Isn't the Euro-Asian border the Northern Cacuaus line?
If so, why are Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Euro Cup?
I was just curious.
Edit:
Specify, but I think you mean Turkey. Good point, but why us and Azerbaijan?
Edit:
What does everyone think about South Africa getting the 2010 world cup? Personally, I think it's a pretty poor idea to give the competition to a country which probably wouldn't even freakin' qualify normally.
I think it's an excellent idea. If it works as desired, it will kick start developmentQuote:

for awarding them this opportunity. Despite their problems, make no mistake, they
are the only country in Sub-Saharan Africa which could host a World Cup, and for
them to do so would boost football across the whole continent. On top of that,
South Africa isn't that freakin' bad in terms of football.
Also, if you wish to approach the issue from a more selfish perspective, hosting
the tournament in that country will mean less of a time difference for those of
us in Europe than if it were hosted in South America or [East] Asia. From my
own point of view, it gives me an excuse to go to Cape Town.
[Unless they kick start that aforementioned development and crackdown on
crime very soon you needn't worry in any case, because we'll be looking at
Argentina, Mexico, or Brazil.]
Basically what he said, one of the best things about these competitions is that they have the potential to greatly improve the infrastructure and living standards of the areas on which they are held, south africa (and africa in general) will greatly benefit from having the world cup
I definitely agree with Perestroika and Scurvy.
Ajax 3 - Austria Vienna 0
:2thumbsup: :beam: :beam: :beam:
It was also selected because at the time there was a strong rotation policy concept being used.
With the current FIFA president about to go into his last term he wanted to do something really significant.
Did I mention that I don't much care for West Ham? [I feel the need to do so
now.] One penalty denied, and surprise, surprise, yet more frustration. West
Ham will hopefully lose their next five or so to make up for this, yes.
[Although the football's more pleasing here, I have to say. Rangers have just
been taken out of the title race with a shock loss to the team that were
bottom in the league.]
This weekend live in Serbian public service from Premiership:
Saturday:
Manchester United – Portsmouth
Newcastle – Sheffield Utd
Sunday:
West Hamm – Arsenal
Totenhem – Chelsea
The problem is I have problems in receiving signal because one private television is in nearby frequency and destroy signal of public service. I hardly watched WH – Arsenal.
Manchester United – Portsmouth
For me, Man Utd is the greatest contender for winning championship. They play nice and they score. And it is nice to see that Nemanja Vidić scored his second goal for Man Utd and the first one in Old Trafford. :2thumbsup:
West Hamm – Arsenal
Clear penalty for Arsenal in 68th minute wasn’t whistled by referee.:furious3: He was near and nothing! Alexander Hleb was clearly fouled. Toure almost scored from 40 meters. Edward “Teddy” Sheringam still plays! Harewood scored for Hammers. General, Hammers were better. Not too much, but they deserved to win. Obviously Arsenal players are tired because the most of them are injured and kids can’t play continuously well in league, cup and CL without rest. And why Fabregas was so nervous/furious when game ended? Arsen Wenger and Hammer manager (forget name) almost fought each other… I am disappointed.
Edit:
Ajax has the next match in the Dutch Cup with ADO Den Haag and after that...
AFC AJAX AMSTERDAM - PSV EINDHOVEN
12th of November 2006 - Amsterdam ArenA
Just GAH?!Quote:

Arsenal - Liverpool
Sunday 17:00 CET live in Serbian public service
Again 4 games live from Premiership this weekend.
Arsenal - Liverpool 3 - 0
Game was average. Arsenal played average, but Liverpool played catastrophic again away. :laugh4: They again failed to score away (6 games and only one from penalty kick). From know I will bet always when Liverpool play away that they will lost...:laugh4:
What van Persie did in the 1st minute? He played with hand and then what I did?:wall: I don't like that kind of play... Cheating.
Referee almost lost his ...:laugh4: when Liverpool's player shoot ball into him.:laugh4:
First Arsenal goal was probably from offside but line referee didn't see it and Liverpool's player didn't protest.:beam: Action was awesome. And second goal was brilliant. Third - Liverpool's player slept and Gallas easily scored.:2thumbsup:
Player of the game: Toure! :balloon2:
Well, Iain Dowie is gone. And so is Charlton. No more Martin O'Neills waiting
in the wings for you. [Now, please excuse me while I spend time grumbling
quietly in a dark corner about Hearts.]

I watched game live. I am very disappointed with Arsenal. Except brilliant free kick by Henry...
Newcastle had one shot in goal and they scored! And Arsenal players again missed so many chances. Disaster! :furious3:
I think that problem of Arsenal is when teams come in Emirates and play bunker tactics that Arsenal player just don't know how to break it.:wall:
Edit:
Any hope of the title is gone, I would say, but at least there's a reasonable
chance of taking three points against the top teams, who are more inclined to
play an attacking game - as happened at Old Trafford. Or perhaps also any
teams [naturally including any opposition in the Champions League] who play
with more of a continental style.
Ah well, for once I can find myself looking to home for the good news, because
my local team just went second in the league, and I don't see Fergie anywhere.
Edit:
Agree. Title is gone and I posted it two or three weeks ago. 3rd place is peak.Quote:

And to be honest, I thought the title would still be a possibility, up until last
week, but we know that beating teams like Newcastle at home, especially when
they're having a bad league run, is essential.

I find it disappointing to have them making second and Celtic already having won
the title, as opposed to having a team like Hearts giving them a run to the end -
which is just about what everyone outside of Glasgow would have realistically
been hoping for this season.

Man U. Unjust penalty saved in the dying minutes. Get it right up ye, Fergie.
Aaaaar-seee-naaaal!
I thought they were going to end up with another ridiculous draw-after-15-shots-on-target, but they banged two in in the closing minutes. Walcott was excellent.
Just watched the highlights. Excellent stuff all round, and I think Walcott will be
important without Henry in Portugal. Harsh card, but that's been the story of his
tournament, hasn't it?
This is a masterpiece of shame. Bleugh!Quote:

Champions League
Tuesday
Arsenal – Hamburg 3 – 1
I watched match live in DSF (German satellite TV). They broadcast in conference all matches - when somewhere scored goal they switched.
Arsenal again played beautiful. But almost draw. Eboue is player of game as he did what Arsenal forwards could. I don’t like how van Persie played. He scored but, better to play from start Adebayor. Again Arsenal almost didn’t break bunker tactics. :wall: This is the second time in the new season Arsenal won at home after guest scored first (in Premiership they didn’t it).
Real Madrid – Olympique Lyon 2 - 2
I watched this match parallel with Arsenal. Private TV station in Serbia B92 broadcast it live.
Everything changes except Madrid. They have Kapelo as trainer and Canavaro in defense but their defense is pathetic. Lyon did what they wanted. John Carew is player of game. What he did Madrid’s defense…
I almost got heart attack in last minutes when van Nistelrooy simulated penalty.:furious3: And luckily, Cupet saved shot from van Nistelrooy. In the same minute I switched to DSF and Eboue scored for Arsenal. What a relief…
Celtic Glasgow – Manchester United 1 – 0
This match was live in HRT2 (Croatian public service) but I only switched several times to see score.
Wednesday
Werder Bremen – Chelsea 1 – 0
I watched it live in private TV station in Serbia B92.
First time in the new season Chelsea didn’t score! And I don’t think they allowed Bremen to win because Bremen will have two more points than Barcelona. In London Chelsea had much lucky when Bremen missed several great chances (Klose) and Barcelona played draw in Bremen but they scored in last minutes of match and whole game Werder was better team.
Chelsea is not in form like previous two seasons (which is good news).:balloon2: It is obvious.
Inter – Sporting 1 – 0
I watched this match parallel in HRT2 (Croatian public service).
And that was very good match! Both teams attacked whole match. Player of game Dejan Stankovic and when Croatian commentator said that… :2thumbsup: Crespo and Stankovic were unsolved problems for Sporting defense. What in the end missed Sporting players?!
[Ali imenuješ Arsenalovo moštvo Arsenal London? Ne zdi se tako. Torej preden
začneš, je prav tako nesmiselno, da imenuješ Celtic kot Celtic Glasgow ali
Glasgow Celtic. Ime ekipe ni ne eno ne drugo.]
The Dons just cemented second place here, with games against the big three
coming altogether from next week on. Four points from those and I'll start thinking
Champions League for next season. Now who would've thought that? :beam:
And Arsenal are behind to bent Bolton again. Oh dear.
YES!!!....get in......Arsenal well and truly thrashed again at fortress Reebok. :whip:
Back into 3rd position (again) :2thumbsup:
I knew Anelka was going to finally play well this game. Argh.
Why can't we score?!
Henry? :inquisitive:Quote:

Certainly if you examine our shots on target to goals ratio, something isn't right.
My opinion is that it's 'the same club too long syndrome'. He needs a new challenge. I like Henry, a good player and a nice guy.
We'll give you a million or so....after all Big Sam is renowned for bucking up 'passed it' players.
:smash:
I think he's just tired. He played a huge number of matches last season, what with the world cup and everything, and he could probably use a rest. But I don't see that happening.
He'll end up more crocked than is is now. Mind you Mr. 'Magoo' Wenger is getting desperate......12 pints adrift.
:beam:
oops .... a Freudian slip :laugh4:Quote:

I am truly lucky. So are all football fans alive by modern day.
Kids are out of form! :wall: They don't know how to break bunker tactics. To many injured players. Stupid new stadium. No money. Arsenal is in debts...Quote:

Chelsea - Arsenal 1 - 1
Match was good only in last 20 minutes when Roben and Wright-Phillips entered in. Lehman wasn't good and same for Senderos.
Arsenal had huge lucky. What did Drogba, Essien and Lampard miss? Like Arsenal last months!:laugh4:
Players of match: Essien and Gilberto Silva
Lampard's been useless since the summer though. Get him inQuote:

- ha, ha, ha. A mistake in my opinion, but perhaps the 'new manager boost' that
most clubs tend to get might just kick them into safety.
The drama down there could, of course, never compare to the epic saga that's
been played out in the capital up here over the last couple of seasons. And the
heart has just been cut out of Hearts, as it were. Goodbye Heart of Midlothian,
