Yes, I looked it through. Close game, very close. But chariots were used decisively, and not straight through BSR's own line.

For all interested the most recent EDU I posted before I left contained fixes that fixed the Lugii swordsmen and the other problem there was...

If they have AP in the updated EDU then they weren´t fixed and that´s my bad, and you shouldnt use them.

Casse still have the best cheapest chariots, are now the only faction that can use goidils, and rycalawre are very good.

They do not have AP although I think we need to discuss that in the next version.

AP twohanders were statistically very overpowered. The change was necessary if we were to implement the elite size increase. Rhomphaiaphoroi regularly rack up over 200 kills on large size still, and Kluddargos use a statistically identical weapon (in the new EDU).

I´d like to hear some commentary on other major changes, particularly on cavalry secondaries and elite size increases.

Drapanai are oficially useless. With 11 attack and that flimsy defence they are worse than cannon fodder. You're better off with any other unit .

Also , Ptolemaioi roster now looks interesting . At least for me , having neitos , phalanxes and kretikoi + ellies as factionals opens up possibilities

For Casse , i always felt that giving them the goidilics as factionals would be a huge motivation to play them.

It's his option , me thinks :) . Why limit him in getting the most out of his faction?
Noone is asking you to only use early/late carthage units , right?

But there is no rule that I cannot use the light libyan spearmen with the heavy ones, but there is a rule that Roman players cannot pick troops from different eras, also, steppe factions have to announce steppe. Polyiban and Marian are two different armies.

All Roman armies revolve around heavy infantry though so I don't really see what the big deal is. Polybians and Camillans can bring a little cavalry to the fight, thats about the only difference.
