Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
Currently there is no connection between the murders other then uncontrollable suicidal impulse. I'm of the opinion that at this point, it doesn't matter whom your with, that doesn't make them the killer - it's obviously something mental/spiritual, rather then physical.
Not sure where that leaves us - we could be looking for one person, could be fighting the house, could be fighting something similar to a contagion, or could even have an unaware host of it.
IMHO, we need to reveal our locations, and where we have been each night. NOW, as this might give us a hint as to any pattern, if existing, we might follow.

Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
That was initially my opinion, but some players, supported by pizzas statement at the beginning of the game, that there is a killer amongst us who is not pizza. And that fellow has to be lynched.
Otherwise, whats the point of having the lynch option.
We don't know how that laddy is killing. This manor is full of supernatural happenings. But there must be a reason behind all this.
At the computer room, we were given options of searching
History of the manor
Scientific research on demonology
Church teachings
Cursed places
And one other thing which slipped my memory.
Here's my next theory which is bound to fail.
In the past, there has been couple attempts to search this place. But all of them ended up in a failure as no one survived.
First research of history of the manor told us that someone died in the past. And since then this place is cursed.
Scientific research told us that there is no evidence of demons existence but the attempt to investigate this place has failed.
There is plenty of ways to create semi demonic phenomenon. Drugs, noises, light works. All sorts of psychological warfare stuff.
Important thing is most of them aren't real. If the glass really shattered, we should be able to get out.
There must be purpose to all the things which could be researched. Perhaps researching the history could identify one of us having links to this manor.
Perhaps Church teaching will calm us so we could see stuff more clearer.
Perhaps Scientific research could tell us how to identify the horror tricks and even solve all the weird events.
Someone clearly doesn't want us to. Thus the lights breaking.
Here is what I suggest. Everyone gather up in one room. Hold each others hands facing the wall. We'll chant our sacred chants. We'll know if anyone is trying to kill others. We will stand the ground and do nothing until the night is over.
Darkness clouds our thoughts. We should stick together until we can get the lights back on.

I recommend that everyone attempts to find secret passages since this could be the way that the killer stalks around the house.

True. Another idea gone. We could do a group of three though.
Ok lets brain storm together.
1. How many killers?
There was 17 of us, so at least 2 sounds like a decent balancing. If its 2, or 3, we just have to lynch the mafias. but seeing how complex this game is, there might be a possibility of 1.
If its 1... Either killer is taking method which hardly links to him, or maybe something we do is going to activate more killers/ suicidals.
2. How is the killer killing?
Secret passage was mentioned by Captain Blackadder (Btw was there something evil roaming in the attic?)
If its tricks, then the grand fathers clock might have something to do with it... Like "Activate small child image at 9 oclock!"
Maybe if we take agressive actions we end up suiciding. We should test what happens if someone does particular action.
3. Game plan.
At least one of us should get out of here, so that the world knows what is going on in this manor. Preferably two.
Light and energy is absolutely crucial, investigating further and finding the killer should be our next step.
We should move around in a group so we can watch each other.
What do you guys think?
Also to compliment pizzas write up....
My cousins blubbering french in the dining... But thats giving me creeps...
And shower wasn't a pleasant experience.. I won't get to sleep tonight (Coffee maybe one reason for that.. but this one is too!)

Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
I have a pretty good accounting of Double A's actions; maybe Diana could chip in on Flax's. I don't know that there's anything to be learned, but maybe someone else wants to chew it over.
Day One -- Double A got one of the lamps from the parlor. I don't know if he took any batteries.
Night One, Day Two -- we both went to the living room, along with white_eyes. I don't know what Double A took there; he says nothing. He made no attempt to take the doll that white_eyes and I both wanted.
Night Two, Day Three -- Double A sent orders to follow me, winding up in the Guest Bathroom. We both saw visions of demonic faces during the night. Double A didn't want the night light that I took.
Night Three, Day Four -- To the dining room. AA said he hadn't sent any new orders, thus had followed me again automatically. There were no items here, if there ever were (I'm not aware if anyone has admitted to being in the dining room before we were.) I used the night light.
Night Four -- I decided to remain in the dining room. Centurion was also there and was supposed to have a lit candle, though it's not clear if he did. Not sure what AA did or didn't do in terms of orders, but he was reported as also being in the dining room with us at the start of the night, until his fatal excursion into the kitchen.

Because I had forgotten there was no stove in there, and I was attempting to try to make something from my items, but apparently I had never sent orders to pick up the item from the toolshed anyway so whatever.
I explain my "false claim" by saying I'm sorry I flubbed which day/night it was.

Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
Well, it's safety in numbers - we could try to cram people into adjoining rooms, probably about 4 (with 4 to each room, 1 with 3). and see if that helps at all. This, however, limits our ability to explore, obviously. We could do 5, 3 man teams that comb each room during the next 3 nights, each team having designated rooms to plunder.
Then everything is dumped into specific rooms that we'll camp in, and we will keep all the items in the House in there, for everyone to use.
Thoughts?

Currently, Husar is the only person unaccounted for during the time of both murders, not saying this means anything at all, just an aside.
Grey (D5, D18) - Locations confirmed by public writeup.
Lime Green - Reasons for action happening unexplained. (IE, how did the clock get upright? Why did the TV turn on and the little girl run by during that night? Most Importantly: Why did it all go back to normal afterward, as if it never even happened?)
Purple - Posted in purple in the thread, denotes something that the town can fix. (Note: The item "Circuit breaker" in the garage is also the same shade of purple in the writeup YLC, Beefy, and I got from last night. Perhaps some items have color to denote their importance in public/private actions? Maybe there is a key we can work out for item importance...)
Blue - Pertaining to the clock's chiming pattern.
Magenta - Things brought to my attention by players in private. In this case someone contacted me about a book that they have, which mentions "Sunshine Units", no information aside from the existence of these units is known/confirmed yet...

Morning Five
One of the guests called everyone to the Parlor for an emergency meeting. All the furniture was moved out of the way, and people started whispering to each other. White_Eyes wondered aloud "What's going on?" but no one told him anything. They placed a chair in the center of the room and told him to sit down.
They all stood in a circle around him and started chanting in Latin. Nothing happened, so they moved onto phase two, and started dumping water on him. He looked slightly pissed off, and slightly confused, but nothing happened, so they moved onto phase three. They started chucking eggs and White_Eyes, and soon he was covered in yolk and shells.
"Hey! You butt holes! I'm starting to get really pissed off over here."
They moved onto phase four, which was the chicken dance.

You heard the sounds of deep scraping noises behind you, and see the bloody warning carved on the wall behind you.

The Flax was with me each night until he was killed-(I think this is already in thread, but here goes again). N1- Master Bedroom, N2- Walk in closet, N3- Master Bath (where he was killed). We were fine until N3 then Beefy joined us and that was the night Flaxy was killed. I was very suspicious of beefy until today. I don't think it matters who your in the room with, the "killer" is using mind control over us (we are killing ourselves). Then N4- I moved to the parlor, nothing to report there, just woke up when Renata screamed. The only things that I have found so far is a lamp, batteries, and hangers, cloths... from the previous rooms. No real clues to anything.
@ Husar
I think we just need everyone to help figure this mystery out, and when a townie won't help it appears suspicious to everyone else. I think the key to solving this mystery is everyone working together. I agree with YLC we need to get into small groups and pick a few room close to each other and stay tonight, tell each other what happens. Maybe even take shifts to keep watch. I'm in the parlor now, but can move to the dinning room, or...
@ everyone
I have been trying to figure out some pattern to the clock chimes, it has to mean something (it's Pizza's game ya know)(He loves putting these subtle clues in his write up to drive us crazy). It's not pointing to the person killed, or the room they were killed in...can someone else look into this as well, please.

Really, the chicken dance, you are twisted. I'm worried, because I think I'm next to die, I couldn't help it, I couldn't look away from the chicken dance video. :stunned: :uhoh2: I was under it's spell.

Oh right. And while one of three has been quite forthright about his possession of a knife, both of the other two deny up and down having taken one.

I have it.
I lied about having it before, because honestly, I was going to go ape:daisy: and start killing people with it. Only after I had replied to you telling you I didn't have it, ATPG informed I couldn't do that.
:shame:
edit-
Just so you guys no, that doesn't mean I'm NOT trying to solve the mystery of this mansion...

I'm heading to bed now - me, split, and Beefy have decided our actions, and I've restored power. We'll keep watch tonight in the garage. Good Luck to all tonight, hopefully we have a better chance.

Ok... now that I've actually read the thread...
I DIDN'T get a lamp. random.org has denied me yet again. Pizza just forgot to tell me I didn't get it, and when he told me, I didn't say anything cause I didn't expect to die so early YET AGAIN.

Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
I was going to wait until I revealed this.....but there are cursed items though out the house and I, so far have found two....a lawnmower(garage) and a formal dress(Computer room)

This room contained power tools and a lawnmower, but the power tools have been removed. the lawnmower cannot be moved out of the room. (not movable)
I decided to destroy the lawnmower to see if my theory was right or if someone was doing the killing....and guess what?:book: I was right about the items being cursed because this is what happened after I broke it.....

You notice something odd when you disassemble the machine.... the room seems.... somehow different.
It is as though you were forced to hold your breath, and now that the machine is destroyed, you can breathe again.
We need to start destroying ANYTHING that is a personal effect of someone who once lived in this mansion.....demons can use them:yes:
And I am Vote:move to the garage to keep an eye on you YLC......:inquisitive: I get the feeling your going to put something more evil in there....(There has been "talk" of items being moved around somehow:inquisitive:)
And....I turned off the power to scare everyone.......what? I felt like making it more scary:laugh4:

Okay, thank you for this.
SOMEONE
KITCHEN NOW.
destroy the dishwasher in the kitchen, as well as the cabnets. Please.
This could be the solution to the puzzle, maybe the house really IS what's killing us!

Re: Murder Manor III- Game thread
I don't know about that....:sweatdrop: I was thinking along the lines of going for items that could be moved(In real life) but why could they not be moved in this house? A lawnmower is easy enough to move.....a Formal Dress is way to easy to move...yet they are (Unmoveable?). That didn't make sense to me:laugh4:
