I dunno....we'll give him a day, and if he doesn't return, Basileus Seleukia can go next. I'm fairly certain he is Chremonides, so Basileus gets to be the new guy. :)

@Spoofa,
I would like to see the Hegemon discuss army movements with the leading general. It would be a little more realistic, and it would add a little more immersion for those who are leading the armies (even though they aren't necessarily playing the campaign). I would also like to see governors become more involved, but I don't even know who is governor of what city at this point. Once my reign is up, I might try something a little different....hopefully I'll be able to get more people involved during my reign, as opposed to more or less just watching (which I understand is a little hard to avoid at the beginning of the game, as there is really little going on).
at this exact moment...
Areus Eurypontidos Lakedaimonios ------- Sparte
Akrotatos Eurypontidos Lakedaimonios --- Chalkis
Chremonides Aithalidos Attikos ---------- Athenai
Agathokles Rhodios --------------------- Rhodos
Epeius Halikarnassios ------------------- w/ army
Ok....cool. Thank you.
Well, for people who are governors, you should probably give a crap about your city-state, if only for roleplaying purposes. :)
so who's going to carry on the Hegemony? EasternScourge or Basileus Seleukeia?
if someone don't continue this soon we might go just go crazy... CRAZY!!! http://www.twcenter.net/forums/image...umping0001.gif
seriously though I think if one of them has downloaded and begun playing they should let us know just so we know it's progressing.
And as for governors...
Perhaps governors during their hegemony can build anything they like in their city, WITHOUT consulting the Council but MUST consult the council if building anything outside of their city?
and what about spheres of influence?
How about the governor of Sparte gets to also control what is built in Korinthos, the gov. of Athenai gets to decide on Chalkis and the gov. of Rhodos gets supervision over whatever we conquer that's nearby like Krete or Halikarnassoss or Byzantion...
just a thought :2thumbsup:
We'll give easternScourge until midnight tonite....and if he hasn't said anything, we'll move on to Basileus Seleukeia.
You've got 7 hours guy (if for some reason, you are out of town, at work, etc, and just can't get to it...don't worry. I had to skip my first turn, your still more than welcome to continue playing).
Well, EasternScourge appears to be inactive/dropped out. For now, we'll assume he's inactive. If he doesn't come back within 48 hours, Chremonides will go to someone else, and he'll have to get in line for a new character if he wants to come back and play.
Basileus Seleukeia is up.
Sorry for disappearing like that. Our Internet connection suffered some problems due to lighting, and I just got the ability to get on.However, its at my grandma's house,so my access is limited. So until the Internet problem is solved,I am forced to temporarily drop out the game.
nevertheless glad to hear from ya
if Basileus Seleukeia doesn't come up then I guess it's Theycallmetighty's turn?
Yeah we'll give him 24 hours, after that we'll move on to the next player. Hopefully, someone will eventually show up.Quote:

Not enough players to make voting very worthwhile. The save game file is located in KuKulzA's last hegemon post. I think it's on the previous page. Good luck. :)Quote:

Yeah....succession games with EB2 might be more popular, seeing as how more and more people seem to be going over to M2TW (or planning on it after Kingdoms is released). It's just the nature of the beast when your playing a game which is three years old. Eventually, interest wanes.
I've actually been thinking of reinstalling civ III and making my own little mods like I used to, but after R:TW I don't know how into it I'll be able to get. I just loved civ III because it was so easy to mod. Modding R:TW, for the most part, is just over my head.
will EB2 be based in the same time period as this one? Will it have anything to do with the Middle Ages?
EB2 is EB on the M2TW engine. It will encompass the same time periods. There will be more playable factions though, although the unit limit remains the same. How the EB team works that one out, I really don't know.
I know what you mean, I am hoping to be able to get a new PC to play M2TW kingdoms and mod a conversion to be about the Classic Mayan era... they said it was the most moddable, but they didn't say it would be the most modder friendly :beam:
Basileus Seleukeia, don't forget to post up updates! :2thumbsup: even if they aren't battles
well I still want to play,, so we can still try to salvege this.
make sure you let me lead the battles if my character is voted to be the general of our army mr.BS (no pun intended.)
Oh it's salvageable...only one person has dropped out. It will hopefully get more interesting once Makedon is out of the way, and we have to decide if we should go east or west.
It has never been our greek dream to go west, the east is where our desires lie.
Aaah, perhaps.
Although the fertile valleys of Sicilia and Italia are extremely inviting. :)
Sorry, I'm very busy today, I can only play tonight, so no updates for today, but I think I can do some for tomorrow.
I must disagree: Syrakousai proves otherwise.Quote:

agreed... though I feel controlling the Black Sea would be better than heading east or west...Quote:

EDIT: damnit i love the Getai and Sauromatae, why am I vouching to destroy them :laugh4:
You have to remember, though, that mainland greeks aren't known for their cavalry....and both the Getai, and especially Sauromatae, have excellent cavalry. Once we have Thessalonikan (sp?) cavalry, we'll be in a far better position to take on cavalry based factions.
Really, though, we'll face a cavalry heavy army eventually no matter what direction we choose to go. Qarthadastim Sacred Band in the west, Seleukid Kataphraktoi in the east....Our hoplites will have their work cut out for them no matter which direction I think we choose to go.
One last thing to note, the north is extremely poor and sparsely populated, except for the coasts of the Pontus Euxine. If we do decide to go North, we should stay within the coastal territories, and swing down through the Caucasus into Asia Minor. The steppes aren't worth bothering about IMO.
i meant the area just south of the Getai (where the mines be), Kollatis, Byzantion, and the Crimean peninsula
Hmmmm, yes....these are good lands to take if it doesn't bring us in conflict with the aforementioned factions. :)
Kydonia, Bithynia, and Syrakousai are also viable options, but we would need a larger fleet.
This is assuming, of course, that we can break the makedonians.
of course, let us not get too far ahead of ourselves :beam:Quote:
