I could go into specifics, but it is a waste of time, so I won't. The Franklin quote does a better job of summing my objections than any other I could make. The Patriot Act should be considered item by item. Anything that is not absolutely necessary should be removed. It was an emergency act, that's why it was given an expiration. Emergency acts rarely make good law.
