Morning all.

A vote was held in the Watchtower, the ballots were counted, and ZainDustin is now the Arcade Manager.

ZD will organize tournaments, do some maintenance work with scores, and generally help to spark interest in the arcade.

So, offer any suggestions to ZD, try to help out, and most of all just play and have fun. :bow:

Of course all posts and threads in The Frontroom pertaining to the arcade fall under the rules of BKS's Kingdom of Peace and Love and BKS and I will moderate content as before.

Please continue to use this thread for all arcade posts.

Hey everyone!

I am so happy to be in the chair I'm in today. I'd like to thank the public for supporting my votes (although five people voted no... :angry:) :laugh4:. I have a few ideas :idea2:. My first order of business is to set up 5 tournaments from the 5 most popular games in the Arcade. As I see it, the most popular games are Tetris, Snake, Asteroids, Typing Test, and Arkanoid. So, if you would like to participate in these tournaments, just PM ZainDustin, and I will add you to my list. Once I receive 8 participants for a certain Tournament, I will start it, and PM you so that you know that you need to start playing the game(s) you signed up for. I'll have you all know that I have signed up for all 5 tournaments already, so there are 7 more open slots per game.

Zalmoxis has informed me that he would like to participate in the Snake tournament. So we have 6 open spots there, and 7 more in the other four tournaments. Come on people!

Simply it's a tournament between many people to play to see who's the best at the game.

It's set up so that 8, 4, or 2 people sign up for the tournament. Then a map (the way graphs work, so that people get eliminated every round, and it simplifies down to two people.) You play the game three times, and the best score is the one used. If your score is better then the person you're paired up with, they get eliminated and you go on to the next round.

It's a tournament, plain and simple.

On average I just score somewhat over 1000 points.
