Bloody hell! Now a 3 match unbeaten run! :dizzy2:
Oh! and kudos to rdeče.jabolko
My two teams? I'm adopting sides all over the shop, it would seem.
C. Zvezda are never my team, and they got humped, yes. Everything caved in
late on, with all the goals coming in the last 15 minutes. For a moment I
thought they were done by PAOK Thessaloniki which would've been all the
more painful for our missing Delije Serb, as PAOK happen to be cosy pals with
Partizan... but it was only Aris Thessaloniki; no need for tears.
We should've had the Russians in the first half. Again, wee Sone Aluko was a
different class, but they completely nullified him in the second half. Atmosphere
seemed about as good as any game against the buns, and really all the better
considering most of the game was played in a blizzard.
Anyway, Aberdeen are as good as out. Needed a win because next is the trip
to Atlético, then Copenhagen at home. Everton had a good last 10 minutes, by
the looks of it, so they're as good as through. And let's not forget Les Girondins,
who won thanks to a penalty in the dying minutes in Vienna.
Uefa Cup Results:
Not the best night for home sides.
And what do you think of Megson now, IA? [He was in the Norwich side that beat
Bayern, wasn't he? Should've minced them tonight, to be honest.] ~;)
Sorry rdece I just remembered you supporting Crvena Zvesda over Rangers when they met. I wouldn't say its completely over for Aberdeen just yet. They have a slim chance if they beat Copehagen at home, considering 3/5 go through. If Panathanaikos and Athletico Madrid go through, then Aberdeen could just nip by Lokomotiv if Loko lose to Panathanaikos and are held to even a draw by Copenhagen. Unlikely, but who knows?
EDIT: Also, why did CV change their name? Red Star was so much better.
Yes, no need for apologies, I did support them against Rangers.Quote:

I thought Red Star must have had an official name change, considering they've always appeared as Red Star before over here in Scotland, but now its Crvena Zvesda. Also Dougie Donnelly called them Crvena Zvesda and then said that they're still Red Star to us.
I've heard Prso (can't get the little accent thing over the 's') pronouned in quite a few ways. There's the obious one and most common, 'Pir-so', but I've also heard 'Pree-so', 'Pree-zo', 'Preecho', and even 'Peugeot' like the make of car. Papac is always pronounced 'Papatch' on Scotsport.
Could you clarify what it actually is?
[It must be your lucky day Rhyfelwyr, because I've quite disturbingly taken far
too much time to explain it for you elsewhere.]
:book2:
In other football matters, Beckham has been recalled for England's friendly against
Austria next Friday, as well as the Croatia match - and it seems like he's back
in on the basis of a game played against Hollywood United. i.e. a kick-about.
Austria are fairly dire, so they should be winning that comfortably. And it
should probably be said, if Macedonia take Croatia at home there's still a
chance regardless of the Israel game. Oh, Rooney is out as well, so no
giving away ridiculous cards.
Thanks for the PM rdece.
Watching the Fiorentina game right now. Sounds like the trouble in Italian football is really boiling over. A Lazio fan shot by a policeman who was apparently protecting the Lazio crowd from a bigger Juventus mob. And now the AC v Atalanta game called off after 6 minutes for crowd trouble...:sweatdrop:
Dissapointed. Feyenoord - Ajax finished 2-2.
yeah that´s him..Quote:

Now, if you want real diving maybe this site can help you and a few other folks around here, obsessed about diving:

I just came across in a footy forum.
Shock, horror, Glaswegians get drunk! :drama3: :laugh4:Quote:
PLEASE, DON'T EVER COME BACK AGAIN
Dear Rangers supporters- never come back to Barcelona again. And not because your players themselves aren't a legitimate team. No, it's not because of that- the Nou Camp frequently hosts teams who are lazy, boring, who only defend, who run and kick their opponents, and who shouldn't be in elite competition. On top of this, Rangers merely defend, run at the opposition and play dirty. Their defenders are butchers, their midfielders, heavy-footed; and their strikers just stand there like the furniture.
But even apart from the footballing aspect, the best thing would be for Rangers never to return to Barcelona, because every time they do, they make a mess of the place. 35 years ago, you (the Rangers supporters) destroyed the seats at the Nou Camp. This time we have enjoyed no less than 48 hours of brawls, provocation, rackets, fights and common drunk women throughout the whole city, which you have fouled however you pleased.
Stay at home and vomit in your own living-room, urinate in your sitting-room corners, fight with your neighbours, the Celtic supporters (who deserve a prize just for putting up with you) and foul the streets of Glasgow instead. Don't come back here again, because it is not a laughing matter. And, by extension, don't play in the Champions' League either. You are not at that level neither in a sporting nor human sense.
There are noisy groups of supporters who, although they drink vast amounts of beer, make friends at the same time. But you? Not you, because everywhere you go, you turn into a rubbish tip. You are undesirables. And so are those who fraudulently sell, or "rent out" their tickets. These people screw Barca over, because they trade their season tickets illegally. And in doing this they cause massive annoyance for other members of the club. A true Barcelona fan would not re-sell their ticket for the match. If you are not going to the match, give it to a family member, or you could even use the 'Seient Lliure' service (an automated ticket service used by some Spanish clubs including Barcelona).
From now on, the responsibility lies with UEFA and the club itself to ensure who the ticket is sold to. The best thing for all of us would be that you as a supporter, in a moment of lucidity, decide not to travel if you do not have tickets. As that is never going to happen, those who sell the tickets illegally must be brought to justice. But the best thing would be if we never had to play Rangers again.

Edit:
What did they expect? There was trouble when Rangers went to Spain last
season.
Regarding their opinions on the football matters, [not to mention our status
as members of the human race...] well, they should come to Glasgow or any
Scottish city this Saturday, and we'd see how they fare with that attitude.

 I can live with this :laugh4:
But i don't agree with what is said about the fans!
I'll not even try to argue that Rangers fans are perfectly behaved when travelling abroad, but I'd hardly say the Celtic fans are saints compared to us. They deserve a prize for putting up with us!:laugh4:
And the comments on our football are ridiculous. I don't think the team he described would beat Lyon 3-0 away and sit on seven points after four games in a group containing the French and German champions.
Any predictions for the Scotland game tomorrow? Watching the news tonight I suddenly realised all the hysteria surrounding this game. I predict either a 0-0 draw, or a 1-0 victory for Scotland.
You only just realised?
If we score first, I think it will end 1-1. If they open the
scoring, 2-0 or worse.
Well I knew the importance of the game to Scottish football and the fans were on a bit of a high with recent results, but even schools were having non-uniform days just so the pupils could wear their Scotland tops.
Even if we draw its not the end of the world, we would still go through ahead of France if they lose away to Ukraine.
It's so beautiful to see a Dons and Huns lovefest! :shakehands: Aww....bless. ~:pat: :tomato2: :tomato:
:egypt:
Indeed... [who knows, before the day is out I may even hug a Hun, and if Barry
Ferguson scores the winner, my footballing world will cave in.]
The situation we find ourselves in is nothing short of absurd, and I find myself
wondering why I have to care about this sport. I could almost believe we're
going to the bloody Somme. But I'll be entrenched in the pub from about half
three, wearing a Scotland shirt, yes. [Won it in said pub when we beat France
the first time. Too tight to actually buy one, course.]
Aye you've summat in common with the lot that live around me. Whitworth spanners and fifty pence pieces spring to mind. :laugh4:Quote:
Too tight to actually buy one, course.
May I wish you good luck with your task against the Azzurri. :2thumbsup:
I relish the upcoming match called Romania - Bulgaria. :beam:
We're already qualified, and the only thing I could say is the opposite of what Mr. Stoicikov said to us "Mamalicki, go home!"
Our turn to say: "Castravecki, stay home!"
Ah, what a joy.
Well, I'm running late to say the least. Will be lucky to get a seat anywhere.
Gentlemen, the moment has almost arrived. Come five o'clock, be sure to raise
your glass and bottle, and be sure it is filled with Stella, [or Grolsch if you can't
stand it; mineral water if your name is Andres] for today we drink to victory.
Victory not only for Scotland, but for France, the continent of Europe, and
maybe just that most non-European of European nations - aye, even to Dana
International and co.
We march on, march on to victory! And if not, well, let those masters of the
corrupt know they've had a game, that's all anyone can ask.
To the pub! To the fight, to the victory, and onward!
~
Aye! Let us all drink to bask in the glory of the glorious sport called football! ~
The jocks are 1- nil down already! Knowing Italy they will sit back now and hit on the counter. :shame:
Och, michty me. 0-1 down. Go Scots!
Even though a loss by Scotland guarantees France a place in the EC I desperately want Scotland to win. This will see Italy out, and France trough if we beat the Ukraine.
So go Scotland! (Who am I kidding, we all knew what would happen tonight...)
Sitting listening to it on the radio right now. Even a draw would do, we would still go through then if France lose away to the Ukraine - maybe a 1/3 chance? At least we've proved threatening, Italy have already made a clearance off the line and one with a hand apparently.
someone please tell me how it was a free kick. hutton was mauled and the
Italians are given the kick. shower of *****, impossible for them to stay on
their feet.
there was no way that was a free kick. how?
our goal was offside, and they had a good goal disallowed. I accept that, but I
can't see how that was a free kick. just can't.
there were a lot of angry, upset people here. I wouldn't want to be an Italian
in Glasgow. win fairly and right, it's ok. but they didn't play well after 5 minutes
and they were diving and falling over every chance they had.
I know it's a revelation that Italians win like this, but just explain to me why
that was a free kick.
if he hadn't missed that open goal. if.
and no louis, it was possible. that only makes it worse.
Israel have just gone 2-1 up. lucky, lucky boys. go and do the Croats on
Wednesday, eh ~:)
