do, but if you think about it, a mix of obvious choices and unobvious choices would be more prudent for the henchmen, and random.org doesn't know about my "reputation" so it has no bias towards choosing me as godfather.
Remember, your only real goal is killing Godfathers. investigations are somewhat useless in that regard. I would investigate people who have a likely chance of surviving the game. That's pretty darn rare for me, and in a game like this it's effectively zero chance.
Now that I've attempted to be helpful, I'll be lynched. :laugh4:
here, let me help you...
:hanged:

Alice, Alice? Who the :flower: is Alice?
(It' a song title.)

Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
It's a joke to ATPG (pizzaguy), use the 1st letter of each word.
-
Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
I know that, which I put in brackets "It's a song title" to my statement.
Just search for it on youtube, Diana. Just remember to miss out the :flower: part.

No lynch is allowed.
When tied, I will lynch one at random.
Missing two nights in a row will get that player replaced with Chaotix or an dead player

I see no proof of anyone's mafia just yet.
-
Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
As Greyblades said naming someone in the first day as mafia with no evidence is a scummy thing to do so on that note I`m going to Vote: AskThePizzaGuy for his claims against GH.

Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
I am sad to see Pizzaguy go like this.
I think first-round voting if meant for real other than encouraging people is the scummiest thing in the entire Mafia game, especially when there is no night phase.
Would you ever buy a computer game which is meant to last you a couple of weeks just to have it not working within hours of installing it? It is the cruellest thing in the world.
-
Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
I think we need to look at lurkers already, this round has lasted a long time. It has been extended 2x, and still some players haven't posted anything since the "IN" post. Let's get it in gear; AVSM, WE, LG, and Caius. At least post an abstain vote. I don't want to loose anyone to a WOG. We need all the players we have to make this a good game. :whip:
Sorry Caius you must have been voting when I was typing this.

There is the possibility of 12 players in this game being mafia( assuming there is no overlap in the henchmen selection). We can't afford to waste a lynch and there is a fairly good chance of this being correct, even if it is a shot in the dark. Besides, he'll just join the next game that starts anyway.
-
Re: Fillet Royale II: The Gang Wars (In Play)
he has a point, this is probably going to be a short game any way. I don't agree with it, but I can see what everyone voting for someone means.
