I think it is easier for me to set up a new Royal Library. I have been waiting WH to return for too long. This means that current Library is out of date. Because I can't change posts and I don't want to bother TinCow with all this huge work of editing WH's posts then I will just post a new Royal Library. This way I can be sure that I can edit and change the data in it myself. I hope to get the new Library up and running before the next Council Session. If I'm not able then I at least post the current Influence and some other vital info. So don't be surprised if I don't answer to your PM's and question in the next couple of days. It's a lot of picture taking, uploading, cropping etc do be done!
My character has the trait Authades or something.. ive never seen that before!
I don't know how long you have to wait for someone to upload a new save (who is not the chancellor... that can take a while, at least it does for me :sweatdrop:), but I think the 3 hours he has had now should be more than enough. Still, I have sent a PM to remind him, so out of consideration that he might have just forgotten, you may wait a short while.Quote:

I'm going to have to withdraw from this. I have problems having two EB's installed (play on Steam) so I haven't been able to have a campaign while playing WoTB. I've been itching to get into that Pahlava game I keep promising myself. If it's OK with I-K I will continue play Lykikos as a nobleman based in Seleukeia, but I won't be able to move him or fight any battles.
No problem! Moving the avatar is not that important actually! I think that if you stay and help us in the Council Sessions, proposing Edicts and directing the fate of the Arche that way, is even more important.
it makes better sense this way anyway. Your character's fiasco in Judea would probably end up with him never seeing command ever again. I'm looking forward my characters eventual stop-by in Antioch to visit the council :D
Isn't it slightly ironic that I was the only person who wanted to fight the Ptolemaic army on the bridge yet my character is the one who will be labeled a coward...
Just a reminder.. Once TCV ends this turn it is time for a new Council Session.So this means that no one will take tha save before the new Chancellor declares it open!

Too right there, mate. It makes it more, how should I put it... authentic with different wills for the characters. I try to roleplay when I play a regular campaign as well, but this is easier and better IMO. :yes:

Indeed.. But you haven't posted the battle result. So.. OOC we know you have 6 but IC we can't be sure whether Lydikes have fought 2 or 3 battles. Also, since you are a Satrap then this doesn't matter that much actually. The powers of Satrap always overwrite the powers of the rank you had before.
I have to say that in the Library thread and Map Room section I will not create this map of EB like you can see the map of MTW2 in LotR. It's too much of a work! I will however create there the Current Extent of the Empire maps.

Also, if you have some friends who might be interested of this then talk to them(read: recruit them ~;) ). I think the game is currently in a stage where we have enough experiensed players who can help any of the newcomers. ~:)
Currently, if navarro fights the battle, then Chaotix' avatar will earn the battle points. It seems a little unfair to me so although it is not in the Rules then perhaps we can solve this problem like this: Battle Points will be divided between the avatars, if the avatar who is second in command will fight the battle.Quote:

No, if you already choose Theodoros then there's no need to recruit RBG's.
RBG's are recruitable generals (avatars), which in this mod only cost 1 mnai for the Arche, so it's easy to recruit a bunch of new characters for new players to choose from.

Ibn-Khaldun, I did not see the understrength army you spoke of, I'm guessing that TCV retrained them already during his term. And one more question, are you going to be doing your turn and event stuff at the beginning or end of the turn? (just so I don't get confused about what's goin' on, since it can sometimes take a long time to cycle through everyone)
Everybody, would you guys rather I do 24 or 48 hours between seasons? I'll usually take the save at around 0300 to 0500 GMT.
I guess I'm ok with 24 hours, though there might be occasions where I just won't get to it in that time, but that's fine... If I think I won't be able to take the save and move myself I might ask you to do that at the end of the turn...

i think it has sometihng to do with anti-aliasing being on, not sure though, i just prt scr the battle results screen, then i copy and pasted this into paint and uploaded it

@ Alerion, the Mada Asabara (Median med cav) and Arachosian skirmisher cav aren't likely to be easily retrainable where you are located. For the Medes, when I next take the save, I'll see if we have a settlement nearby that has a high enough regional barracks to retrain them, and I'll let you know where to send them for retraining. My suggestion is to use your cavalry as is, and development should be continuing, so eventually they will get retrained. The Arachosians are just from too far away to make retraining feasible right now (the closest places to recruit them are Aria and Margiane- near Baktra)
Actually, it is better if you replace them Merlinus with some other cavalry, Prodromoi or Asiatikoi Hippakontistai(you can get them from Karkathiokerta).
the arachosian are fine I guess... they haven't lost that many... and are missile cav
if possible it would be good to retrain the medians though... if not I'll have to make use of what I have

Hmm... I find a spelling error in the library. In the list of the Arche's children, Sarpedon's son is named "Giognetos", while under Sarpedon's personal post, he's called "Diognetos". I don't know which one is correct, though.

I also would like to bring out that as a new Strategos you have the chance to become a Satraps Aid. In this position Satrap will be your Lord and not Basileus. You can command the Satraps Army or govern some town if Satrap wants it. But most of all this is military position. the MotH scroll doesn't tell you the benefactor before you accept, but I accepted, and the family tree gives Andromachos Syriakos (I think...whichever Syriakos is the Persian Satrap) as the adopter.

I have a question:
Could we all agree on one tense and person in the council chambers? I mean, it's not a necessity but I don't think it would be a lot of trouble if we all agree to write present tense and 3rd person in there (or something else.. that's just an example)

i decided not to fight the battle as i was outnumbered outclassed and no doubt i'd have ended up out-manouevred, someone else has a battle to fight, forget the name though :wall:
