I'm usually active in games where I have some sort of night activity to arrange (see Shadowfort). Vote Beskar for sophistry.

Interesting you didn't give the same answer when I questioned you about it earlier. You said you were too busy *with* Shadow Fort and nothing about how you are usually active or not. You didn't vote me then like you just did now, why the OMGUS vote?

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
vote: Beskar
Myself and Yaropolk were both rolebliocked on nights when there was a kill, AVSM and Captain B both contributed to getting atheotes lynched, while john cleared YLC and miotes.
Beskar, on the other hand, was roleblocked on a night with no kill, and is 'cleared' only by the way in which the intended victim survived. Perhaps there was a second doctor (after Chaotix), or maybe this Sergeant is nightkill immune, but has anyone actually claimed those abilities? If there is no-one to do so, then it would seem Beskar is far and away the most likely suspect.

I knew it was you Beskar. You know what to do people.

Erm... Beskar was also blocked in a night with a kill...

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Vote Beskar
The confirmed innocent cop saying so is enough for me and enough for anyone really.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
So the spooky spook investigated Beskar last night?
Vote: Beskar

Night Two had nothing at all to do with me. He was protected by somebody. A roleblock would have been TheFlax cutting them off from acting. But looks like another pointless wagon.

More to the point, I roleblocked you on N1 and there still was a kill, so it looks as either roleblock doesn't really help, since the other mafia members can kill instead, or you are cleared.
People, please think about this.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
I have an investigation result on Beskar. He is scum.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Okay, I read the rules and it appears you can... game over then.

Well that does change things, still I don't get why he bandwagoned atheotes.

I was surprised at that too, Cent's game, his rules I guess.

Because that's what we expect him to do.

Mafia distancing.
If you look back at the length of the first round, atheotes should have avoided the lynch anyway. Factor in my... change of heart, shall we say, and the mafia were never going to get through the whole town.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
atheotes attacked johnhughthom night 2.

Awww... I was looking forward to seeing Beskar's latest escape attempt. :sad3:
Anyhow, while I think of it, I must apologise to TM for getting him lynched. It was just process of elimination, but I should have realised how thin Beskar's defence before it was too late for you. :embarassed:

Nothing wrong in my defense, you faslely accused me, when it was atheotes who did the mentioned attack. Only one mafia could do any attacks at a time, I let atheotes do them, since I knew I would be metagamed round 1, etc.

Come on Beskar, I picked you rather randomly for N1 and decided with Secura what would happen if I roleblocked you round 2. Btw, since you were scum, it wasn't a bad call, although it was for the wrong reasons.

I would've been voting against you even without the roleblock thing, since everyone else had something factual to support their claims of innocence.
My mistake, with regards to TM's lynch, was figuring out too late that the roleblock could only be either (a) evidence of your guilt or (b) irrelevant.

During the second night, Flaxy and I discussed the day's events and he informed me about roleblocking you during the first night; I copied a portion of the writeup and said to him that the two mafia seemed to be arguing because one failed to send in orders. He and I both agreed that it was suspicious, and he asked if roleblocking you again was a good idea... I said it couldn't hurt to try and that he should go ahead and do so.
I don't know what orders he processed after that, but I take it that he didn't block you on the third night because Beefy was killed; with one mafia dead and me abstaining from killing, it couldn't have been anyone but the remaining mafia.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Ok game over then?
Final Write Up
Iago: Yes bring me the cracka gods next victim.
Romeo & Juliet: We choose you
Iago: Oh shoot. Unfortunately i will not accompany you all to the headsman's block.
With that Iago pulled out his nefarious parrot boomerang. He prepared to throw it at juliet but just in time romeo jumped in front of her. as he lay on the floor hurt from the uh wooden boomerangs killer power, Juliet leaned in for a kiss.
Romeo: Hey why is your chin so rough.
Juliet: I forgot to shave
Romeo: Wait what............
Juliet: Yeah dude i forgot to shave.
Romeo: Wait so your a man?
Juliet: Well duh there are no female actors now you now.
Romeo: Son of a *****
Iago watched the exchange with amusement until he felt an icy chill rushing through his veins. Feeling a sens eof foreboding he turned around slowly and there beheld the scepter of Steven sepilberg with an army of his dead assistants.
Iago: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steven: You betrayed me as only a commie can.
And with that Iago was taken to the pits of hell for his eternal torment. Living in a highly conservative capitalist society.
Dead: Beskar (Iago) Affiliation Scum
Town victory
Good game you guys sorry for the many delays throughout. Going to post a mini me version of a gh commentary soon.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Seems to be right out there now.
Edit: Oh, right then.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Once more, I fail. Nicely done John and rest of town.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Good Game, and a decent first time hosting Centurion1 - good luck on your next game.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Good game town...you got lucky with my lynch.
Thanks for hosting Centurion. Please consider fixed time lines in your next game.
Beskar was not active during the first night. He never responded to my PM and even in my orders i included a message to him saying that we can change targets if needed. Thats perhaps the reason why Centurion included the bit about one of the killers berating the other. by the way, Chaotix was a random choice.
For the second night, we considered removing Secura but felt John was most likely the investigator and decided to kill him. John, how did you survive?
After i got lynched...it was pretty much game over because Beskar was already being role-blocked.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Thanks to Cent for a fun game. :smiley2:
And well done to Beskar for putting up a noble fight against the odds.
But, most of all, congrats to miotas for nailing atheotes with that late vote, and thus turning the game in the innocents' favour. ~:thumb:

Not so, I had decided by that point that Beskar was innocent and moved to other targets for my roleblocks.

What's funny is that Beskar revealed to me that he was the final mafia after my own lynch, and he suggested that if he'd known I was a serial killer, he'd have worked with me to polish the town off... a shame that I went all goody-two-shoes and wanted the town to win.
It's ToM's fault, I can't do anything but apologise to the mafia. Good game nonetheless.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
TheFlax, was Juliet being played by you?
Also, I knew centurion1 would find an excuse to call me a commie.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia [In Play]
Yes yes i did beskie.
Ok so heres how it looked from the Hosts perspective. Beskar played a brilliant game if a little cutthroat. i mean he totally threw atheotes under the bus and as a result lost almost all of his suspicion early on. Second of all you guys i think looked a little to deeply into my write ups if there was a roleblock i flipped a coin. So for the two times beskar was roleblocked he got it once and and got the kill blocked once. Also you thought there was another protector i guess because the helmet was effective. In hindsight i will make write ups more revealing but its hard without giving away the answer.
Secura not being a murderous sk was a game changer for town i think you would have probably lost if she had actually being a psychopath like intended. she had the ability to alter vote once and kill once a night.
Finally flax was steven speilberg not juliet. Captain blackadder and YLC were romeo and juliet. i didnt decide that until late in game. Basically ylc defended cb all the time because i let them know who each other were. I stole that idea from Chaotix in Koopa when i was a vanilla townie who knew jooray. i thought it worked pretty well.
All in all im sorry for the delays in write ups but i had so much trouble picking a uni it was overwhelming.
Thanks for playing i hope it was mildly amusing

The game would have been so different if I had been killing too, yes. I think the only role that carried more weight in the game than my own was JHT's; a detective that can reveal his results after death... well, it speaks for itself. :3

I trust everything worked out with picking a university, though?
The game was enjoyable for me, even if I wasn't playing true-to-form; a shame I had to be revealed and lynched, but ultimately you win some, you lose some.

If Beskar was roleblocked and I submitted the kill order - the roleblock was still effective? :surprised:

well atheote si took a coin when one of you were roleblocked no matter who sent orders i assumed joint agreement and flipped a coin for failure or success.
