I'll fiddle with the cfg this evening when I get home, though I can't generate the save because I don't have the age mod.
Also, Tristan, did you make the cfg file READ ONLY after you altered it? I think that is critical or it won't work; the game will simply write over the cfg changes and they won't stick.
See this thread which gives the same info I gave above.
The age mod is only needed on start up I believe. But I can upload the correponding file to be added in the mod exe just to be sure.
EDIT : TC, my cfg file was read only... beats me...
Can we please ask Factionheir?
The guy is a guru on this stuff and it would be a shame for him to be able to check and solve it quickly.
I'm sure he would help for old times sake.
Tested it in M2TW vanilla with the code I posted above and it worked fine. Hotseat enabled, defenive battles can be fought on the battle map, and the camera follows all AI movement. I couldn't get it to work with LTC, but I think that's because there's something wrong with my LTC installation since I couldn't even select multiple factions at all in LTC. I will reinstall and see if that fixes it. In any case, that's evidence right there that the code I posted is the correct one.
No worries Tristan. We appreciate the work you're doing for us. :2thumbsup:
Yes, I did... I may not be the pinnacle of modders but there are a few things I can do and do right ;)
@TC : there is nothing with you install, I think... The code you provided is for M2TW while LTC requires Kingdom which had already incorporated into its code the possibility of hotseat...
The only thing required is adding the line
in the hotseat section of the cfg fileCode:playable = true
For all I know FH abhors Kingdoms (for Securom) and doesn't have it installed... But I may be wrong...
FH, feel free to jump in at any moment... and prove me wrong...
As for the rest, I'll be damned but I've tried several different settings and I always get the same result...
One thing I noticed is that the Kingdoms expansion have a hotseat launching option in the multiplayer section but as before we can't see the AI moves unless they are in a portion of map where the fog of war is gone (spies/ watchtowers, etc...)
LTC though using Kingdoms doesn't have that option...
Sorry for the multiple posts, but if I think they are required for the updates they bring...
I found a workaround about seeing the AI moves :2thumbsup:
It requires only for the Seneschal to access te console and toggle fow off before hitting end turn... then toggle it back on on the start-screen of France.
Will see if I can get the defensive battles to work...
EDIT : can't seem to get them to work wheher I mod the cfg file to have
Code:autoresolve_battles = 0 or autoresolve_battles = 1
You wanted it...
You yearned for it...
You cried for it...
You prayed for it...

And here it is : the first KotF save
Get ready to roll :charge:
This save has France in a trade agreement with England and a bonus of 2000 fl. from granting it to them as a generous offer, 45 RGBs and one offer of adoption for Prince Louis and France is the strongest faction (though mainly thanks to the RGBs). Prince Louis and Raymond de Provence have both acquired a Pagan Magician (-2 Piety)
Some of those RGBs are born fighters (3 or 4 command stars).
thanks for the effort, Tristan. Good work. Now get started, ye muggshotters :whip:
So what's the installation situation?
Great the saves there but I've only installed MTWII and Kingdoms without anything further.
I've sent Rowan the age mod file to add it to the KotF mod.
until then you can already install the KotF 1.3 mod that Rowan uploaded earlier.
That should enable you to get a look at the save.
Did you figure out the hotseat issue?
Yes, it was related to the following line :
Code:turns = false
It's borken for me too.
I'm going to wait for the official thread before I do anything further.
Call me paranoid but a straight forward correctly linked thread with everything there and in the correct order is necessary for me.
This kind of thread formatting worked very well in LotR. All necessary info was in one place, easily accessible, and didn't overload the forum with stickies. I recommend it highly.
Already planning on it.
The voices in my head are telling me to make another list:
Things we need to get to character selection:
1. Save
2. KotF Mod (Decision on age mod can be postponed but should happen soon)
3. Pics of avatars (Not possible until KotF mod is available to TF and OK)
4. Draft list (Based on voting activity in LotR? I'm assuming this is the responsibility of Zim or his designate)
The "Installation Instruction" post is exactly what I'm talking about.
We've got 20 plus dudes, or maybe a few of you are dudette's and we just don't know, installing a multi software package.
Someone with fluff it even with clear instructions. If that person gets the save, does something, and then loads it up we could experience what I call a "show stopper".
I like to avoid "show stoppers" :balloon2:
:egypt::egypt::egypt:
I'm still interested in how to write with a French accent.
No "h's", and "th's" are 's's'.
You can cross off #2. We have the age mod working (at 50-80 range, average same as vanilla at 60) and everything else modwise. Or you could keep it since we still might be getting that installer with the age mod added...
I do have an activity list, although I'll need to add a couple people that joined since. I was thinking of going off of that or randomly.
I can get the different mod files for you individually, but I don't have his installer, either...
I do have the installer but seeing how people are afraid I'm loath to upload it anew and would prefer that rowan post the new one.
Unless people specifically want this one...
Adn , AG, there shouldn't be any "show stopper" if you installed this version as the next one would replace the same exact files and add one (age mod)
Well, could you email it to me as an attachment perhaps? I just need it to start taking pics.
