KHA------AN!
I took this one a few days ago. One of my generals went brigand, so I decided swift justice had to be administered. I did so with vastly superior numbers (about 1800 against 20)

Hi,
This thread would be better placed in the sticky list!
Here is my contribution:

Choose the download section, 3 pictures there.
Note that the picture on page 1 was taken in a map where no contact between the 2 armies was possible!!! (there were cliffs in-between)

Hey Steph, just how many did the archers in the second screenshot kill in that battle? sounds like you could have taken a lot down with you.
I don't remember exactly, but you can see on the picture that the spearmen (the 2 units on the right) are already seriously reduced. However I needed many arrows to kill them because they were armoured.
I think all 4 units were each reduced to approx a size of 12 (at which point I change the target to increase the chances of a hit).
I thought about charging them because they were all wavered. The only problem was that my men were exhausted...and also wavered!
I must say that in this story if I had kept my general guard unit on the field this would probably never happened because the spearmen would have attacked my general, not the archers.

"Maybe if we give them our gold stars they'll go away"

It's a party and you're all invited!
Rather frustrating period in my Portugal game. Sicily and Venice factions kept crusing over to my island and placing stacks of troops on it. And the second they outnumbered me they'd attack me. I'd beat them off and we'd do a cease fire. And then they'd again drop units off on my island (without declaring war). And they'd just sit there, forcing me to keep a huge standing army.
And as for Milan being there? I've no idea, they never attacked me they just seemed to like keeping a small stack of troops there. Even the Pope visited the island, and he didn't even have an escort! If I weren't so nice I could easily have captured him and ransomed him.
Anyway... here is my Russian leader. I'm rather proud of him.
And here is one of the few princesses you'll ever see who has a fair few stars in Charm.
If this is an island with only one city, I would let him take it if he wishes. Just stack your own forces near his continental cities, and as soon as he attacks you, take 3 or 4 of his cities! :idea2:
Also, prepare an army on water and break all his ships, so he cannot disembark to attack your back. Or blockage strategic point on the sea.

The general's horse was slipping on the snow at the after victory screenshot.
Heh. Yeah, that's pretty crowded, all right! It rather reminds of me of my old MTW games, when there would sometimes be 2-3 Crusades sitting around Constantinople (in addition the Byzatines' garrison there). :laugh4:Quote:

The Sicilians gave the Pope an offer he couldn't refuse...A Jihad.:beam:
The nice thing about when they constantly attack you like that is that your troops build up experience wickedly fast.

As it turns out, they (eventually) gave up standing around doing nothing and sailed away to defend their own lands from invaders. Except the Milan stack, which just stayed there.Quote:

What happened in MTW is that the enemy stacked a lot of units on the islands and I resisted several sieges. During this time (my goal was to take total control of the sea), I sent ships to destroy his navy and when he took my castle he was left alone on the island. He staid there until the end of the game, when I massed several thousand troops and send them for a finaly "good bye". It was like 5000 veteran troops against 150 ;)

It means I took Cordoba, Granada, and Valencia while the bulk of the Moorish army was stuck on the other side. I can then pacify the regions with priests and remain free of attack from that side. Just make sure your fleet is strong enough to hold the position.
