You are the MAYOR. You are a fat, incompetent, arse that holes up in your mayoral estate, ignoring most problems and letting your aides do things for you. You are generally hated among the plebians, but the fact that you hole up in that villa means that no one knows what you look like, and provides protection from attack. You're also mayor, you have lots of power
Gameplay-wise, you are a TOWNIE. You run this town, and hold the seat of power, but you are too useless to do much but take up space. And die. You can die.
During the day phase, you may argue with other players, vote in lynches, and role-play. Your vote is worth THREE votes, so use it well. During the night, you can't do anything but wait and see if you die. If you have any questions, please PM me, but try and make it during the day phase, or I might end up missing the night actions.
Remember that people are out to kill you. Your THREE votes can turn the tide of the lynch in a second, so you are a valuable target for the mafia. You are also the target of a few other characters, so watch your back! I don't recommend you reveal your THREE votes right in the beginning of the game, but as always, it is you choice. You role is broadcast to the whole town when you vote for someone to lynch, but you can always just ABSTAIN, and no one will know the difference.

Keep in mind that Beefy's guilt would mean Tratorix is guilty due to his "investigation"
If you're going to vote for Beefy, you may want to vote for Tratorix instead, who has yet to reveal the role PM. If Beefy is guilty his partner is Tratorix, not pevergreen. And there was also some funny business involving Taka pointing the "Finger of WIFOM" at Tratorix, claiming he was his mafia partner. Also keep in mind how ridiculous it would be to have two investigators.
I also note that Tratorix was right there as soon as the night result, which seemed to have been delayed, was posted.
Vote: Tratorix
I only have one vote so feel free to overrule me.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
pevergreen, Tratorix and Capt Blackadder haven't posted their role pm. We can ignore the captain I think, pevergreen has posted recently and perhaps Tratorix hasn't had a chance. None of the roles have an obvious edited look, but I don't think it would be too hard to fake one in this game. I would prefer to wait until pever and Tratorix have a chance to post their roles before voting.

You are GERALD THE REPORTER. You have much experience in butting into other's business, and you are very good at it. In fact, you often sneak into town hall simply to snoop around. Anything for the press!
Gameplay-wise, you are a DOCTOR/COP. You often check official files, and can determine the background of many characters, except the godfather, who hides it well. In addition to this, you also walk around town at night, snapping pictures of things at will. If you are able to catch a mafioso in the middle of, you will take a picture of the event, revealing him, the corpse of his victim, and scaring the wits out of yourself. You will then lock yourself up in your room, and never step foot on the streets at night again. You can still inspect the official files though.
During the day phase, you may argue with other players, vote in lynches, and role-play. During the night, you can either investigate ONE player to see their alignment, OR protect ONE player from attack. You cannot tell a GODFATHER from a TOWNIE, and can only have ONE SUCCESSFUL protection. That succesful protection will also reveal the role PM of the mafia caught in the act. Atheotes investigated myself, ATPG and Beskar. I investigated taka, ATPG, and Beefy. I claimed i investigated Captain Blackadder on the third night, but this was false. That night I protected ATPG hoping the mafia would attack him. I have the ability to successfully protect once, for those who didn't read my role pm. This would also reveal the attacker to me. I took a gamble, and it didn't pay off. I'm aware this will probably get me lynched now, but if the town has any chance of winning this in the endgame we can't proceed with false information.

My head says Tratorix, but my heart says pevergreen. I know this much; I'll have a happier ending this way, and congrats to the mafia for pulling my strings effectively.

If I had to pick a suspicious role pm I would go with DiY's. The Gameplay wise, you are doesn't fit and it is easy to imagine it as an anti-town role. AtPG's doesn't make much sense, destroy the factory and kill all the anti-town players, it does say it was a last minute role though so I'm not overly worried about it.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
The town had made it's the choice. Another dancing wonder would be put down this month, pevergreen.
Where was he?
A hastily organized search revealed nothing. An extensive one had found no clue of his whereabouts? Had he escaped?
Suddenly, a herd of sheep charged through the town bleating their heads off. The entire town rushed to the pasture where they grazed, and saw none other than pevergreen, completely lacking in clothing, rushing towards one absolutely terrified ewe.
They quickly pulled him away before he could do anything more, and began to prepare him for the execution. They had to wait for a few minutes, however, as no one would approach him in the state he was in. When he had calmed down, the mob quickly beat him to bloody bits, and began to take off for another night of stupors.
But they didn't count on DiY. Shivering, he gripped the trigger, and pushed with all his might. In an instant, he was no more, and was replaced with a raging inferno in the centre of the crowd, enveloping everyone in an instant.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
Tratorix wandered the streets nervously. The slightest sound would send him to the ground, utterly defeated by the situation around him. The snap of a twig, splash of a puddle, stab of a knife-
....
He quickly checked his body for any puncture wounds he might had missed. None. He continued on his way, camera gripped tightly in his hands.
As he slowly stepped over the potholes, he began to ponder the morbid predicament he was in. How did this happen? What was the motive? He did not know. In fact, he saw no real reason to embark on a killing spree like this. Apart from a total psychopath, who would do such a thing? And if it was a psychopath, why try and demolish the factory? Pausing for a moment, he briefly considered the possibility of multiple suspects, before shaking some sense into himself and continuing on his trek.
Meanwhile, in AtPGs caveside abode, Iskander's rotting body was slowly decomposing in the moist surroundings. The fact that it had been dragged out from the stream did not slow the process. The flies began to congregate in the eye socket, nestled in the warm, loose bedding that once formed his eye ball. AtPG himself was not there. He wasn't hungry anymore anyways. He was in town.
Beefy187 was also in town, for a similar, but less perverted reason. And also because he lived there. His cigarette was nearly burnt out, and his supply had run out. Grimacing, he decided not to risk a tobacco-free minute, and set off early to get some more.
To get to the shop (Which was closed, but there was no one around to care if it was broken in), he would need to pass by the carnage that littered the the town square. The podium had been blown to bits, the factory, while still standing, was in an unquestionably poor state, and the cobblestones had nearly all been drenched with bodily fluids. Blood being the most recent edition, mixing laughably badly with the urine and the remnants left of Captain Blackadder's cholera.
Seeing the destruction wreaked, he bristled his moustache, smirked at the waste of effort, and continued on his way to the shop, but not before picking up a loose brick.
The plinking of cement off the ground shot Tratorix's nerves. He dropped to the ground and started writhing. He was dead. He knew it. Best not to prolong it. He began to smash his head on the ground, but was stopped by a hand, wrenching his neck backwards, and bringing a knife to his throat. The killer smashed, chopped, and slashed him until his head was scarcely reminiscent of a person's, and a bit more like a deskinned tomato. A gleeful smile appeared on the killer's face, and he happily hopped off with the body.
But before he could make it back to his den, Beefy rushed up behind him, new cigarettes in hand, and tossed the brick, hitting AtPG square in the jaw. He dropped the body, and lay on the ground beside it.
"Go away! I'm just a hungry man, and this is my private hunting ground! I'll have you executed! Guards, fetch the goose! I'll see to it that you'll be locked up in prison, along with that dastardly elephant who keeps intruding on my yoga sessions, and maybe his cantaloupe buddy too!"
Beefy simply brought up another cigarette, and puffed it like a cigar. A bit of ash got into his moustache, and he shook it off uncomfortably. AtPG waited anxiously on the ground, bleeding from the mouth.
"Of course, ze only one left iz ze village idiot" He smirked.
"Village? Why, this is the grandest hamlet in all of Zimbabwe! How dare you speak of it like that!"
"Shut eet. Evidentally, you don't run zees place. You don't even live 'ere. Tell me, why 'ave you run down from zee 'ills?"
"I don't know what you're saying! Speak some Norwegian, dagnabbit, or I'll give you a beating!"
"Unlikely. 'Owever, I 'ave no real problem with you..... juzt.... go back to your 'ovel, and don't come down 'ere again. Zee new French enterprise 'ere in zee Midland will do well to not play host to mountain imbeziles. Go play in Birming'am. I 'ear zey almost 'ave a football team of you.... people"
"Oh, I'll go there alright! I'll go get the imperial guards, and then we'll see how much you Frogs like their flying machines and diamond cataphracts!"
And with that, AtPG ran off into the hills. Beefy simply sighed, and turned away as the explosions rocked the very foundations of the town, as AtPG, his cave, his meal, and his delusions were swept away in a monstrous landslide, permanently burying the last English countryman of the town.
But of course, the town was full of people again in the next month. And while they worked their bodies to the ground by day, and disintegrated their livers by night, Beefy was busy counting his money, snickering, smoking, and twirling his moustache.
Yeah, I Guess They're Winners

Welcome to my first mafia game at the .org! Before reading the rest of this PM, please note that
-Your role PM is in the second spoiler. Don't quote this stuff.
-I will not tell any sort of lie in this PM, although information may be withheld.
-I will announce roles in my write-ups, whether it be lynch or night kill. I will not announce WOGs, instead I will simply give someone else the role, if the WOG'd had one.
-I implore you to save any PMs I give you on your computer on Wordpad or something. I can't manage on my inbox for the summary.
-Oh, and take my various stereotypes in stride. It's all in good heart, and I would do the same to Canada, if people were interested in it.

You are THE CORRUPT MAYORIAL AIDE. You are an unbelievably unethical man, and will constantly overtax the workers, intimidate the newspapers, skim off the mayor's income, and take the change right out of a bum's hat. You get information by snooping around the mayor's census files, mayor's letters, and mayor's "companions". You believe the man is an unbelievable idiot, because he hasn't checked the new immigrants backgrounds in the slightest. But he is still innocent.
Gameplay wise, you are a COP. You have an extensive network of files that individuals, greatly more competent than the MAYOR, have filed, so you can check any of the residents of the town for suspicious activities. However, there are so many files, that it takes an immense time to find any one person's, and it slows you down quite a bit.
During the day phase, you may argue with other players, vote in lynches, and role-play. During the night, you can investigate ONE player to see their alignment. However, you cannot tell the GODFATHER from a regular TOWNIE. Devious fellow, he is. You can also investigate the same person TWICE, and come up with a full role PM. If you have any questions, please PM me, but try and make it during the day phase, or I might end up missing the night actions
However, you also have another mission on your agenda. You truly believe in this town, and you also believe the mayor will be the ruin of it, for good reason. For one, he steps out of his villa so little that you don't even know what he looks like! He is an absolute idiot, and the town will die with him in power. That is why, you, want to kill him. Of course, you can't kill him outright, but the citizens are pretty stupid, so you could probably convince them.
Objective(s)
-All Anti-town roles are dead.
-Outlast the MAYOR
-Survive

Congrats mafia, esp. Beefy. Well played. Congrats ATPG for making it to the end with THAT character. I knew we should have killed you early on. Enjoy your cave now. Beefy enjoy the town and your money.
Thanks AVSM this was a good game, congrats to you on your 1st (and I hope not last) game as host.
Thanks to all good game. :2thumbsup:

You know, I could have just abstained from killing and I would have been nightkill immune that round. But I decided I wanted to be greedy and go for it by myself. I went for Tratorix because I didn't believe the game had two investigators; I thought he was the mafia leader just pulling my leg. Besides, Beefy was pretty adamant he was innocent, and I feel bad about accusing him wrongly a few times.
Got 'im this time though. Shouldn't have let him talk me out of it.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
I think I need to explain something.
Both Beefy and AtPG tried to kill Tratorix. It didn't really matter who did it, so I had AtPG kill him. Since there were two people left, and both could kill, it was a weird situation. But it wasn't a tie, because AtPG didn't finish his victory conditions (Or rather, he didn't have enough time)
I'll try to find the PM I sent him.

You are TOMMY. You and your mate TODDY (Iskander 3.1) grew up together. You are the best of friends. Sort of. You're both impulsive arses as well, and have rather bad tempers.
Gameplay wise, you are a TOWNIE. You came to this town to eke out a living, and drink until you die of Cirrhosis, or alternatively, of Typhoid. Or hell, any other disease, it's all the same thing
During the day phase, you may argue with other players, vote in lynches, and role-play. During the night, you may repair the factory if you wish. If you have any questions, please PM me, but try and make it during the day phase, or I might end up missing the night actions.
Any vote by you will count as a vote by TODDY, and vice versa, seeing how you're both usually drunk beyond belief. The more coherent of the two is expected to speak for both, you know. If you'd prefer not to do this, simply change your vote to something else, and something random will happen. Totally random. Not chosen. You won't notice.
As a worker, you may attempt to repair the factory during the night phase. You could possibly perform a miracle, or actually make it worse. The larger the number of people attempting to fix it, the higher chance there will be of actual progress made.
Objective(s)
-All Anti-town roles are dead.

Remember me? Yeah, you do! Do you know? Well? Harumph.
-Crazy guy you met in the street. Later bit your ear.
These factories, take people's livelyhoods, force them into slums, and you get no profit off of it. A sixpence here, another there, and that's all you get. London, once the most beautiful cities of all, transformed into a sickly, grey, hell. It's long been given up, trying to curb expansion there. But in the country, it's a different story. The innocence of the grassy hills, all about to be destroyed by the machinery, belching smoke, bringing the disgusting swarms. It won' happen. Not while you're alive.
Factories, although physically imposing, are finicky. All the hard labour that must be done to maintain it provides an example of the sheer fragility of it all. A wooden block here, a shoe there, and the whole thing shuts down for a while. However, that won't destroy it, no sir. For that, you will need the really hard stuff. Gunpowder, and the likes. But first, you must scrounge it up.
To simply hinder the factory's production, you simply need to send a night order to me. This does 1 point of damage. If you are willing to spend the time (1 night of no action), you are able to set off an explosion (Which may or may not work), doing 5 points of damage to the structure, and possibly killing anyone making repairs.
Be warned though, a failed explosion (Or even a succesful one that doesn't kill a repairman) will alert the town to your identity.
Objective
-The factory is destroyed.

In case anyone was wondering, I was a neutral role up until I think it was the last two rounds. I could either kill or maintain my night protection. I wisely chose to maintain my night protection the first time; simply made the wrong choice second time.
I was hoping to defeat the mafia myself and share the win with the town, in case anyone cares. I failed you.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
hah... i was just playing up tratorix as lynch target hoping that the mafia would leave him alive as lynch bait and let him do his investigations... after DIY blew up things i thought the game was over... only if i had know you had a kill ability :wall:
if i hadnt been busy and away i wouldnt have been lynched for lurking... lesson learned for me. "post something even without reading to look active" :shame:
I planted couple traps. Some worked and some epically back fired.
Claiming pevergreens innocence was to make him look like a God Father. But my credibility increased when I turned out innocent on the investigation. So I was worried if the town was going to lynch someone else. Overall it worked.
Voting for DIrtY (Sorry. The host made me...) has also worked out in the final round..
I would like to thank taka and DIrtY for getting me this far. Cheers
Especially DIrtY for effectively taking out atheotes. Good call. You can now on graduate being a lowly member. I shall honour you with the highest rank possible.
Finally, thank you AVSM for hosting this. It was great fun :2thumbsup:

i think we should leave pevergreen alone - he always gets killed in the first rounds. if he survives to near the mid-end game, we can accuse him as being suspicious. i was hoping sasaki was playing so we could do the same but hes not :(
:laugh4: "pevergreens alive! LYNCH HIM HES MAFIA!"
Thankfully theres no tell tale sign of me being mafia. I can live or not.
If I ever happen to delete my role pm, don't lynch me, I'm critical to the town.

also want to thank beefy for picking me and DiY for being a great team member.
my plan to get tratorix kinda failed i guess :laugh4: i thought that since DiY had a "lower henchman" role, i would use it to try get trat lynched sicne he claimed to have a detective role.
i just wished i had internet at my place so i could have given more to it!

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
@beefy: Well, I attribute that to being able to read you in person. I'm terrible at finding mafia online, but in person its easy. And how many mafia sessions did we play, or card games etc.
This one, you defended me too much. I know your playstyle. Be more neutral, have no identifiers when being mafia. Draw no attention, defending draws attention, so don't unless you are claiming investigator.

Re: The Black Country (IN PLAY)
Ah, those things.
If I can remember well enough.....
A vigilante.
A paranoid investigator
A luddite (Beskar's role, ironically)
Blowing yourself up.
A townies without any real special ability could repair the factory. 7 in total, and 2 of those were luddites. The luddites wanted to destroy the factory, which I gave a hitpoint value of 15. They could attempt minor sabotage and deal 1 point of damage, or wait one turn and set off a bomb, which may or not work, for 5 damage, and also give a chance of killing anyone in the factory (Repairing, or sabotaging)
Of course, the mechanic was destroyed when White Eyes and Beskar (The two luddites) were targeted in the first round. I decided to give repairers and luddites some survivability by giving them a chance (1/6) of making it through a mafia attack if they were in the factory.
