Requests to Host Games

If I remember correctly from the internal discussions we had before implementing the calendar system, the idea was to combat precisely what was happening now: Games that dragged wouldn't hold up the queue. I believe we reasoned that the games that leaked over into the next month would either be near completion or suspended by the mods/host because of inactivity. This would allow new games to continue to run while preventing stagnation (for example, imagine how bad the holdup would have been if there were no calendar - we'd still be on Pizza's and classical's games).

Furthermore, a lot of times, hosts only have a limited time window in which they can host their games before RL becomes too much of a crush or something. Without a calendar, you'd basically have to do a lot of rough guesswork and just pray that it's your turn to host when you actually have enough time to devote to the game. A calendar allows for more precision in this regard.

My dear Askthepizzaguy, there is a free spot for a Large Mafia Game in December, I'd like to book it for El Barto's Vanilla Mafia, a rather simple affair. Large game, I'll adjust roles depending on the amount of players I can get. I promise no jesters.

Note: I cannot in any way move it forward, December's as early as I can host it, due to exams and other RL schtuff.

January should work just fine.

If possible, could you move my large game to February, and chuck a small game on the queue (will host in a few weeks, anyone else can go before me), called 'The Expedition', based on Skyrim.

For that matter, my large game will have to be postponed indefinitely.

Not the Saarthal Expedition. It is based in the same timeframe as the game though. It will have Draugr, Vampires, Daedric influences, etc, and a couple of interesting mechanics I would like to test out.

Sign me up for a small mafia and a large mafia, whenever a slot opens up.

There are no small games in the queue, and I won't be hosting for a few weeks yet, so start em up.

The next Large game is Ignoramus and his game, and Jarema needs players for his game.

As such, I won't be hosting yet.

If and when Jarema and Ignoramus have enough players for their games, I will begin a small mafia.

I am versed with strategy games, and with OLD rpg games - the newest one I played was Baldur's Gate.
I play mostly civilization, heroes of might and magic, age of wanders, europe universalis, panzer general series, master of Orion, total war, Fallout tactics, and more more more. So, my knowledge of computer games is biased.

I'd like to request the June '13 spot to host a Huge mafia game - "Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table". Have some good ideas if I can get the players (would advertise well in advance).

But its just so similar! see this post - I appreciate the go-ahead though, but I wanted to double check first because I'll run it with either 8, 9 or 10 players.
