A defensive bridge battle against Pontus. I had killed about half of them when the remainder of their army sat motionless in the river crossing, in a giant blob. Since they were just sitting there, I put my pezhetairoi in a blob too, and marched them forward.

An brave lesbian singe handedly keeps my pezhetairoi from advancing.

Roman troops marching down the streets of Carthage, for the third time. Sadly, they will be unable to stay for long, as conflicts otherwise forces the legion to leave the city. Though one day, Carthage will remain a Roman province!

No, no photo editing other than cropping. I just selected one of every Aedui unit, set them to wide formation and put them into one big block. For the second picture I gave the computer some triple-gold chrevon Hetairoi and waited for the inevitable charge (the Hetairoi are just behind the camera). I did use the movie_cam command-line.
It took me quite a while to run the battle and process the screenshots, though. My objective was to get the first screenshot with the general leading, but I couldn't pull this off. The general always had to go through the sword-waving motion before starting to run so he was always behind the men of his own unit. However, perhaps it may work if he put the other soldiers somewhat behind him and position the camera so that the men of his own unit are out of sight. I should also get a more inspiring background. Well, I don't have time for that now.
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
I find the "Aedui shieldwall" particularly nice :2thumbsup:
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
Love the Shield Wall too... but I could be bias ~;)
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
If only the shield wall was real.
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
Well with M2TW it could be...
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
After somewhat mastering Rome (me) vs Getai...I've pulled a few screenshots from our years of conflicts. So far, 13 years of warfare, has resulted in numerous defeats and victories for both sides. However, I have slowly gotten the upper hand.

A Getai army charges head-strong into waiting Romans. The Getai are decimated by javelins, flanking archer fire, and awaiting cavalry. However painful and costly it proves to be, the Getai are attempting to resist the might of Rome.

An inexperinced Roman consul obtains a victory aganist a Getai settlement. The few remaints of the town's defense attempt an 'Aganist All Odds' defense of the settlement, backs to the wall.

Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
Nice screens again, Ludens (particularly "Casse Elite" and "Godilic pride", IMO) and that Celtic charge is looking great too, Hortar.
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
nice! new occultus sig! and judging by angadil's predilections, another (moderately firm) indication that one of the new factions will be a steppe tribe of some sort...
and the last few screeny posts have been very nice. hortar's would be really great if not for the unfortunate "double soldier" in the center. stinks when that happens eh? Still, its a very cool screen.

While waiting for v0.8 I've been stuffing around with the Yuezhi I took this picture after killing 27 Pantodapoi with my two generals alone they are all that is left of my army :stars:
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
Keep the screenies coming :2thumbsup:
Some of these screenies will be added to gallery, however the website will be updated not this week or next week, but the week 0.8 is released. We EBeers do visit this thread from time to time and watch the incredibly nice screenshots.
And a sidenote: We will not take images with the UI shown as none of those on the Gallery atm have them. Neither will images showing units that will be replaced, be featured on the Gallery such as the KH general
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
Hi Ludens,
How did you bring the camera so low to capture their face on screenshot (I'm refering to Aedui charge and shieldwall etc) As I can only have my camera slightly above and can never capture such beautiful low angled screenshots.
Can you teach me how to do it please. :)
best
Re: Your favourite EB screenshots
I used the movie_cam command-line. You can find instructions on how to use it here. It doesn't work in campaign battles, unfortunatly, only when playing a replays. One thing the instructions do not mention is that the T button seems to screw up the commands. Pressing T again will restore them, but I spent a few very annoying minutes before I found this out.

Those that resist the might of Rome, by attacking one of its cities, pay the dearest price by the hands of the Triari!

Appreciate your kind reply.
