What's more interesting is that Chaotix has a relatively high Earth DV.
By the way, I suffered 2 damage from a Water attack. 2 Water and 2 Fire makes sense, while 3 Fire simply can not be at this early stage.
Crow's attacks: no element was attributed to the first. That's got to be the scum attack, right there.
Vote: Potion 1 to Crow
Are you saying you got hit by a water attack last night, Montmorency? From the write-up it sure looked like you were hit by fire.
I'm not fully convinced that Crow was attacked by the mafia last night. Jarema did mention that a couple of players did have initial XP points they could spend - it's not impossible for one of them to already have high fire AV and then upgrade it further during the first night. Also, I'm guessing the heads of the colleges must have pretty decent stats so it might well have been the head of the fire one.

ftr: Jarema lists the damage done to you and states its element, so I know it was earth and fire - glad to see someone else corrected your mistake Chaotix - I wasn't lynched, but I'm happy to vote for the guy who was lynched again
vote: Capt. Blackadder
Don't bother voting the potions to me - I'm no power role and I only have 1 HP which no amount of potions will help.
Anyway - What were you doing with your shiny new shield this week Khaan?

Re: Academy of Elemental Magic [IN PLAY]
My descrtiptions sucks at times... the attack with the ceiling was supposed to be an earth attack(ceiling = stone...); I want all attacks to have obvious elemental ties in descriptions

I'm guessing that the head might be able to do such damage, but a student? The attacker at least 5 and 6 in attack (damage= attack-def-1). 4 I can see if I squint hard enough, but 5 and 6 is impossible this early, unless you have something like 3 in starting attack and 10-15 starting exp. Add coordination between two elements.
Besides, if I'm reading correctly, Lazy dodged the fire base of the attack (lucky dodge, corrupt fire version turns around and attacks). That's one big tell sign.
Better check. Jarema, does corruption work as an attack value or is it only extra damage?
-
Re: Academy of Elemental Magic [IN PLAY]
I see that it is ambigious, so I will write it with brackets:
damage = (attack - defense) +1; is always at least 1 if attack hit; can be higher due to corruption; some other factors can influence damage
-
Re: Academy of Elemental Magic [IN PLAY]
MY MISTAKE: I wrote to Montmorency that he was attacked with water.
Montmorency was attacked with fire.

Re: Academy of Elemental Magic [IN PLAY]
Surely the attacks on LazyMcCrow were mafia? I can't believe that two of the college heads would happen to attack the same person on night one and I can't think of anyone else who would be able to do that much damage, unless I am just massively weaker than everyone else.
Vote:Ignoramus for trying to deflect attention away from the Crow attacks.
As for the potions I agree with LazyMcCrow, it hardly seems worth giving them to him if he only has 1HP left, he may well still die even if he used both of them tonight. Not really sure who to give them to though...
Vote muddy potion: Montmorency
Vote steamy potion: Montmorency
I guess if he has been attacked it makes him a tiny bit less likely to be scum.

Re: Academy of Elemental Magic
Vote: White Eyes, don't know any better here, D1 one voters could be those trying to avoid attention...
Vote for Muddy Potion: Lazy McCrow, trying to help him out, although his could be a clever mafia ploy to clear him, but I'm most likely being paranoid...
Vote for Steamy Potion: Chaotix, what I understood from the write-up and posts, he should be pretty powerful in defense...

Re: Academy of Elemental Magic
It looks to me like Lazy only survived due to the beginner's luck ability. If I were in his situation, I'd like some potions, so I shall follow the golden rule.

I didn't dodge anything - I got hit by an earth attack and a fire attack

That is what I understood... Thats why I'm asking, and what he mean by the lucky dodge and the corrupt fire thing.
Anyway you are the only one with an urgent need of the items so,

I appreciate it R - but as i said in a previous post - I only have 1 HP left, so giving me the potions would be a waste. Visorslash seems in his usual supertownie mode, so thats who I voted for the potions

Why would defensive potions be wasted on you? If anyone would need extra defense to survive, surely it would be you.
-
Re: Academy of Elemental Magic [IN PLAY]
Fair enough - I'd certainly be grateful for them, but as I am so close to death it would seem a waste. They are Air(Water?) and Earth defence - I get hit by fire or water(air?) and its sayonara anyway my sweet bovine. Better off claiming them yourself non?

Well, if the potions are passive then we might as well give them both to you. If they aren't then there are better options.
If the potions are passive, you are invincible for a night.

I'd happily claim them myself if I could convince people to give them to me, but that seems unlikely so I'm not going to bother trying. In any case, I question the utility of the potions for the reason you point out... we know who's going to get them and the scum will know what attacks not to use on those people. For this reason they're not going to be game-changers so I don't think it's much of a big deal who gets them.
Besides, if you really don't want them you can simply give them away at night to the person of your choice instead of using them. That might actually make them more useful since then there would be no public knowledge about who got the defensive bonuses.

Lazy. He dodges the inital fireboll indicating some defense (could be artistic writeup though), the fireboll then return in some nasty (corrupt) version that hits him.
If I'm getting Jarema correctly, then there was less devastating attacks than I previously thought. Min 3 and 4 in attack. And less corruption damage than expected (2-3 damage at maximum). It's possible that they start out with non-maxed corruption then.
Lazy, is it too much to ask what your defenses were at the attack? I'm number crunching.

Version 1: Yes yes, please sir, take these potions (which by the way, we totally shouldn't even think much about anyways 'cuz the scum will know it too, they aren't important guiz), and please sir, bear in mind that I would ever so bravely take this burden myself but I'm afraid that I wouldn't get much support. Now dear, who shall I put my own suspicion on? Why, let's choose a chap at random shall we, great effectiveness! holly ho!
version 2: 1 HP you say? well drat, take these potions, drink them, and I shall kill you anyways. Bear in mind I would bravely take this burden of potion-owning upon myself but I'm afraid to ask my scum buddies to publically vote them to me. Oh what is this in the rules I see? "b) with exception of artifacts, after character's death his items are buried with him. We do not rob corpses." Objects get buried with their possessor? Why what a convenient rule for me, Mr Scum tincow, in case he doesn't trade it away as a free action! Ho ho ho!
