Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Come on guys, we do this every game, it seems. Woadsy, Beefy, and/or Shlin make some kind of mistake, or act 'scummily' and we end up lynching either an innocent towny or a pro-town role. Haven't we learned our lesson yet? FOS: Roadkill, for that last post.
Additionally, lynch Brave_Sir_Robin! Been lurking for a while, after trying to get someone lynched on totally absurd grounds.
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
sweet.. Can i be in hall of fame or something? for getting lynched 5 games in a row.
Woad & Fangs: Yea i might be lousy. But least im trying hard.. Im just observing how people are reacting to my lousy reason. Its creating discussion thats cool and I dont care if im dead as long as i get to take the mafias down with me.
Roadkill: I wouldnt mind living for another turn or two. But i suppose your not gonna change your mind.
EDIT: Let Sir Robin speak first.. Then ill decide

How have I been lurking for "a while"? This is round 2. Also, who am I trying to get lynched? I called beefy a mafioso (jokingly) after he made a post saying for no one to get paranoid over what he said. As far as I can tell, the only one trying to get someone lynched for no reason is you :inquisitive: .
Well, looks like Beefy is getting lynched over nothing again. I really don't think he's guilty. He seems to be trying to give some opinions, and everyone is calling that suspicious.

Yes and no. This is only round two, I hope your not expecting any insanly detailed reasonings, as we almost have zero evidence of anyone being mafia right now. You are also taking great offense in Caius starting discussion on you, scummy?
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Oh right.. Lets say if i am.. First ill get my self killed by getting attention. Then Shlin will get killed anyway next round or so. Very clever.
Then I would say this.. Which makes you think im innocent. Reverse phycology is extremely useful in mafia. Then ill just name two random players name. Those two get killed. People will go mafia is a noob. Thats the most obvious framing ever. then i might survive till the end killing every single one of you. Sounds like a plan.
If I am a mafia I will never tell you this. But then again I might be using reverse phycology. Hmm..So yea pretty much you guys only got three options
1. Lynch me just incase
2. Make a deal with me. Ill be quiet so let me live
3. Trust me im innocent
1 is the best. You got lots of people left anyway. Getting one lynch wrong wouldnt hurt much. 2 sounds good too. I got a feeling that im getting really annoying. I gotta go study anyway. 3 is a bit of gamble. But after accidently lynching me 5 games in a row, you could start trusting me a bit. Im only trying to help the town. Personally all the option is good. 1 and 2 makes my life easier. 3 makes me feel good. So i dont mind any options. Take your pick
EDITED
I prefer option 2. so i got something to do when i dont wanna study or when the test is over (Tuesday Australian time)
Lets talk more. We only got like 5 active players. If all of us gets killed we are doomed pretty much

Apparently you missed my earlier post? It was quite obvious that CA wasn't seriously asking Martok to prove his innocence, as CA is quite well aware that is impossible in the first round. And yet you turned in a vote against him over it?

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
I didn't realize he was joking. To me, his post sounded quite serious. I voted for him because of that. Besides, in the first round theres no evidence to go on anyway. I thought that was as good a reason as any.

Only time I was playing strange/ normal which was "walking dinner" that time i was playing mafia. Every single other time i follow the exact same pattern.. Hmm i hope so too.. Its not very fun for me getting lynched in 3 games simultaneously just because i wanted to catch the mafia.. :sweatdrop:
If I am innocent (I am too) im pretty sure at least one of the mafia is trying to be neutral on this case. Other mafia is rather quiet and he/she is going to stay quiet.

Mafia Professional? You mean you can get paid for doing this? :laugh4:
I'm really mostly a good endgame or small game player, I'm afraid. THis is my largest ever game. Also, in the rules I use days can go on for up to a fortnight before a lynch which is way beter for analysis.

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
I don't believe that Beefy is who we are looking for. He always is eager to lynch and always does something which makes him look like a suspect, despite him actually being totally innocent. If you want to lynch him, do so when there is nothing else to go on - right now we have several good pieces of evidence upon shlin who is acting rather peculiarly.

we only got like 10 active players.. Rest are just slacking off.. Which is good. I suppose we have better chance of taking down the active players but for the sake of game play kill the lurkers which might get the rest motivated.

Slacking off is good, as it gives you a better chance to take down the active players? ??
Vote: Beefy until you can explain that one :grin2:

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Its exam week, playing mafia is the slacking off  .
Anyway, I think the Mafia are probably just going to be sitting back. Theres only two of them and they have 2 kills per night which is pretty powerful. Odds are we are just going to be killing off innocent townies, esspecialy if we vote for active ones.
The way I see it. We should vote for those who are non-active. Why you ask? Because odds are the mafia are being innactive now if anything. If we vote off all the people ACTUALY disscussing things than we are just killing off people who will actually do well at helping the cause.
Having read this however, (or noticing the trend) some mafia may try to become active (probably not straight away, but just enough away from this comment for people to not pick up on them being active). However the plus side of this is, if they are active theres a far better chance of them slipping up and of us actualy catching them.
For that reason, I suggest we don't hammer in on small mistakes by people who are active, and for now vote for those who are innactive. :logic:
So... on that note, I'm going to:
Vote: gkhaan
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
I proposed this many pages before. So what tells me that you for instance aren't a Mafia that wants to get inactive townies lynched? Also, its not exam week for everyone, depending on age and location.
-
Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Ah, but it is for me, beefy, Killfrenzy, twilightblade and pevergreen  .
And surely a mafia member would want the ACTIVE players lynchaed more than the innactive ones, seeing as its the active ones who will actualy catch them...
And I'm sorry if I didn't see you mentioning this before, as I said been a bit busy, but its good we're on the same page. By going for innactive players we increase our chance of bagging a mafia or just force them into the public and give them more oppourtunities to slip up.

AW: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Being a noob in this game, I don´t know if I make too much sense but why don´t we have a look at the persons who were murdered last night?
Among them we find Sigurd and pevergreen.
Looking further at these players I found it interesting that both of them have voted to lynch Husar. (Posting #72, #88). Although pever later changed his mind, it appears to me that both might have caught the attention of a mafiosi ...
Vote: Husar

It could also be an attempt to frame Husar though on the other hand.

I always play it like this, read the other games. Tho I was a little less in the "oh lynch that guy" mode when I was mafia in Midgard Saga, since it got me killed in an earlier mini game.

This is the first game I've played, so going back into history won't tell me anything bro... lol

Re: The Secret Formula - IN PLAY
Day 2 : Conclusion - a bad mood.
"Sir! Sir!"
"What?"
"We have reached a decision, sir!"
"You did?" Andres said. He was clearly in a very bad mood that day.
The union man felt uncomfortable...
"Yes sir. We are convinced that Killfr3nzy is the other mafioso."
"You think so? I didn't hear KF all day. How can he have done something wrong?" Andres said, a bit surprised.
"Eh, democracy never fails, sir."
"It doesn't? Oh well, bring him to me."
"The townies threw the tied up Killfr3nzy on the floor, next to the captain."
Andres looked at the frightened KF. "Any last words."
"Killfr3nzy looked at Andres in agony. I... It... Ehrr... Please, have mercy! Oh please! I'm innocent! Don't kill me, please...!"
"Ok, ok, Andres said, I won't kill you."
Killfr3nzy was pleasantly surprised. "Th... Th... Thank you sir!"
"Ha! I was just kidding!"
"Noooo, no Sir, please!" Killfr3nzy started to cry...
"You don't appreciate a good joke? No sense of humour? Bah! Anyway, it's time to test my new whip. It's a brand new model, it gives the victim electrical shocks when it hits the body. Seems like fun. And it came with a free crate of Ciney Blond."
Andres picked up Killfr3nzy and dragged him into the bunker. After 30 minutes of screaming, Andres came outside. Well, it was short, but hell, this was great fun!"
The mercenaries looked troubled.
Tally:
