Since officers are not susceptible to conversion, could that be affecting the scan?
Going to bed soon/now, I'll make a decision about a phase extension when I wake up. If you haven't weighed in yet, feel free to do so in public or in private.
So there's been some odd stuff in the past couple of pages, most notably the underpants gnome style plan apparently cooked up between Visorslash and ATPG. To clarify; yes, I was contacted by ATPG last night. Yes, I accepted his offer to pay him 6 gold in order to pull out of a vig attempt against me. No, I did not then cackle maniacally and reveal that I am French and that my teammates are, of course, Montmorency and Visorslash.
Moving on to something rather less silly, BSmith claims to have been roleblocked last night. He has come off as very townie both in public and in private as well as having apparently scanned as insusceptible to conversion, so I see no reason to doubt him. Retroactively this makes it very likely to my mind that Lissa was telling the truth about being blocked N1, which would make spaceman almost certainly scum. That puts jht in a rather interesting position, especially since his whereabouts last night is unverifiable.

I also feel like Csargo is on to something by cross-referencing who was unaccounted for on both the nights in question, but that can wait for another day.
Also, another thing Visor neglected to tell us, even after Flax was killed:
Flax was apparently a 3rd-party that could only meet its personal role-victory conditions if Flax became the Captain, became an officer, or convinced the Captain to sail to another port (not Nassau), resulting in a win for only himself and the Captain (?).
Now, that's already weird enough, but please recall that Visor cared so much about Flax that he was willing to spend 8 gold per vote-change to save him.
Weirder still is this post from early in the day, before there was any threat to Flax:
WTF? That sounds pretty ominous regarding a 3rd-party who apparently has no special abilities, no special merit as a player or in the larger game-situation, and clearly anti-town VC. At the time, I thought nothing of the post, as I figured Visor was planning to vig or block Flax that night, but in retrospect we see that this comment was made with the subtext of supporting Flax.Quote:

Double A and the officers need to step down. They need to resign publicly, or else we shall have to oust them with a mutiny.
Every player who wants to see this trio disenfranchised, or who at the very least eagerly waits for our Captain, dear Captain, to make some remarks on the situation, I urge you now to call on GH to extend the day.
Oh bugger off Monty.
You and the rest of the Org with your stupid lynch all third party policy.
You'd have lynched him straight out. He had 0% chance of winning - he even recognised that. You'd lynch him and pat yourselves on the back for lynching someone who was 100% non French.

Here is the extent of my conversations with Flax FWIW.
Now, I foresee people crying and whinging about me not revealing him, but you can all walk off the plank.
Never throw away a potential ally.
And some of you would know I've worked with third parties before and am highly against killing them.
Fact is, he had 0% chance of winning and I felt he could be of use.
Oh you want the captaincy/officers to resign now do you?
And fill them with unscanned people?
After spending hours complaining about us not being scanned?
Christ.
Bull. You know how much fondness I carry for third parties. My post had nothing to do with the simple 3rd-party nature of Flax, but rather the details of his role and your relation towards him.
Unbelievable.
As your own post shows, he "cannot win with town", and he had a "one-time" NK.
And if you were smart, you would have revealed everything about him at the beginning of the day, along with your plans for him, just to see how people would vote in response to that information. :wall:
Show me one post of mine.Quote:

No I bloody well wouldn't have!!
I GOT :daisy:ING LYNCHED D1 AFTER CLAIMING SURVIVOR TWO GAMES AGO ON HERE. IN THE FIRST HOUR AFTER THE GAME BEGAN. WHY THE :daisy: WOULD I REVEAL HIM.
I know what you're all like. You'd have sat back posted your obligatory one post per day voted Flax and patted yourself on the back.
Then when you all lose you'd say oh how come I didn't see this coming. And nothing bloody changes.
Yes, we'd lose because the one-time 3rd-party NK is so much more valuable than the information gained by watching people vote and studying their reasoning when presented with a one-time 3rd-party NK.
Edit: Goddamit Andres, why can't you be dead?
Skype logs - dc and AA can back this up

Nonsense. Zack would have immediately understood your position, as would I, and Pizza. I highly doubt Flax would have got more votes than he ended with if you had just revealed what you had when Zack prompted you.
You - tonight.
@Montmorency why are you asking me in private about my night activities? And threatening me if I don't answer? I'm not that easily intimidated.
If he hates you, it is because of what you did last day-phase.
And for the record, your comparison with the other game is a little off for three big reasons:
1. It was an 11-player game.
2. You claimed first-thing on D1.
3. You were lynched by 4 players.
Eh? I have only ever threatened you in public. Stop fluffing around.Quote:

El Oh El.
I can confirm that I pulled my vig action off of Ishmael deliberately.
I'm the one who set up the vig in the first place. I instead stole gold from the captain and gained some gold from Ishmael for bribing me to not vig him.
I neither confirm nor deny that I did it for the lulz / to infiltrate the French by getting them to suggest vig targets, which we would then wisely assume were probably townies, and/or have a French person contact me after Ishmael's death by lynch today and get the French outed via that route.
Now, before someone takes a big ole crap all over that idea, suck on sour grapes. It was worth a shot.
I spared Ishmael, the guy who was being brigged, so he would die today, and make me look like I was helping the French, so I could then turn around and piss in their stabbed backs.
That was the plan, I concocted it, I executed it, and I told Monty about it today when Double A borked his orders. It was supposed to only have 1 missing person in it.
With 2, that then implicates the Captain who was fully briefed on the plan, he has zero motive to pull his order, and didn't have to be one of the people in the vig group.
Used the Captain so it wouldn't waste too much of town's resources, allowing other vigs to succeed.
Monty and Golden1 are both visible in last night's attack on Ishmael which they would have assumed was to succeed otherwise.
That's the long and the short of it.
I accept full responsibility. I didn't have to. I could have blamed one of the guys I recruited, and suggested they were guilty and they pulled the order.
I was never going to do anything here except back up Double A, Monty, and Golden. I get Double A's mistake, it's sort of really in character for him.
Ishmael is French, you want to lynch him, do so.
I was fishing for French + French, not just 1 French. It was worth a shot and risks almost nothing. He's alive but brigged, so it makes zero difference.
If you would like to see the PM logs which led me to conclude that this idea was worth it, he's essentially a confessed scumbag in those PMs, without saying it explicitly.
Just post em.
Pizza, why would you need to "steal gold in order to appear as though Ishmael bribed you not to vig him", when you say that Ishmael was already bribing you anyway?
Ishmael will get his due, but y'all inexcusable.
...
Another reason to fear Andres' continued presence: his voting record.
On D3, he voted me - fair enough.
On D4, he voted Visor solo - :inquisitive:
On D5 (yesterday), he voted Golden with Ituralde - ~
Today, he is voting Golden again, and again with no reasoning.
Whatever the case with the leadership, this guy needs to be vernichten like an unattended baby carriage at the Eiffel Tower.
Not being part of that vig meant I wanted a third person to be able to verify my whereabouts.
So far, I've been able to have Ituralde, NotJimRV, and now the Captain all be able to verify that I know how much was stolen from them.
I'm leaving a pattern of thefts all over the ship, never hitting the same place twice.
If I'm not in a group, this is pretty strong evidence, the strongest kind that doesn't appear in a writeup, of where I am.
I could have joined another vig group or protect group, but, that would kind of give away the con.
Why would I join two groups?
It wouldn't persuade any French person that I had actually sabotaged the one group for them if they got wind of it.
