I am afraid you won't see me reading any books....so the game is all I am going off:yes:
After hearing all of this I almost tempted to snoop around for some books about it..... (probably not, but you never know)
:tongue: Space elves. Awesome. :laugh4::laugh4:
I am sorry....but other then the books and games....what else is there??:book:
The actual game?
Warhammer 40 000, the table top game, with the minitures and stuff.
Look, space marines:

Tau:

Its a franchise, what more does there need to be????
edit: bet its a pretty expensive hobby
Board games are dated...sort of like D&D..I could never get into those...:hide:
Warhammer 40k tabletop is :daisy:ing expensive,
but it's worth it for the level of customization you can do. You can even paint your own little pieces! :D
I've always wanted to get into WH and D&D but I have NO friends around here that play it, and DnD canceled their online service they were going to hold, because they are stupid!
:laugh4::laugh4: Ugghhhhh I would never be able to do that, I am a horrible painter..... I play DnD with friends, and that is good enough for me., Although the direction DnD is going I don't plan on following (mostly because the Books are so darn expensive)
if you're looking for books, read Eisenhorn, its frickin amazing. I started with the DoW games series and then got into the books, eisenhorn will deffinately get you wanting to read more. then see if u can grab Ravenor aswell which is kinda like a sequel but not to eisenhorn. heard that its just as good as Eisenhorn. Should be picking mine up this week or something.
So, since everyone is talking about necrons, i assume that the black things in the middle are them then
Tabletop is expensive...if you don't go to the right places.
Land Raider here: $96
Contact I have: $40
Space Marine Commander here: $31
From him: $15
Let me know if you want some stuff, he'll ship direct to you etc.
D&D is fun, but sometimes the players let you down. However, theres always DDO. Free to play soon. Fun game.
Let me know if you play Dawn of War 2.
Is it the Monolith?? I may need to scout it out first...then..:rifle:
Edit:I am not doing it for the Xenos either...but for the Emperor:yes:
Unlike the others, I am nerdy enough to read the books... FEAR MY KNOWLEDGE! FEAR IT!!!
As for the Necron situation, I am willing to ally with others, whether human or xenos, to destroy the Necron threat... I trust everyone knows the best way to deal with the threat?
...
*sigh*
:clown:
Now, if I were an Imperial Guard regiment, some Basilisk would be in order. If I had an orbital defense platform, however, I'd just turn it on the planet and burn the whole island till it sank beneath the waves, beneath the crust, into the mantle, through the outer core, into the inner core, and then the reverse process out the other side - That's when I would say "Okay, I am now positive, about 95% sure, the Necron's are gone, but if anyone wants, we can do it again to be 99% sure."
I am afraid this is not like taka's game...I do get some rather nice tricks though:2thumbsup:
But I am getting the feeling we should take out the Necron threat...If the Monolith becomes fully active, I hate to see what damage it would do....:help:
Who said there are necrons.
And even if there are, who said the monolith is here?
YOU SAID IT ...with your eyes.:inquisitive: Or not. Anyway don´t bash D&D, I´ve played it for ages but my group dissolved because we turned into powergaming killerjunkies.:sweatdrop:
Its all the manner of perspective.
Turn two has been completed, all PMs are out. Let me know if I screwed anything up.
23 hours to get orders in people. Turn 3 now.
Oh: General Events:
Sounds of combat come from the south west.
Action, wait for me, I´m comming (albeit very slowly). Don´t have all the fun without me...
I have to say, I had much more fun writing up Khazaar's actions than the battle scene (warning: my writing is terrible, so dont really expect a battle scene, just results pretty much)
My guess is it's the Orks that are fighting....:juggle2:
So Necros are not here??:inquisitive: If so, then no reason to hold back on the "Kill Xenos" checklist:yes::yes:
so who is fighting who? anyone care to admit and possible get support?
Southwest, that would be the chaos marines fighting.
I'm not so stupid as to come out swinging at everyone, I am simply watching.
Turn 3 is over, PM's have been sent.
It is now Turn 4.
Orders due in 26 hours from now.
Events: None.
People with their not sending orders in. Gah.
come on people! send in your orders or else it's a real killer to the game and the host's morale.
I'm entirely incompetent at this game and I still send my orders in!
