Somewhere in Sweden I'm guessing:
Stockholm
Denver?
The city is not under the snow. It's not Stockholm. Not Denver either - although I did rename the file 'Denver' before uploading it to fool you all. ~;)
Hints:
-Try to guess the scale of the picture, figure out which zoom level you need.
-The clues for this city are in it's surroundings, the physical features of it's location.
-Up is north in the picture.
Those clouds looking like a coastline threw me off a little while.
But looking along that snow covered mountain range you can barely glimpse a few volcanoes. That put me in the right direction toward the American continent and its West coast. Searching South America I finally found myself in Chileā¦
I believe we are looking at Santiago.
Yes, Santiago de Chile it is!
Thought I'd try zooming out for a change, to let you all figure out the city through it's location, it's physical features.
Those are the snowcapped Andes mountains. Santiago is located in the 'Central Valley', a long valley not far from the coast. Sigurd, those clouds follow the coastline very closely, where they are stopped by the Andes, they were another clue.

Worth a shot.
My, those walls in the lower left can only be the Kremlin's. So Moscow it is. And I'm goin to change my name to 'Hawkeye VI the Fat'. :beam:
(We were talking about the same thing with those clouds. After checking a map, it's somewhere in between 'following the coastline closely' and 'making a "new coastline", totally unlike the real coastline'.
Half of the white stuff on the left is snow, the other half clouds. Anyway, teh boring.)
How do you guys do this? They all look the same to me.
I checked Santiago, ugh. My eyes fail me again.
Correct again...Quote:

And I must say... damn imressive considering you are not using Google Earth to locate these cities.
I think the following picture was taken with Google Earth. What's the city?
Question picture spoiled again:

Coronado, in California.
Yes, I should have followed the joke. Shame.
It's Coronado naval base, in San Diego, California. Take it away, rdeče, I'm just dying to find out which football stadium you'll come up with next. :beam:
Was that a swastika???
Apparently devoid of stadium - they can be so awkward to find at times. If I spot it I might
change the picture or add another. Though this is not as difficult as the last, I'd think.
Yes, I found it...
Grozny is the place... puh :sweatdrop:

Hmm....I'm guessing a city in Europe
You are probably right... even though the inhabitants don't consider it European.Quote:

Are you even looking?
Yes I'm looking! And I have the distinct feeling that I know exactly what that city is, it's just that...that 'aha' moment isn't coming. Oh this is frustrating.
Istanbul? I'm just guessing here...
It is not Istanbul nor any city in Turkey...Quote:

Hmmm... sort of European, but the residents think not + not Turkey. British, then. Not London or Liverpool.
Funny how the water (a river, I guess) just 'ends' in a harbor. Checking other Brit cities.
I assume "up" is always North, yes?
Not always in my pictures... but in this case, yes...Quote:
