Yep, the US uses Houston as a space base. So in case something goes horribly wrong, like a spacecraft crashing or exploding, only Texas gets hurt.

Kind of what France uses French Guiana for. ~;p

As a kid, my Mom talked about how beautiful Corpus Christy and Galvastine were - aside from Phoenix (only God knows why). After visiiting the, I like Galvastine (sorta, worse sunburn of my young adult life) .... but Corpus is a hole where bigoted whites live.

As for the remainder of Texass .... "it's god's country .... 'cause satan didn't want it (aside from the souls in it). Texas is one big fart that is continuace - the wind blows as much much as their women do. Not ugly, just ... on and on and on and on and on ..........

BTW - you needed to go inland many more miles to get to the true bigoted whites who live in that part of Texas. Corpus has nothing on those that live a little fatrher east and north of that town.

It's acctually a harder choice than I first thought. I've been to Texas only twice.. beyond stereotypes it isn't all that bad a place. Alot more liberal than I'd been led to believe. I did however vote for France.. not for the architecture, the history, the food (which I find vastly overrated.. it's just food ffs!).. not even for the women. Simply because I find it easier to relate to France than I do to Texas. Even though it isn't the rocky wasteland populated by cocky cowboys it's often portrayed to be, it just feels more foreign than France.
