Why not?
I did that in Omanes mini mafia :shame:

When you had nothing to go on? When you had more chances of killing a townie, because nobody looked suspicious?
Come on, the vigilante here wouldn't do that. I hope.

Re-read the description of the attack. It is obvious I got attaced by a Heineken salesman = mafia. Mafia cannot attack another mafia. Never.

Shlin28: 5 (Andres, greaterkhaan, Sasaki, GeneralHankerchief, Omanes)

We all have stretches like that. Heck, I've survived only one mafia -- as a god -- and still lost that one and Dutch Guy was murdered on round one almost as a tradition for a while there.....it's all part of the game's charm. :cheesy:

True, but I sincerely doubt that a pro-townsperson would try selling dangerous beer to the their targets. Only the mafia kills in such a way.

You have to break the trend..
Make sure that it is not a good idea to kill you in the first round.
I also was killed in the first rounds in my early days and so was Discovery1.
Mafia should know by now that by killing Sigurd in the first round, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. :whip:

Sigh...another badnwagon on another guy. I know you guys are all saying im lurking and am scummy, but think of this. I barely post enough for me not to get Woged which I doubt mafia would do since that would attract attention. Also, if you guys look at my recent posts, in like the past month I made only around 50 posts, alot lower than what I used to do during school since I dont have even less time during the summer.
Edit: Okay I just counter and its like 72 posts in 30 days, a slight below 2.3 per day compared to my average of 4.52.

Actual data presented in your own defense -- exactly what bandwagon efforts are designed to elicit.
Kommo's research suggests that a moderate decrease in posts correlates fairly well with an active role -- but a halving of your post count would not. I got similar results with some of my scans using posts-per-page (my pages are set at 40).

True... but I got you and Kommodus lynched. The last mafioso Xiahou was just too good. And then you had Disco who couldn't be lynched. All hell was loose in that game.
This game is better coordinated. Speaking of the devil... shouldn't there be some results by now?

Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Night 5 over, Day 5 has begun
CA was emptying his letterbox when he found a strange green card in it. An obvious advertisement, but CA read it anyway and he liked it.
"Buy 6 6packs Heineken and you'll maybe win a trip to Alaska."
CA the iceman as he was sprinted off to the shops and got 6 6packs from a dust-gathering shelf. At home he got some warm cloths and he left the town while walking to the north.
He missed the word "maybe" in the advertisement.
Khaan was jogging in the park when he saw empty Heineken bottle. Not far further on he saw another one, and another one, and another one, and curious as he was he started following them. After about an hour he came to a small hut far outside Gah-village. He entered it, but behind him the door closed and was locked.
Khaan, knowing he couldn't get out, went to sleep and when he woke up he tried to open the door, and it worked, but ashamed as he was he didn't dare to return to Gah-village.

Tran is suspicious, but we should wait a bit before overcommitting ourselves to a wagon. Sometimes someone gets to many votes and then it's hard to get someone else lynched even if new evidence comes up.

In fact, you never know. Roles are not revealed upon dead.
We started the game with 3 original Heineken salesmen. One townie got converted. The converted player doesn't need to get lynched to ensure a town victory.
A least 1 (and probably 2) of the 3 original mafiosi is/are already dead.

thank you Andres for answering my question:2thumbsup:

Personally, I think Prole is acting a bit suspicious here. Look at her posts since the game started:
Quote:
Just got back from out of town, but I don't see anything that significant other than Sigurd's main four points.
Vote: Abstain for now..
Nothing that suspicious about this
Quote:
This is already difficult to follow. I think pevergreen's death should be considered, but over all, considering it wasn't an apparent Heineken man, it was prolly some other serial killer action or...
Nothing that suspicious.
Quote:
I agree, Warmaster. GH has been acting scummy through this whole thing, and Sasaki looks scummy whether he's the detective, beer man, game moderator, trash man, whatever role.
Lynch: GH
But I've...
She agrees with Warmaster and goes for GH, a patern will emerge here now.
Quote:
Check the replies total.
I have 6 posts, the same amount as you, Count.
Very defensive and quickly posted I believe even though she wasn't really targetted and it was just a random vote I believe
Quote:
Seamus has made the most sense here, if GH was innocent, he'dve been killed by now.
Unvote: GH
Vote: Roadkill
She now listens to Seamus and bandwagons on Roadkill even though she seemed pretty convinced about GH due to Warmaster earlier
Quote:
I said Seamus changed my mind. What he said about GH makes more sense than accusing GH of being mafia for a deadline-voting snafu. If I was mafia, I'd be trying very hard to get him or Sasaki lynched...
Again, very defensive about her voting record. More defensive than what most people would do
Yet another bandwagon without any reasons or even who she thought was the most convincing or what he did that was the most suspicious
Quote:

Very defensive again.
Of her posts after the game has started, she has not participated that much and is a lurker like me which by itself isnt that suspicious seeing as we got lots of stuff to do in real life, but her votes and the things that she does post are pretty bad. Of the 4 days, she bandwagoned 3 times and abstained the first time. Furthermore, she was extremely defensive and would post up an explanation any time someone thought that she was kinda suspicious.

Heheh. Guess when suspicion is casted upon me I should just thumb my nose and give no explanation.

You're feeling the vice grip around your beer sales, eh? Wasn't sure who it was until now, but things aren't looking good for your Heineken peddling.
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
It is okay for someone to defend themselves, but it gets suspicious when they are extremely aggressive in doing so, like offer a very well thought out explanation relatively quickly which implies that they were ready for someone to cast suspicion on them.
Furthermore, most of the time when suspicion was cast on you, it was mostly relatively arbtrary with nothing that big to back up the accusation which didnt amount to an aggressive defense.
Quote:
You're feeling the vice grip around your beer sales, eh? Wasn't sure who it was until now, but things aren't looking good for your Heineken peddling.
Again, I cast suspicion onto you and bam you're on the offensive accusing me of being mafia when you could've tried to offer better explanations.
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
She wasn't extremely defensive, that's a complete misrepresentation...furthurmore Xdeath, why did you bring out that case before the night was over?
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Night 6 is over, Day 6 has begun
Prole was drinking her tea when the doorbell ran, an Heineken salesman, but Prole knew how deal with this scum, she opened the door and said: "I'm sorry I have no time, now excuse me while I enjoy my Tieguanyin tea, something none of you beer swilling plebs could dream of affording." (thanks Prole, topquote)
Omanes was sleeping when he heard the noice of working outside. Thinking they were working on the road he went to sleep again. Half an hour later he woke up again and thought:
"What are they doing working on the road at 2 in the night?"
So he went outside to see what was going on. When he opened the door he didn't see a thing, all he could hear were the voices of an angry mob outside.
Omanes door was barricaded by crates of Heineken, his entire house was barricaded. He could count himself lucky, inside he was atleast safe of lynching, even tho he couldn't do anything himself.

He calls GH and GK the most suspicious, afterwards he says he doesn't believe GH is guilty and than he says he might vote GH. How about GK? Why was he suspicious? A rather odd post. In that post, you look like the helpful townie, but you aren't really taking a position. It is sort of evasive. It is too 'neutral'. In fact, I feel guilty for not having noticed that post at the beginning of the game. You would have been a good choice for an early lynch based on that post alone.
Here's another suspicious post:

Also, that previous lynch seemed like a really fast bandwagon. You should at least give someone a chance to say something or to see if they were even on the forums recently before bandwagoning on him. His last post on the forums was before day 3 has started, 2 days ago so he might just be busy in real life.

Here you defend Shlin28. At this stage of the game, I can tell you guys that we are 100 % sure Shlin28 was mafia. You pick a target that has been under pressure before: GH. The best choice to create a tie with Shlin, thus avoiding the lynch of a mafioso? Your buddy Tran came to help you, but unfortunately, the plan doesn't work.

Wow.....I can guarantee to you guys that I am innocent but there is probably no use anyways seeing as everyone already bandwagoned on me. If it will convince you guys that I am innocent, I will try to get you guys to lynch someone else.
So to Sitg, I will suicide
So there you guys, that should make me innocent to your eyes now, unless you wanna lynch the guy thats gonna kill himself...

Why is suicide somehow proof of innocence? I'm confused.

Stig, can we take it for granted that Xdeathfire will die at the end of this round, no matter what happens next and who will get lynched?
For instance, if we would all vote Beefy, will we have two dead players at the end of the round: Xdeath and Beefy?
If Xdeathfire would say, before the day ends: "ok, I'm not committing suicide anymore", would that keep him alive?
Imo, this would be a form of cheating. It would be fair if Xdeathfire can already considered dead by now. Does the host share my opinion?

i was gonna write up a massive post to defend my self but i cant be bothered. So ill make it nice and short.
Well firstly im innocent.
and second i just said if Xdeathfires suiciding i dont wanna waste my vote on the dead man.
I did think Xdeathfire was fishy but i just wanted to vote later just incase someone brings up new evidence.
So basically what im saying is.. If you really want to lynch me go ahead. but youll regret it.

Of these:
Andres and Prole may be presumed innocent as they were attacked but neither Heinekilled nor converted to the cause of that horrific non-stout (See Beefy above).
One of the remaining 5 must be an original H-seller.
One convert has been created. Likely converts could be Sasaki or GH (since their "high profile" status pretty well insures that they will have been investigated early and thus become good conversion targets since revisiting a name is rarely a good choice for a detective).
If we have 2 originals plus a convert, then XD suiciding would leave it a 3-3 tie and result in an immediate mafia win. Stig has not ruled on the suicide.
If we have 1 original and 1 convert (mathematically the most likely option), then XD suiciding leaves us with a 4-2 scenario.
Lynching a known innocent who was subsequently converted would be valuable in lengthening the game, but would not generate a win.
Each of the 5 unattacked players should post a set of reasons why they should not be considered a FoS as an H-seller/convert. Let us have a goodly statement that we can compare against your record and thus confirm your innocence.
-
Re: The incredible evil plot of the evil beersalesmen
Unvote: Xdeath
Vote: Beefy
I was investigated by the Detective (whose name I will not say) and found innocent. This was before the one conversion that took place.
As far as why I'm not the convert, I've been a target now since basically the second round. The salesmen wouldn't want to "kill" me, and I'd be a waste of an attempted conversion since I could easily get lynched at any time.
Personally I don't think this explanation is necessary since the game will almost surely be over with this dual lynch/suicide.
