Europa Barbarorum v0.81 released :: Grab it here

I used the link on the first page i.e. https://www.europabarbarorum.com/cco...lick.php?id=11

It redirects me to this page: https://www.europabarbarorum.com/ebupdated.html

I click on the link there to get v0.81a: https://www.europabarbarorum.com/cco...lick.php?id=18

It tries to retrieve ftp://ftp.europabarbarorum.org/EB081a-full.exe

... and I find that Firefox, IE7 and SmartFTP all report that FTP server (IP 216.32.70.202 Port: 21) is dead.

Am I trying to use the wrong link, or is there some problem between my ISP and that server? Is there an alternate download?

No, you're using the right link. I just tried to click it and it found the file. The problem seems to be on your end. You are obviously able to resolve the name to IP address. Some points that may or may not help you:

1) Are you able to ping it?
2) Have you tried to disable passive mode in any of your FTP clients? That was a solution to some previous problems, but likely irrelevant here...
3) Have you tried to disable windows firewall?
4) Are you trying from your workplace or from home? Some business networks are very restrictive about unencrypted traffic to the outside world.
5) Have you tried to download from a public computer (at a library, for instance) or any other computer not connected through your ISP?
6) Are you connected to a VPN? If so, try without being connected to the VPN. (If you don't know what VPN is, you're not connected to one)
7) (Advanced) Have you confirmed that your router allows outbound TCP traffic at port 21, and incoming on the port used for continuation with the FTP server once the handshake is complete? Only change stuff here if you know what you're doing!
8) (Advanced) Have you sniffed your network traffic, for instance with Ethereal, to see whether there is a response from the server?

3) I don't use Windows Firewall. I do use Zone Alarm, disabling it made no difference.

4/6/7) Connecting from home, no VPN, no router, no LAN, I have a single PC with dial-up networking and a USB ADSL modem.

9) Bingo... I'm having the same problem with a couple of other FTP servers I have used repeatedly in the past. [And I haven't reconfigured anything in ages.] Yup, this is definitely my problem. Thanks for your help, sorry for taking your time.

EDIT: Ha! You've been added to the P2P blocklist for PeerGuardian, maintained at http://www.bluetack.co.uk/ Somebody thinks you're either (a) a P2P snooper or (b) a P2P poisoner. But... But... Why? We use bittorrent to distribute EB, yes... But that's hardly poisoning.

I'm having a strange problem. I just installed v0.81 and every time I try to save I get a message saying "Save Failed couldn't save file on disk". It doesn't auto save either. Tried reinstalling but that hasn't helped. This occurs with all factions.

Quick question...I'm installing EB on a second system and want to know if the current full download comes with all the works....i.e..Hotfix, improved rebel CTD fix or do i still have to get those afterwards??..Thanks in advance.

It does not include the improved rebel ctd fix or any of the other stuff, but it does include the hotfix (ie 0.81a the patch for 0.81).
