Those gathered muttered to themselves a bit, still confused. “You may have noticed the red barrier I erected in the city. That is because the time of reckoning is upon us. The nefarious agents of the Netherworld and the Heavens are standing here, right amongst us, in disguise. My diviners have detected their presence, and they have fallen for my trap. Now, with nowhere to go, we shall exterminate them, one by one, and slowly squeeze the life from them!”
“However, I am, if nothing, a generous ruler. Heavens, Netherworld, I want you to make the first move. Everyone, I have arranged residences just outside the palace, but still inside the barrier. Night is very nearly upon us. Go, rest yourselves for the night. Tomorrow, we shall convene here. Make your move, scum....I wait with baited breath.”
