Cuth… my x-postspidey sense tells me that's the real Cuth, at least he's solving, leave alone for now.

Monty… I think he tried to defend me? Odd. But then he voted for me (post #193) without even saying why, just jumping on the bandwaggon. I cannot take earlier D1 votes as terribly serious but Monty's I can because he does a lot of analysis and then plonks down the vote on me. Ty Monty and vote:Montmorency (Fable, get active, man). This post from Barto is alright. He just sees the things that look odd to him and spills it out into the thread. It looks natural. I think his jab at consensus #1 town read Zack is villagery because the wolves already know they won't be lynching him. Also calling someone odd for trying to defend you is probably >rand villager although I don't really have many examples to back it up.

I think Cuth posted a Cuth kind of analysis post from my limited experience with him, but usually its been done in the context of a flow of a bunch of other posts trying to explain/defend himself. IIRC.

I kind of agree, actually. On the other hand, prior to his posting more here this may be nothing more than a reproduction of his uneasily subdued play in the CFC game just now, where he was lynched D1. In which case I should defend Logic against being lynchbaited.

It's possible his playstyle may also have just shifted, since I've been in only a couple of games with him since 2017.

I find Monty's unrelated thoughts to be some type of content for content. I'm not a big fan. Other than that, It's been a nice game so far. I don't even feel like throwing my vote around and killing someone.

Actually, Empoof has been the loudest voice so far and I like him for that. I read some mashes on MU and he's usually loud trying to powertown or powerwolf. Finding the difference might be hard but this has felt like a honest effort so far.

Zack and Barto produced some activity and I definitely spotted them. The latter's definitely more lackluster of the two. Zack's late posts are solid and filled with micro reads. My only fear is that the read on him is so consensus. Barto's posts are trashier with more fluff, but I think that him going against the thread might be a good look.

We've also played together in a game on CFC, so

a)You're not that obvious of a read. You're top tier player. People could have waited a page or something. I think that your first really AI post is on page 7 or 8 (it's a block) and It makes you look fairly good. Post before that sometimes feel like you're just keeping yourself occupied posting in this thread.
b)people putting you in their town piles might be lazy wolves.

I mostly just thought his page 1 was kinda half-assed, and my quasi-secret tell on him may have applied. And there hasn't been much else suspicious to go on. :shrug:

I agree with you that his low activity level does not mean anything wrt his alignment

If you want to stress test anyone in the core it's gonna be me and there's basically zero chance that that'll be anything productive.

El Barto is so high on the list because I think his big post was just that townie and I am very disappointed that this was our #1 consensus scum for the entire day.


I read Monty again and I don't feel as justified defending him as I feel about Barto, but there are small tidbits that make me lean town on him.


I lost faith in my Cuth wolf read after his big re-entry post. I think it had some very good analysis and it would be quite impressive if he faked that as wolf. Egix feels like he just sorta exists. His posts seem good on tone and the points he is making have merit, but it doesn't feel like he has a lot of presence and I don't really have a good idea of what the game is like to him yet. It's a slight town lean and I wouldn't wanna kill them today, but don't feel comfortable placing them higher either.


Capage just feels... very different from the last game I played with him where we were both villagers. Like he isn't providing reads in order to expose the self evident truth of everyone's alignment here but rather just to look like he's contributing. There is little specificity behind his reads and the ones that do have an explanation aren't that hot either.

Like this read here is just frankly bull. You said you liked his posts, why would everyone else thinking the same make Zack suspicious? It makes no sense. It's like you are on that level where you aware that slapping a lazy town read on Zack might make you look suspicious so you want to add some sort of tinfoil to your read.

low key liking fable right now but I never lock in a read on him early. His wolf game is way too respectable for that. So he's light village for now

there's just a right amount of fucking around while making reads. We'll see what happens as time goes on.

Skimmed a bit, haven't reread in depth (hope to do that before EOD), but here's some of my takes so far:

Barto/Monty wagons are not particularly spicy but I guess not really surprising considering this playerset. Between the two of them I think Barto has a higher chance of flipping mafia due to his start and Monty seemingly being whimsical Monty-self instead of really trying to accomplish anything in particular in this game. This is more of a "I like Monty for town" read than "I like Barto for scum" read, and while I recognize that I haven't played with either in literal years, I think the old meta still holds.

Fable can be town just because he's Very Obviously being a brat with the way he's treating the thread/game right now, I don't mean that in a particularly bad way, it's just like he doesn't feel obligated to actually try and put on a performance, and that's generally indicative of Town!Fable from my experience. I don't think this is a result of the low activity of the game, either, it's still a quality playerlist and he'd know he'd have to do stuff to fit in as mafia despite the low volume so far. Furthermore, I see that he just recently dropped a random townread on me that's kind of against the grain, and if it's for the reasons I suspect it is, then it's 100% something that Fable would do as town.

dya gets a day pass, I expect she'll be more active on D2, as will I.

I actually like Logic's three posts. Want to see more, but not worried yet.

Zack is... tentatively in my town. This has nothing to do with how he's approached my slot. It's more related to the fact of how he's dug into things that have caught his attention and hammered away at them until he's satisfied and refused to let up on things. There's less :daisy:posting than I'd expect, but I don't really think that's alignment-indicative in this environment. My main goal here is to further reinforce his townreads so that the mafia don't kill him at night for fear that he'll be protected by a doc or jailkeeper or something and be more likely to move on me instead. :book2: (but seriously, I think he's probably ok here)

Those are the takes that have stood out most to me so far, I don't really have any mafia yet beyond potentially Barto. Will make another pass later on today. If I haven't talked about someone here, it's because their posts haven't really left much impression on me. Yes, that includes you, Empoof.
