Hi guys,
Gaz and I played our games, they were 2 great games, considering we are both not accustomed to early era games.
The result was 1 each.
Having looked at the log files, using CWB scoring, I think I pipped Gaz.
His win was 21.3%, whereas mine was 33.2%. I will send logfiles etc and Glor, can you kindly confirm it please.
I think I managed to save around 1500 over the 2 games (think Gaz used nearly all his in both games)

Well in my opinion this is getting too drawn out i have to train for the cwb the cwc and am starting the multiplayer campaign on the 15th.
I think you guys should just all drop out of the tourney and concede that I'm the best.

Ok, I will resend just the logs and see what happens.
In my first round, I saved: 498 and fought as Germany.
In my second round, I saved: 168 and fought as Hungary.
I have screenshots of the unit selection screen, so even if the logs are bad I can show what was spent. I've found that sometimes the logfiles go corrupt if you change their original name...which is what I think I did. I will go and see if there is a "ghost" of the original name.

I think before the start of the first (screen shot, maybe) battle, florins need to declared, then, savings from the first game are added to the default florin amount for the second game (for high era games, 10k plus savings from first game, where the first game florin amount is 10k plus savings from previous round).
Also, maybe a 4 max rule better be added, as more than 4 units messes up the florin spent etc in logfiles.

Simplest solution in my eyes is: Host 15k and let each side picks their army. After the first game you declare how much you used, if you do not trust your opponent or forgot how much fl. your army was, check the log or the printscreen of the army selection.
Host 15k again and both will have enough room to select their armies within the limits of their savings of course but every player should be able to select an army that is not against the tourney rules.

Well, if florins saved becomes redundant, then just host 10k games, whats the point of saving florins if they are not acounted for in subsequent rounds? as suggested for this round.

The florins are important kans. My point simply is that it makes no sense to host a 12698 vs 11556 game and then recalculate and host 11224 vs 10678 for the second one.
You know how much you saved, host a 15k, stay within the limits of your savings and enjoy your two games. Of cours to assure that you stay within the limits you have to calculate the florins, but its not worth bothering with it for hosting, if you have confidence in the player you are facing.

There seem to be some overall difficulties (mailed to me&posted)
here's a reply from a mail :
In round 2 you can use only the money saved in round 1. So you can not use money you may have saved in the first battle, in the second.That money is transferred to the next round.
In round 3, you can use any money saved in round 1&2.
Again, you cant use money saved in the first battle for the second.

How about this for the formal rule:
Each Round is composed of 2 battles, one attacking and one defending. After each battle the amount of florins saved is banked until the next round. You cannot use any "saved" florins (any florins in the bank) until the current round is over. At the start of the next round the florins are withdrawn from the bank and you can use them as you choose in Round 2 (either in attacking and/or defending). You cannot use florins saved from your attacking battle in your defending battle (or visa versa) in the same Round.
Kind of long winded but its pretty clear.
