someone else check then? i can't right now but i could later tonight if no one can
Lets be clear about this, because you didn't actually answer: did you check the traits or not when you saw it was summer? Because that is the only reliable way to check what season it actually is. The loading screen, for example, will tell you it's summer regardless if it's spring, summer or autumn.
I find it quite improbable that it's summer simply because I know to 100% that when I saved and uploaded my changes in the summer 261 BCE, I had marched as far as Legio I possibly could, stopping at the port of Segestica. I know this so well because I for one thing checked the traits and they said it was summer, and after saving I ended the turn to see if I could get there without force marching, which was a negative. I actually tried ending it twice, and after the first it became autumn, and after the second it become winter.
So if it is summer 261 BCE, someone must've used a cheat to give me extra movement points. I didn't do it, and I have a hard time seeing why anyone else here would, either. If no one did that, I either shouldn't have started at Segestica's port this turn, or I shouldn't have had any movement points left.
Edit: I, unfortunately, can't check it now either.
It's not really a problem, just its still the same turn, because my rams still havent been built, yet this time your besieging Segestica instead of still being at the port. But it's better like this; the plan was every legion would besiege its target at the same time. So no harm done really
How's Legio III faring in this? Since I can't move it I'd rather not d/l and load up 1.1 just to look. Has anyone heard from Potocello since his last post?
everything seemed fine to me. im not clear what exactly wasn't right?
Damn, I don't have enough time to fight the battle before school . I'll have to do it sometime around 4ish
O Dux, if you don't feel so well just have a lie down, I'll fight the battle for you :laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4:
it seems there is a problem with the seasons again. when I took it a few turns ago (263ish) the season displayed was "summer 14 ad", but it went back to normal once I activated the script. sometimes when there are problems with the 4TPY ingame, I think we should just activate the script. unless the script is really messed up.
"Summer 14 AD" sounds like something the loading screen would say. If that's where you got the information from, then I don't know what to say. I mean, I've already told you you can't rely on it to show you the actual date twice...
Edit: Okay, I noticed now that I mixed you up with Bean, gah, sorry 'bout that. I've still said it here twice, though. :laugh4:
No, there's no problem with the 4 tpy script. It works just great.
That 14AD thing happens every so often when you activate the script, but you just need to activate it again and it will be fine.
@SwissBarbar, you'll be allegable to become a Legatus after this battle and your Tribunus Plebis term is over. Then you'll ave your own army. However if I can't fight it tonight I'll let you know and you can fight it then.
actually I think it's 'may', not have; our ingame budget is rather tight now. :wall:
anyway I'mratherVERY busy these few days (three tests tomorrow+two tests just today wtf!) so I can't take the save this turn (darn. I shouldn't have procrastinated), but I think there's probably nothing for me to do.
after that I only have two more tests left on separate days! huzzah!
@ navarro: I suppose since I can't take the save today, just move the fleet to the docks. It's in my SOT. thanks
Your my second in command, your always first in line to fight it if I can't
so i know a lot of people are going to become Tribunii at these upcoming battles but who is going to get the next legion? that is, if we can afford one.
well its up to the senate to decide if there will even be a legion. Ill pick the leader and its in order of who became a legate first. If you dont get the command. I recommend you just stay with your respective legio and serve with them .
yah that's what i figured. i recommended that Tiberius stay with the Legio III :P
do we still have legatii without legions? sorry if that's an ignorant question.
Ya Il_Duce and YouHaveReceived . But as they are very inactive they will be killed off if they do not come around by the end of this year.
Warluster and desert to. Anyone seen them around???
and on that note id ask that you PM any good friends, see if we can get some new people thanks!
I thought Desert had quit? But I don't know...
And damn, it'll have to wait till I get home. Luckily I come home earlier on a Friday (go me, I picked good choices :2thumbsup:), so it'll be around noon GMT time. (I realised this says time twice, but bugger it :beam:)
Right, good win and nice battle (+report). Our merchant ships were completely sunk. And I have a Man of Great Potential offer, and guess what. He's an Aemilii :beam:. So I'll accept him. I can do that right?
Oh, and since anyones allowed to do events, can we just make one happen? Or do we have to discuss it first? Because it's much more shocking and realistic if nobody knows about it. I do have one in mind anyway.
well, I might also be thinking of an event under certain obvious/inevitable conditions.
and I also think if we had went for Illyria before Massilia, we could make the Massilian alliance an event, where the general who conquers Massilia is made a 'regent' (near-provincial-governor-hood) of the city.
as for making events, the rules say that "once every 10 turns, navarro951, or anyone he appoints, may create an in-game event" or something like that
I think we're on the same wavelength...I'll PM you. But am I allowed to accept this Aemilii guy?
AFAIK, no, perhaps that rule could be changed. A pity we have nobody who could propose unlimited edicts/CAs.
If it could, I would think it should say "No 'Man of Great Potential' offers at the start of the year will be accepted, unless the benefactor's player is the person who has the save at the start of the turn"
well that was discussed a few pages ago and was concluded with myself saying that the guy died when I tried accepting the MoGP to see what happens.
Oh yeah good point...well we need Navarro to clarify really, so I'll accept him for now so the save can reopen, then if I cant do it we can always kill him off.
never accept. We dont have the players to play him. Hell be another aimless avatar ill have to store somewhere. Not to mention roman RBGs and Family Members dont seem to be killed off when you use auto_win, they have to lose TWICE. so ya.
But...but...he's an Aemilii...cant he be my backup avatar :sweatdrop:
nope, what I-K did was that he transported the RGB to be killed to a battle in somewhere that he can't retreat to friendly territory (e.g. a stack of rebels in the steppes); not a stack of rebels in the middle of our territory. but because of Roman internal names, I guess we can't do anything much to move_character them; unless we send a whole stack of them on a pilgrimage to be ritually killed.
