Welcome zyxophoj
Have you tried any of the newer titles yet?
I am a bit shy of hair pins my self.
I am usually trying to find ways of killing my own heirs!

Welcome to the Org, zyxophoj! ~
I agree that geishas are indeed overpowered in STW. I do usually train a few of them, but only as a defensive deterrent against enemy geishas. I never use them as "offensive" assassins anymore; they're just too easy.
welcome xyxophoj, another candidate for some nice shogun AAR's? :clown:
Welcome zyxophoj ~

Welcome thanosz ~
Hello, I'm RWT. I got M2TW about 6 months ago, and have fallen in love with it... I suppose I'll find people with similar interests here.
Welcome RWT ~
You sure will in the M2:TW section.
Welcome to the Guild thanosz and RWT, nice to have you with us. :2thumbsup:
Welcome to the Org, RWT. ~

Welcome to the Org RWT!~
And Welcome to all other new members..Enjoy your stay
Hi new members
Familyguy1. Old Member over at TWC. Been playing Total War since Shogun. I have pretty good experience with historical things, just ask me if needed.
So. The Guild like a branch off of TWC or is TWC a branch off of The Guild. I like this, since It sounds so secretive :book::study::hide::eeeek::creep:( Love these smiles :D
Greeting FamilyGuy! I may welcome you on behalf of myself to the guild. :beam:
That's great, then you might be interested in the Monastery, also visit the Chapter House for the interactive histories.
A more experienced member will explain you that.Quote:

Great user name, enjoy your stay :2thumbsup: And The guild is probably a branch off of the TWC, as it has less members, but in my opinion its better that way, and all members are quite friendly (except me of course :clown: )
also RWT joined my mafia game over at the TWC, if given access maybe he would play it here? A new player perhaps? :clown:
Welcome to the Org, Familyguy1. Good to see you here. ~
The Org/Guild is one of the oldest -- if not *the* oldest -- unofficial Total War website still operating. It's been around since at least 1999 (possibly even 1998? I forget now). Suffice it to say, we've been around a lot longer than TWC has. ~;)
hello from the noob! i guess my biggest questions are: what are the fundamental differences between the guild and TWC, and why is there no posts in the Rome forum? (perhaps i clicked something wrong?)
Welcome, Legio_Italica! ~
Hmm. Not sure how to answer that one. Perhaps another more eloquent member such Monk or Omanes can summarize better than I.
Are you looking for the Colosseum?
Welcome Legio_Italica ~
There really is no fundamental difference between what TWC and the Guild are about - both aim to nurture high quality discussion relating to TW games overall. The real difference, however, is how they are run. TWC is more of a democracy, the .Org is more of a, well, dictatorship. I don't know quite how it works, but I understand that members have an awful lot of input in how things are run and have "constitutional rights" and stuff like that.
Although the decisions at the .Org always go through TosaInu, the senior admin, members do have a little bit of input and are allowed to make comments - it doesn't have to be listened to though.
Both, IMO, work OK - if you want the truth, I do actually like the sound of the TWC system more than the .Org's, but from what I understand it could be a little over the top sometimes. Probably a little more public input into .Org choices wouldn't really go amiss - indeed, I often find the decisions at the top a little unconventional/untidy, but I'm digressing.
Moving on, welcome aboard Familyguy1 ~
Neither TWC nor the .Org are related. The .Org came first (it was April 1999 I believe) and then was followed by TWC in 2003.
