honestly, who didn't see this coming? the panthers were obvious over-achievers in these playoffs, and denver was clearly gifted one by the pats.. too bad really, pats/steeler would have been a good game i bet.. nfc was a bit of a joke though.. 'hawks were never in any danger.

You have to credit a good deal of the Panthers offensive incompetence on the fact that they had no running game. Losing Foster in Chicago was a rotten streak of luck, but losing Goings (the #3 back in the roster) is horrendous. You no longer have Davis, Foster, or Goings. Carolina is not a team that can go all-air with fabulous success...they need the run to set up the pass.
The Carolina-Chicago game last week was brutal. Lots of injuries, and the hitting was vicious. I was hoping for a Carolina-Pittsburgh matchup, but I just couldn't see Carolina recovering from that Chicago game.
Pittsburgh-Seattle. Let the hype begin.
