Hi there!
Currently, I'm an undergrad student of Civil Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, in Edinburgh.
Too many people in life science and arts here... we need a break I think! ~:)

Another Texas A&M Aggie here, class of '97 (well, 98 actually, but it wasn't supposed to take me 5 years) Major in aerospace engineering, one class shy of a minor in math and some dabblings in psychology.
Civilization 1 (yes, I am THAT old) was the seed that grew over the years into a love of both strategy games and history, and now my hard drives are cluttered with games and I could open a respectable used book store in my house if I could bring myself to part with them.
You U of M Terps are hereby challenged to a hotseat game of EBII, since I'm on the south side of DC.
At the Aggie 2ndLt, send me a PM. My gig in DC is designing new gear for Marines, and Aggies are supposed to look out for each other.

Re: So EB players and team members , where do you go to school or what is your degree?
First post!
I was looking around for an intro thread and this is the closest to one it seems! :beam:
It's been a long time since I played R:TW and I've just started playing EB and it's quite a steep learning curve, but it's set in an interesting period and has such amazing attention to detail, I've been looking forward to playing it for quite some time!
My background:
I graduated with a BA in Ancient History from University College London, the course was mostly focused on pre-Hellenistic Greece and Rome. It was boring as hell and nearly destroyed my love of ancient history - that was the tutor's fault though! ;)
Towards the end of that course, I tried to steer my studies more heavily towards the mythological side and took a number of Anthropology courses.
After that, I proceeded onto a BSc in Anthropology, also from UCL. Really, my primary interest was in peeling back the layers of ancient world societies to understand their worldview. The objective is to bring together interpretive devices from history, archaeology and anthropology. Combining metaphor and material culture to create a kind of context driven approach to interpretation.
From there, I spent the next 10 years travelling, researching and finally ended up with a position at a major university here in Bangkok giving occasional lectures on Anthropology mostly for fun, and teaching corporate English to live. I occasionally get a bit of paid research and have had a few articles published. I have a strange plan which is to combine all of this approach iand write the greatest fantasy epic ever.... unfortunately, it's finding the time to start that's difficult!! :juggle2:

Welcome the Guild, Spearthrower! Hope you enjoy it here.
Well, I'm a freshman here at college in Washington, hoping to major in history (East Asian, Islamic and European - I know, it's kinda broad!:book: :juggle2: :book: ) and maybe a minor in East Asian studies. I'm taking Chinese right now but I'm thinking about adding Greek and maybe Arabic or German. Just some ideas. Yeah, it's alot, I know.

never said anything about the women .
rule #1 with russia almighty
women will not get dragged into my plots and schemes ......usually. I still say EB should pimp out its female population to help fund server costs .

Failed attempt at MSc in Civil Engineering (Delft University of Technology), diagnosed in 5th year with ADD and dyslexia (can't trust that I write down the right answer to a calculation even though I know what it should be), which explained why I failed my exams on the maths parts, despite understanding the concepts. So I dropped out to clean the mess that my life had become.
BA in History University of Leiden. Currently studying for my MPhil in Ancient History (specializing in the Late Roman army). Maybe spend a term abroad, though the only reasonable options so far are either St. Andrews or Oxford.
My aim is to eventually get my PhD.
Also:
1 year Fullbright exchange in the US (Elizabethown College (PA)) (right out of highschool). Here I picked up my love for the Philly Eagles and Flyers.
1 semester University of Hawaii (as part of my BA) (So yes, the Sugar Bowl was painful to watch).
