To those who hate/dislike the US
I would like to say that I am living on the West coast in Salem, Oregon
and also finding great faults in my country. Outside the United States I am sure you all heard a lot of bad but nobody probably talks anything worth admiring.
The truth is that most, 70-80%, do not like the president or congress (The people who help make the laws) and believe that eventually the whole world is going to hell. Most Americans focus on everyday life, (I.E. Going to work, raising a family, enjoying your time off with loved ones or things you enjoy.) and not what the world is doing. I do feel that most Americans are getting dumber, I believe its because nobody is REQUIRED to learn or even think on a daily basis or figure out how to make tomorrow better for someone else that doesn't give them something in return. You ask an American what the think of this important topic or that topic and quite a lot of them will say "I don't know" or "I don't need to know that s***." I believe because of this we let the lawmakers do what they want.
I believe that America is going downhill. God makes us strong for a while, so we can help each other but when a nation/person who becomes strong, stays strong for a while - they become stagnant and don't evolve. If you look at history, almost every nation was strong for a while and they all lose it after a time. Don't believe me
Our country has a bigger trade deficit and lose more money every year. The rich get more rich while people who work hard don't get any breaks. It used to be that one man could work while the wife stays home and you could still afford college for your kids and now you can't even afford to own a house with a two person income.
There are a lot of joys in America though, if you check the Patent office (international one if their is one) you would realise that 3/4 patents (Inventions) were created here. Our country created the United Nations and although flawed, it makes it so all the nations can talk out their problems and not jump right into war. Modern Thinking (although you cant see it now) mostly started here within the last century as far as Womens Equality and everyone is equal. What other nation do you have an area populated with SO MANY OTHER RACES. Try going to Vietnam as I mentioned above and see what I mean by them staring at a white person because they never seen one before in person in the backwater parts of the country. Although most people outside the US hate the US, they still enjoy the exports that we do such as movies, games, culture, clothing (although made in Taiwan) and music that we do produce.
Also, the US is actually necessary because we also, at our expence, pay for the FDA's research on drugs to cure deseases, give billions a year to aid other countries, assist (and mostly fail) in the worlds peace process, and so many other things that I would fill up this page with at this time. In America there is extreme beauty and people really do care about others almost as a whole.
What makes America really suck is that people like our president are everywhere, although not as big as the good people, those who would screw over you to make him feel better or richer. Those who believe that even knowing they are rich they need to be richer. Those who have abortions (although limited now) just as a form of birth control. Those who think War is good for business and don't realise WHAT war is or what it does where it takes place. Those who hate a Black Person for being black and those who find really sick ways of hurting the child next door. Those who work their workers on "pennies on the dollar" and strip their medical benefits just so they can put more money in the bank that they will never use.
As a whole, most people hate America because their country isn't as good. When I went to Vietnam, a lot of people just wanted me to hand them money and being a good person its kinda hard. I shown some pictures already and those are ACTUAL houses they live in in the background. What I haven't told you yet is that instead of TRYING to make their lives better, the people get drunk on rice wine daily and do the bare minimum. People need to realise that the US wasn't already built when we got off the boats. We had to work VERY HARD to make this nation strong and worth living in. If the people in Vietnam, Mexico, or other inferior countries would get off their butts and work TOGETHER (Either the people within a nation or the nations as a whole work together) like China is doing now. They could make their country great too. But instead everyone wants a quick fix and that also leads to the whole "I hate America" faze. Working is hard but anything worth having you have to work for.
