Grrr! I'm sure I resaved it. Apologies, I'll go and fix it.
The game is temporarily frozen until the Civil War thing is resolved, however Ignoramus is free to post the proper 1113 save game whenever he wants. It's just as easy for me to edit from that save as from the current one.
Taking the save. This may be a while, so please be patient.
Here is the new LotRMod version 1.2.
Please extract it into your base M2TW folder and have it overwrite all existing files.
The changes are as follows:
(1) Fixed description of Overconfident and Blatantly Overconfident traits.
(2) Removed the triggers for the entire Civil War system of traits (note that removing the triggers but leaving the traits themselves is the easiest way to prevent conflict problems for people who forget to install the mod):
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
(3) Removed the triggers for the Near Loyalty and Far Loyalty trait lines:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
(4)Removed the trigger for the Stripped trait line:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
This turned out to be less work than I thought. The Civil War system didn't actually trigger until the 1113 turn, so the last 1111 save didn't require me to clean up all the Civil War traits that popped up later. The game is now unfrozen and can proceed as normal. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL LotRMod 1.2!
http://mizus.org/files/pbm/LOTR-1111-10.zip
Changes Made:
(1) All Near_Loyalty and Far_Loyalty traits have been removed from ALL avatars. This generally resulted in a small increase in loyalty for most people, though it dropped 1 or 2 points for a couple people. In every instance of a loyalty drop, the avatar already had high loyalty, so no one is risking a 'natural' revolt as a result of this change.
(2) Iconium retinue title moved from Hypatios Machonios to Ioannis Kalameteros. Machonios was still in Asteri when he took the city, and thus it was instantly the possession of Kalameteros, who is the highest rank in their feudal chain.
(3) 19,260 florins added to the treasury. This is to compensate for the cost of the Crusade. This is the PRECISE amount of money that the armies cost last turn, the armies and fleets cost this turn, and the armies and fleets will cost next turn. Further monies will be added into the treasury to nullify the costs of the Crusade until the Event ends. At that point, all remaining units will either have to be paid for through normal means or disbanded to save money. Keep in mind that the 19,260 just added includes the cost of the Crusade for the 1113 turn. As such, if it is all spent before the end turn button is hit, the treasury will drop into debt once again. At the very end of 1113 (and all following turns) I will deposit the proper amount of money into the treasury to prevent it from going red as the result of the Crusade alone. The Megas should keep this in mind when deciding on how to deal with the treasury. Please PM me if there are any questions about this.
*Please note that there will be NO game editing for avatars that revolt in the future. Any future revolts will occur as the result of normal M2TW gameplay, not the SS 4.1 Civil War system. Those events will have to be dealt with just like any other in-game event.*

The game is frozen until Ignoramus decides whether or not to accept the adoption... unless whatever changes you are making to the save game do not remove the MoH offer. I'm not sure what erases it and what does not. If nothing erases it, everyone can do what they wish. Just make sure that the option is still there for Ignoramus to accept or reject whenever he gets back online. He does not have to personally load the game and click the button. Once he posts his wishes, anyone else can do it for him.

Savvas is going back to Arta; spotted a small army of rebels, will probably make a detour to get rid of them. Can the Megas put taxes in Arta lower, since the inhabitants of the settlement are getting angry ("red" face, my SOT asks for "blue" face).
Taking the save to deal with the Crusade.
Andres, you are free to manually adjust the tax rate of any settlements you own, there's no need to wait for the Megas to do it. I'll bump the taxes down for you while making my changes.

As every Crusader army is under 6 units, I am not going to bother with the +1 bonus roll calculations. Instead, I will simply remove no movement at all as a possibility from a die roll.
-------------
Vartholomaios Ksiros (Rowan) and Kosmas Mavrozomis (Zim) left at the break of dawn and have sailed with the utmost vigor and skill. Both have made excellent time, exceeding even the expectations of their own experienced sailors. The two men are within sight of each other, southwest of Smyrna, and within reasonable distance of Rhodes.
Methodios Tagaris (Tristan de Castelreng) was not to be left out of this race, and he too left port early. However, his sails were less expertly managed and he could not keep up with the pace of the other two once they reached top speed. As they receded over the horizon, Methodios found himself alone in third place, directly west of Smyrna.
Stavros ek Amarinthou (Knights_of_Palma) woke up late and went about his duties in a leisurely fashion. Slow and steady may win the race, but they may not be good enough to reach Egypt first. He is in fourth place, northwest of Smyrna.
Shortly behind, and within visual distance, of Stavros is Efstathios Laskaris (Ibn-Khaldun). The delay in boarding his ships caused him great harm, but he made up for it by driving his team with a tremendous effort, milking every last bit of speed out of them. If he can keep this rate up, he will soon overtake some of the Crusaders in front of him.
Vissarionas ek Lesvou (Ramses II CP) is not an experienced sailor, and his progress has demonstrated it. Everything that could possibly go wrong did go wrong, though there is no one to blame for most of it but the fates. Knots were tied wrong, sails flapped in the wind, bad weather forced him to take shelter in a cove for a short while, and a seagull temporarily blinded the helmsman with some impressive aerial bombardment. Poor Vissarionas is happy to simply be nearing the southern end of the Dardanelles.
Yet he is not in last place. That inglorious spot falls to Annios Solomon (woad&fangs). He was making fabulous time, comparable to that of Methodios Tagaris. However the terrain soon began to look strange. After a few days of sailing, the walls of Constantinople appeared before him and it became apparent that they had been sailing in the wrong direction! After a brief investigation, it was revealed that some villain had stolen Annios' sea charts and replaced them with forgeries designed to lead them in the wrong direction! The identity of the malefactor could not be discerned, though all crewmembers are looking cross-eyed at each other now. After stopping in port in Constantinople, Annios was able to obtain new charts and set off in the proper direction. He managed to reach his original starting point before the year was up, resulting in no progress at all.
---------
Note: The treasury is currently in the red. This is not the fault of the Crusade. I have double checked the upkeep for all Crusade fleets and armies, and the previous calculations were correct. The money I added to the treasury last turn included the sums for this turn as well. I specifically noted that in my post. I cannot tell what all this money was spent on, but it was spent on something without regard to the fact that the treasury is losing money each turn. As such, the current debt has nothing to do with the Crusade, since all sums for 1110, 1111, and 1113 have already been given to the treasury through the console.
From now on I will only add money to the treasury retroactively on the turn that I do the editing. This means that the sum for 1114 will not be added until next turn, which will be prior to the Megas making any investment for 1114 anyway, since he takes the save last. Thus the treasury will remain in the red for the rest of this turn. Next turn I will give it the total sum of the Crusade, which is 7,320 florins. The current projection for next turn shows -5692, which means that less than 2000 florins will be left in the treasury after I add in the extras. Be aware that this means that treasury spending is currently nearly outstripping its income. If this is not dealt with promptly, Byzantium may find itself in crippling debt.

Moved Nathanail to Antioch to resupply per Bananabob's instructions. Moved Mak next to the Egyptian raiding party in Antioch but did not attack it.
Also, a lot of the avatars still have near/far loyalty. Hypatios still has the Iconium title.
It appears that Ignoramus decided not to use the save where I had fixed all problems before advancing to 1113. I will thus have to re-do all the changes. This annoys me greatly, but at least it explains why the treasury is in the negative.

The German Crusade has ventured further into Anatolia. They are currently east of Nicaea.
We have negotiated trade rights with the Kingdom of Leon. We have also, through modest gifts, have improved relations between our two realms.
The French and Normans of Sicily are now at war. The result of the struggle will greatly impact the position of Italy.
We are now at war with the Fatimids, as required by the Magnaura. The Fatimid army south of Antioch did not attack, but has remained in the vicinity of the city.
A large Turkish army is near Adana, but reports suggest they are headed for Iconium, not the Cilician city.
A priest, while attempting to denounce a heretic in Anatolia, lost his faith and joined the heretic. Both, however, have been denounced by others more faithful to the Word.
Markonnias Ampelas has been married. I congratulate the newly weds.
The current treasury is around 560 florins.

Moved south towards Constantinopol.
I am using this thread for this post as this is an official announcement that needs to be considered public, yet it doesn't belong in any other place.
Byblos has missed the last two Senate sessions and has not logged onto the Org for over a month and a half. He is now considered an inactive player. His avatar will remain alive for the time being and will simply stay put in Constantinople in case he returns, at least for now. However, I now consider him to be a completely neutral Senator and am declaring his oath to Ioannis Komnenos and the House of Komnenodoukai to be broken. If he ever returns, he can renew his oath and rejoin very easily. On a practical level, this doesn't make any difference to anyone in the game at all, since he was just a Strator.
This post also serves as notice that the same thing will be done to The Lemongate if he does not reappear before the end of the next normal Senate session. If he again fails to vote, under the rules his land (Belgrade) will be automatically given to his Lord (Kosmas Mavrozomis). I will then remove his oaths and move him to the unaligned and inactive section, along with Byblos. This will result in the loss of a landed Senator for the House of Asteri, which could potentially cause havoc with ranks. If this occurs Kosmas Mavrozomis (Zim) can immediately give the land to someone else. If this is coordinated properly and done in a timely manner, it will not result in any loss of rank for anyone.

Kosmas Mavrozomis (Zim) has continued to sail very well, taking advantage of good wind and favorable weather. A storm grew behind him, but he sailed fast and avoided it, proceeding at top speed, and is now well south of Rhodes. With that island receding behind him, Egypt will be the next land mass his eyes see.
Vartholomaios Ksiros (Rowan) was sailing well besides Kosmas Mavrozomis, but the fates turned against him. A large rip appeared in one of his sails, forcing him to put to and repair it. While doing so, a huge storm came up and battered the small Crusader fleet. Ksiros and his men managed to repair the ship and proceeded west to take shelter along the Anatolian coast south of Smyrna. There progress this year has been almost negligible.
Methodios Tagaris (Tristan de Castelreng) was also caught in the same brutal storm as Ksiros. He similarly diverted east, towards the coast off of Smyrna for shelter. His ship suffered great damage in the storm and most of the year was spent making repairs. Egypt is not much closer this year than it was last.
Stavros ek Amarinthou (Knights_of_Palma) managed to avoid the storm and found the sailing conditions to be excellent. His crew did not encounter any problems and sailed to the best of their skill. He is now south-southwest of Smyrna and is essentially tied for second place with Vartholomaios Ksiros.
Efstathios Laskaris (Ibn-Khaldun) sailed well, but not quite as well as last year. His sails spilled wind here and there and the remnants of the terrible storm battered him for a short while. He is now west of Smyrna and within striking distance of many other Crusaders.
Vissarionas ek Lesvou (Ramses II CP) also had superb sailing session. His men got their act together and worked in harmony and to the utmost of their skill. Before they knew it, they were pulling up besides Efstathios Laskaris and the two fleets are now within shouting distance of each other, west of Smyrna.
Annios Solomon (woad&fangs) recovered decently from the sabotage of the previous year. He sailed well and decently, without more than the usual minor problems... until three days into the voyage. One morning, one of the sailors noticed a strange looking knot on the mainsail. After further examination, it was discovered to be a complex slipknot that would slowly loosen over time. Had it not been discovered, the whole sail would eventually have collapsed, potentially causing massive damage to the ship. One thing is certain, whoever attempted this heinous act is still on board the ship. Despite this sabotage attempt, Solomon and his fleet managed to sail decently, and they are within striking distance of Crusaders Laskaris and ek Lesvou.

Kosmas Mavrozomis (Zim) is truly a blessed man. His fleet continues to avoid all inclement weather, and the winds themselves appear to favor him as if send by God himself. This year Kosmas and his men have sailed farther and faster than they believed possible. The ocean voyage itself is nearly behind them, and barring a serious turn of luck, they will reach the Egyptian shore next year. What they will find there, alone and without allies, will be less certain.
Vissarionas ek Lesvou (Ramses II CP) has benefited from whatever forces guide the hand of Crusader Mavrozomis' fleet. He too has sailed beyond all expectations of both his men and ships. Favorable seas greeted him every morning, with strong and constant winds. There is still much of the sea yet to be crossed, but he has established a commanding lead over all other Crusaders bar Kosmas. Overall, this is an impressive performance for one who started the voyage so poorly.
Annios Solomon (woad&fangs) was determined to put the treachery of previous years behind him, and urged his men on towards the open sea. So hard and fast did they sail, that soon they caught sight of the fleet of Stavros ek Amarinthou (Knights_of_Palma). Stravos' men had set a steady, but none too strenuous pace, and before they knew it Annios Solomon and his ships were along side of them. Soon a good-hearted race began, and both Crusading armies sailed into sight of Rhodes together.
Whatever luck Vartholomaios Ksiros (Rowan) had at the beginning of the voyage has long since fled. His ship was more badly damaged by the storm than was initially realized, and soon the bilges began to fill with water. For a while, the crew became panicked and began to think that they would sink altogether, but soon Rhodes appeared in the distance and they were able to put in to a protected harbor on the northwest of the island where repairs were begun. The fleet will be repaired and ready to sail again next year, but the Crusaders had best hope that their luck changes quickly if they are to reach Egypt before the holy mission is completed.
Efstathios Laskaris (Ibn-Khaldun) has continued his trend by performing more poorly than his previous year. He is still making progress, which is commendable, but without further efforts the riches of Alexandria and Cairo will elude him for certain. He had best hope that next year brings more favorable results.
Methodios Tagaris (Tristan de Castelreng) is lucky to still be alive. After the disastrous storm of the previous year, he had sailed close to the Anatolian shore to allow his men to have a chance of swimming to safety in the event he foundered. This did not prove to be the case, and the make-shift repairs they conducted on the barred coastline were not to the standards of the glorious shipwrights of Constantinople. Within days, leaks began appearing all over the fleet and they were once again forced to seek the shelter of a protected cove to do further repairs. Egypt is the last thing on the minds of most of the sailors and Crusaders these days, as the very prospect of a crossing of the great Sea itself terrifies them beyond all reason.

Crusade Movement for 1117:
Kosmas Mavrozomis (Zim) is on a Mission from God. His startling luck has held beyond all possible expectations, and he has successfully arrived in Egypt. He now stands on the shores of a foreign land without allies or support. The cities of Alexandria and Cairo lie before him, but they are garrisoned and will not fall easily to such a small force, even if it is blessed by the Heavans. Still, it is a Mission from God. It's 106 miles to Cairo, he's got a full year lead, half a stack of Crusaders, it's the desert, and he's wearing a sun visor on his helmet.
Vartholomaios Ksiros (Rowan) spared no efforts in ensuring that his fleet was fully repaired and provisioned in Rhodes. Inspired by his efforts and his holy cause, the local laborers worked through the nights and within a few days the entire fleet was ready to sail again and with fresh provisions graciously donated by the local Christian population. Their morale greatly buoyed by these acts, the sailors of the fleet put all they had into the sailing and resumed their fabulous performance after their initial departure from Constantinople. If their skill and luck holds, they will make landfall in Egypt next year.
The vast open sea was daunting to the crew of Vissarionas ek Lesvou's (Ramses II CP) fleet, but they persevered. Large waves tossed the ship and rumors of Egyptian fleets gave many men sleepless nights. Still, moderate progress was made and Egypt is closer this year than it was last. With a strong push next year, landfall may be possible.
Their morale increased by the previous year's friendly race, the sailors of Annios Solomon's (woad&fangs) fleet set a similarly steady pace this year. Good cheer reigned in all quarters, prompting competition between the various shifts to see which one could perform better. Unfortunately, this revelry reached a peak with a bawdy celebration of the winning team one night, resulting in several days of hangovers and seasickness. As such, their progress was good, but not as good as it could have been. Egypt is close, but barring an act of God, it will not be reached next year.
Efstathios Laskaris (Ibn-Khaldun) gave a rousing pep talk to his crew at the beginning of year, urging them to improve their performance, for once. The speech seemed to have the desired effect, though perhaps it was the subsequent flogging of a particularly lackadaisical sailor that had the greatest impact. Regardless, good progress was made this year, and Rhodes is finally well and truly behind them.
The men of Stavros ek Amarinthou's (Knights_of_Palma) fleet were also greatly cheered by the previous friendly race with Annios Solomon. Unfortunately, they did not find quite as productive an outlet for their high morale. Instead, several nights of drinking and wenching on Rhodes scattered the crew across the entire island. Stavros eventually had to ask the local militia to aid him in rounding up the wayward men, and nearly the entire year was lost trying to relocate the crew and restore discipline. They finally managed to set sail, but almost no progress was made towards reaching their destination. The passing of Stavros ek Amarinthou will not be forgotten by the locals, however, who are already expecting the birth of a slew of Crusader bastards.
The makeshift repairs that Methodios Tagaris' (Tristan de Castelreng) men performed the previous year held until they reached Rhodes, preventing total catastrophe. However, the damage was extensive and a long stay in port was required to prepare the ship for the open sea. The crew are now freshly provisioned and ready for the voyage, but they are the last to depart the island of Rhodes and the prospect of reaching Egypt before the Crusade finishes is looking increasingly slim.
----------
As a Crusader has now landed in Egypt, the garrisons of Alexandria and Cairo have been boosted to 10 units (not counting a family member in Cairo) according to the rules for the Event. If the AI insists on moving these garrisons each year, I may have to play the faction myself each turn to make sure they stay inside the cities until the Crusade is done.
At the start of 1119, an adoption has been offered for Ioannis Kantakouzinos and an Explorer's Guild is offered for Antioch. These scrolls remain up. A mission has also been given to blockade Gaza. Annios Solomon has scurvy and a couple new Pagan Magicians have popped up. A Turkish Jihad army was seen moving southwest from Yerevan. Two Egyptian Jihad armies are passing Aleppo. An Egyptian army has disembarked between Corinth and Athens. The HRE Crusade army is north of Antioch. A French Crusade army has entered Byzantine lands near Bucharest.
http://www.mizus.com/files/pbm/LOTR-1119-1.zip
I have tested it, and the AI insists on removing a large part of the Alexandria garrison next turn. I will therefore be forced to control Egypt next turn. I will continue doing so every turn that the AI reduces the garrison of either of those cities below 10 units, to ensure that the balance of the Crusade is maintained. This may mean that the Egyptian armies will temporarily move in slightly more logical manners than you would otherwise expect for the AI. I will evaluate whether further turns of control over Egypt will be necessary in future turns.
