To the site admin and mods: Ave Imperator! *salutes* :D
Having gotten that out of the way... I've been a fan of the Total War series ever since I got my first copy of Medieval. Since then I've also picked up the Viking Invasion expansion, as well as RTW and BI (the last two of which I just recently installed). Anyway, being a relative newbie to RTW, I thought it best to browse the web for some strats (as well as the occasional AAR / fanfic--I really enjoy reading those) and came across this site, which I must say is most impressive :)
Ave!
Welcome all.
Let us not catch you spamming this thread, or you'll be stuck in this corner of the Org forever...Muhahahaa

Pretty harsh Guidelines you have here, no spamming, no discrimination, I mean what can I do ... apart from continuing spamming this thread ~D
Hello all...
I'm still playing my first campaign - Byzantines, early, easy. It's going very well ~D
 Welcome to the org, brighterhell, and plenty of luck in your campaign! ;) (with or without VI?)
^Oh yeah, that's MTW.
Welcome ciprianrusu, brighterhell, and Barbarian_King as well (not that you're really new!). ~
Unfortunately there isn't a guide for the XL Mod, at least not that I'm aware of. It maybe wouldn't be a bad idea to write one up, however.Quote:

Wassup fellow Generals!!! LONG LIVE ALEXANDER:2thumbsup:
Hello all. On the advice of a co-worker, I've decided to join in the fun and games about the Total War series because I love it to bits, especially MTW. I've always been more of strategy player rather than a twitch-gamer. Always had a fondness for Diplomacy, Axis & Allies etc.
I love playing out the biggest battles I can make in RTW on my Nvidia 7950GX2 equipped system. It's outrageously good looking and fun to see who wins (though sadly Rome is not as good as MTW for realism IMHO).
I love Total war games.
I started playing MTW a few years back, it was just so addictive.
I bought Rome on the release date and was amazed by the visuals and dissapointed by the AI.
Recently I bought the Total war: era. I dont have shogun and any of the expansion packs, so I guess it's a good buy for me.
I played a bit of shogun the other day, it's just as good as MTW, it made me realize how stupid the AI really is in RTW. In shogun, in the first 10 min of playing, my spy was assassinated, in RTW I don't remember any of my agents ever get assassinated. I suppose for RTW the AI on the strategy map is harder to implement since it's not divided into discrete provinces like in MTW or Shogun, I hope they make it better in MTW2.
question:-can i install patch 1.3...patch 1.5...and after that S.P.Q.R 6.1 if i have a RTW patched 1.1???....because i tried..and it dont works...thanks
sorry...i have RTW 1.0 version......not 1.1....
