peever may be a high-profile player but that's no reason to lynch him first night... He's a valuable player I say we should keep him around a little longer :)
Unvote: God Emperor; Vote: Raskolnikov
to even the vote
FOS: Winston calling someone scummy and then not voting them is no reason to bring the vote closer to lynching peever...
Ras and I go way back, and I'm not about to stand back while he gets lynched just for being new around these parts.
As for pever, he was getting votes and took an easy opportunity to call someone else scum, but didn't back up his words with a vote.
That's not much of a reason, but it's better than the case against Ras.

And would that be enough?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
No, Grandmaster is the top Rank.
Also, I am the Grandmaster. I'm special like that.
Nomi Sunrider gathered everyone together, next to one of the unused hangar bays. Through the airlock, it opened up into a huge contained space, where larger shuttles would dock. In that chamber, the only thing separating the pressurized environment from the vacuum of space was a vast force field, and the massive hangar bay doors. Nomi entered her security password, and the hangar bay doors began to open.
"Have we reached a verdict?" Nomi asked.
The Jedi took a vote, and it turned out that they were undecided, having narrowed it down to two potential candidates. Neither candidate managed to garner very many votes, either. Many Jedi abstained from voting altogether, seemingly unconvinced that this path was the correct way to solve the mystery of the Sith.
"No we have not, Grandmaster." said the ranking Jedi Master.
"Who are the leading candidates?" Nomi said.
"Mas Amdu Kof, and Jacin Sky, your grace."
"Very well. Let the accused have a chance to defend themselves." Nomi said, and motioned for the two suspects to plead their case.
Jacin Sky: "This Reptilian scoundrel is no true Jedi. He seems to fear death. Fear leads to anger, and he has shown himself to be very angry with this entire proceeding!"
Mas Amdu Kof: (puffing his cheeks) "This is an outrage! The Hyoo-mon is provoking me! The only reason why he's even accusing me is because a bunch of others accused him. It is not I, Grandmaster, who fears death, but him! I am ready to give my life for the Jedi Order." (Mas Amdu snaked his tongue out at Jacin Sky, and flicked it up and down)
Nomi Sunrider shook her head. "Is this any way for Jedi to behave? Control yourselves, gentlemen. How do we resolve this situation? I wanted a clear decision, and I'd rather not leave the life of a Jedi up to a matter of chance."
Mas Amdu Kof: "I've been preparing for this moment since I began growing this beard. Allow me to settle this with a lightsaber, Grandmaster Nomi. May the better Jedi prevail." (puffing his cheeks)
Jacin Sky: "Grandmaster, I do not agree with this course of action. This is barbarism, pure and simple."
Nomi Sunrider nodded. "I do not like resolving things this way, Master Sky. That is why I asked for a clear plurality, so that we could perform this necessary act in the most civil and non-violent way possible. Instead, you have forced my hand, and because I do not gamble with the lives of fellow Jedi, this matter can only be resolved in a contest of skill with the lightsaber and knowledge of the Force. May the Force be with you, Master Sky."
Nomi turned and addressed Kof. "I will grant your request, Master Kof. You may borrow my lightsaber for this contest; may the Force be with you as well. Here are the ground rules: You must both enter the hangar bay from opposite ends, taking with you only your lightsabers and your knowledge of the Force. You will not tear this ship apart in your duel, focus only on each other. When your opponent yields, I encourage you to follow the Jedi Code and spare his life. However, if you feel your opponent will stop at nothing to kill you, you may defend your life with necessary action. You will not prolong his suffering, but make a clean cut which brings instant and painless death. Is that fully understood, gentlemen?"
Both combatants nodded grimly. Nomi handed Mas Amdu Kof her green Lightsaber. Jacin Sky flew down the corridor to the opposite end of the hangar bay, to approach from that end.
Jacin Sky entered from the port side of the hangar bay, and Mas Amdu Kof entered from the starboard side. The hum of the force field several hundred feet away, and the roar of the life support systems overhead were the only sounds to be heard. Mas Amdu Kof bowed respectfully to Jacin Sky, and then ignited Nomi Sunrider's green lightsaber, and curled up into a meditative stance, focusing mind and body for battle.
Jacin Sky stood in a standard Form III defensive pose, saber above his head, and waited for the reptilian creature to get on with it. Without warning, the snake-like creature uncoiled, and rushed in a zig-zag pattern across the empty hangar bay with blinding speed. Jacin had no way of knowing if the creature would attack from the left or the right. Reacting quickly, Jacin Sky performed a backward force-assisted leap, braced himself against the port side of the hangar bay, and launched himself over the head of the twin-tailed Kof. Mas Amdu swung the brilliant green saber, missing Jacin Sky by mere inches.
Mas Amdu turned around, easily rotating his limber body 180 degrees without a moment's hesitation, and located his opponent in the middle of the hangar bay, still in the Form III defensive pose, this time seemingly ready for his attack. The two combatants rushed one another, and the green sabers met each other with the familiar clashing noise. Mas Amdu Kof was clearly the aggressor, pressing Jacin Sky backward. Jacin, for his part, deflected the reptilian's attacks with ease, giving ground but matching him swing for swing with a minimum of extra movement.
Jacin suddenly looked left, with surprise and alarm, sensing danger. Mas Amdu felt it too, and twisted his body around suddenly to meet the new threat, lightsaber at the ready.... but nothing was there. Taken by surprise, Mas Amdu felt the searing heat of a lightsaber slicing clean through one of his tails. Mas Amdu roared with contempt, and twisted around before Jacin Sky could do any further damage, meeting his lightsaber before it made the killing blow.
"That will grow back, you know. I can't say the same for your appendages when I am finished with you, Sky." growled Kof.
"Yield now. There's nothing left to prove here."
"This is only the beginning!" shouted Kof, who tapped even deeper into the force.... summoning Force Valor. He continued the assault on Sky, but the balance of power had shifted. Mas Amdu was moving faster and more aggressively than before, and his movements were more precise, more deadly, and more difficult to deflect. Jacin Sky tapped into his more advanced training, and dodged ever more swiftly and performed more agile maneuvers to duck the wild, powerful swings of his opponent. One such swing grazed his hair, burning off a few inches of it. That one could have been lethal.
"You've become very strong, Kof.... but your training is incomplete. You must yield! Now!" demanded Sky.
"You're one of them, Sky! You're one of the Sith, and I will prove it to them. You cannot deceive me, hyoo-mon! You're going to pay for the Jedi you've killed!" roared Kof.
"That's enough!! I order you to stand down!" barked Sky.
"Never! I will not be commanded by Sith SCUM!!!!" replied the reptilian, forcing Jacin Sky into a corner of the hangar bay, and raising up on his long, muscular tail, towering over Jacin Sky, reaching several meters in height, blocking all escape routes. There was no way out but through. Kof swung Nomi Sunrider's green saber as hard as he could, and Jacin Sky closed his eyes.
The lightsaber deflected off of Jacin Sky's shoulder, causing a deep wound, but not cutting clean through. The sudden impact jerked the green saber backward in Mas Amdu Kof's hand, causing him to lose his grip. His reptilian claws could not grip the unfamiliar blade properly. Jacin Sky wasted no time, bringing his own saber through the wrist of Mas Amdu, then twisting his body and delivering a horizontal cut which separated the huge reptilian from the lower half of his body. Nomi's lightsaber went clattering to the ground, as the reptilian man tried to slither out of range of Jacin Sky's attack. The reptile reached out with the Force, and pulled the lightsaber back to him with his remaining hand, igniting it as it reached his grip. He rolled over to see Jacin Sky flying through the air, landing directly over his prone body, delivering another clean cut, removing the reptile's other hand. Mas Amdu Kof spat furiously at his Jedi opponent, and vowed that it wasn't over.
"I am not finished with you, Sky! In just a few moments, I'll have all my limbs back, and then I will have my revenge."
"When did you lose your way, Kof?" demanded Sky.
"It's not me who has lost his way, hyoo-mon! Do it, you coward.... you found your way to escape death, but you cannot fool me. Now show the Jedi your true nature.... finish me!"
"It's not the Jedi way. It's not my way." said Sky.
"Liar." hissed Kof, just as his tail began to regenerate, and summon his lightsaber again. The weapon landed tightly in the coiled grip of the bearded reptilian, who looked at Jacin Sky with victorious eyes.
The sound of a lightsaber cutting through flesh, and another clattering to the ground, echoed throughout the hangar bay. The Jedi had been slain.
_________
Jacin rolled back to his feet, and looked back at his fallen opponent. He had delivered the killing blow just in time, and removed the reptile's head cleanly. His shoulder was a little worse for wear, but it was nothing that the medical droids couldn't fix. He bowed to his fallen opponent, and switched his saber emitter off, and collected Nomi Sunrider's lightsaber from the hangar deck, and walked back to her to return it.

I am very sorry if my post was or even could be interpreted as an affront, you were one of my last choices for a lynch. I would actually prefer Secura walks the plank to be honest because I don't see how voting for yourself helps the town er... Star Destroyer
However, at that point there is very little chance of Secura winning in the polls so I chose to even up the vote rather than let a bandwagon off a potentially valuable player
I felt that a duel will decrease the chances that a more important player will die (assuming that more important players have higher skill) so I felt it would be the lesser of two (or three) evils... My apologies for how the duel turned out though :shame:
Honestly I have no idea how well you play but I look forward very much to finding out
and darn the time difference, I almost got this in before the thread was closed before the fight and I thought I had an hour :embarassed:
So the write-up made them both seem rather skilled although they both made some mistakes. However since Raskolnikov was just an initiate so I'm not sure how much we can rely on writeups to tell us a Jedi's power. peever did have a lightsaber form though so that means he's at least a padawan, right? Or do you have to be a knight before you get a specialized form?

So padawan? that would make a lot more sense than a knight as far as your comparative skill levels
