I see.
unsing unsong: JHT
I have been slightly more active these days.
Why are we lynching me now? And why are we lynching, and not singing? The mafia know who is town, and we don't. If we reveal a townie and they kill them, what's the difference between that and a normal night?
Fine. Unvote, Sing Song: AVSM. I encourage everyone else to follow.
If you're innocent, you're dead. If you're guilty, you're dead. The advantage is that the guilty parties have to kill confirmed innocents instead of potential suspects.
Uh, fellows?
1. Sing song means we reveal a townie who is then promptly dead by the mafia.
2. Sing song means we reveal a mafia and THEY LIVE.
3. Sing song has a chance of failure to reveal the mafia.
4. AND THEY LIVE.
5. Lynch would be necessary when attacking the mafia anyway. You want to waste two rounds on one scum?
6. Lynch prevents the scum from doing a murder if the game gets down to the final rounds. Sing song lets them do another kill and possibly win.
Anyone on the same page as me, or am I just speaking out of my butt?
It is probably better to save the direct lynch votes for later Pizza.
Singsong: AVSM
Okay, but with my objections. I believe this is bad strategy.
unvote, Singsong: AVSM
I'm fine with you voting for a sing-song rather than a lynch, but I do have to question your reasoning; surely we'd rather someone who looks scummy died, and thus was removed from our suspicions, than someone who was confirmed to be a townie?
I know who I'd rather trust.
Sorry if I was unclear with that. What I mean is:
-General mafia strategy is to kill people who look innocent, leaving those who look guilty alive for later.
-The less confirmed innocents, the more potential suspects we have, obviously.
-The mafia are obviously not going to kill themselves.
Therefore, we can extrapolate that:
-If we confirm innocents, the mafia are forced to kill those innocents, leaving them no opportunity to frame people.
-The list of suspects shrinks as we confirm innocents, whether they live or not. The mafia begin to stand out.
-We never have to lynch a townie. The mafia have to do it themselves.
However, I was unaware that the sing-song can fail. (In fact, I thought it was explicit that it couldn't fail, but I could be remembering that wrong).
If there's a chance of failure, this is immediately a bad idea and I agree with ATPG.
I agree there is one potential usage of the move, which is to have a chance at confirming suspects as innocent, giving the mafia a more predictable target.
There are reasons why this is a good move that some of you are already aware of. I am just not sure if that's the strongest move.
Also, on the failure thing, it doesn't matter. Say a Mafia is sing-songed and then they appear as a musician in the sing-song. That night we will expect them to die, and if they do not we gain ourselves a lynch target. This in turn will perhaps force the Mafia to not target these innocents in an attempt to frame them. If you get what I'm trying to articulate.
Yes, but there's always WIFOM options in every situation, so that's not unusual. But yeah we can try that or fake trying it.

Give me the little mermaid Ariel singing "Part of your world" please. *fingers crossed*
By the way, Ariel was probably the first lady I ever fell in love with. She was awesome. But now she must die.
Yeah Ariel was fine, second hottest cartoon character ever. Betty Rubble will never be beaten.
:clown:
Jessica Rabbit is obviously superior.
Jessica Rabbit is a close second, based solely on pure sultry, but Ariel will always have my heart.
We lynched Kurt Cobain? NOOOOOOOOOO
Wasn't a lynch, just a Sing-Song.
Which just shows that if we do go with the theory that the confirmed innocent isn't dead on the night after, that it is unhelpful, we will want to lynch them but if its a trap set up by the mafia we may end up killing more townies.
As suspects decrease so do the players, if mafia act casually I don't it will be easier than usual to pick them out, another point which shows the sing song doesn't really help when mafia hunting. To be fair lynching has the same problems though, I just don't see a large advantage with either.
Although mafia may be willing to sing song anyone whereas they may want to lynch specific players, meaning voting patterns could help if we lynched more than sing songing.
This thread is clearly lacking in Princess Jasmine. :laugh4:
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame end of night two.
Jeff was walking back to his room to sleep after a tough day trying to decide who the evil imposters where. As he opened the door to his room he heard a giggle behind him. Two girls, one blonde the other dark haired, stood in the corridor. "Hey, he's cute. Can we keep him?" "Don't be silly. Now, hocus pocus silly old ghost. Now you're dead, now you're toast." With that Jeff disappeared, gone forever due to the evil of Disney mafia.
Jeff Buckley (Secura) is dead.
Freddie was loving his new toy, an iphone with dozens of aps preloaded. He called his old friend Elton John but there was no answer. As he played with the features he got a text message with an internet link, something told him this was very, very wrong but Freddie loved to live life on the edge. He clicked the link. "NOOOO!!"
Freddie Mercury (Renata) has been rick-rolled to death.

As Syd Barrett and the rest of Pink Floyd performed an old classic the ten remaining players had 24 hours to decide on a course of action.
Awesome, I actually get a decent role that I actively want to play and I'm ******* dead. -_-'
I'm going to go back and read through both my own and Renata's posts; I think we were killed for starting to hit the nail on the head. I've got claimed roles for most players, need to see what correlates and what does not.
