I have a large interest in all things Roman....especially mid-to-late Republican and early Imperial. I also have an interest in ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, medieval Europe (with a focus on England from the fall of the Roman control onward), and World War 2.
That's enough for now. Got to get back to work before the bosses get back from their errands and notice me missing. Will be back in for a Guinness for two later after work.

Well, the NFL did start this past weekend and I couldn't be happier. Although it will be taking me away from EB and homework a bit. This is a glorious sport that involves much more strategy than some people might think, well at least a bit of play recognition before the snap. A proper sport in my eyes. No matter the case, the NFL is back in season and it's time for drinking and barbequing on Sunday! I'm stoked!
By the way, anyone see what happeded to the Bills player? The life-threatening spinal injury. Well, if you heard about it and haven't been following it, i read on Foxnews.com that doctors think he may recover. First diagnosis was paralysis and potential death, and now they are reporting that he is moving voluntarily in his hospital bed. That was the last I heard and it is great news. No one wants to see an athlete go out like that.

Although I don't follow sport of any kind much myself, I have to say I've seen more English fights than anything else.
My Irish brother went to a game of some kind with his mates in England, and found that one group of supporters was throwing darts at the opposing side's followers.

Well i'm yet another aussie, studying International Relations at the University of Tasmania (contradiction in terms I know). I have had RTW since it came out and used to hang around a lot at rtw.heavengames.com but moved on for a while to other games (World of Warcrack) but I downloaded EB when I discovered it had made progress.
EB is in internet slang, FTW!!!.

As an honest non-supporter of any recreational sports, dedicated only to arts, and one who finds the taste of alcohol sickening, I have to tell you Horst Nordfink of Ireland, no I don't.
Well, in Portugal we have all sorts of hooligan stories as well (tough I've only seen the one I mentioned) now, I can't tell this on a dry mouth.
Bartender, pour me a Minion (wow the first time the word minion is pronounced in the forums!) ASAP!
Now, in Portugal it seems whenever a club wins the championship there is a fight especially with the members of the "Super Dragões" (Super Dragons). Really when Benfica won, they threw rocks at the Benfica suporters. Last year it appeard there were no other supporters from other clubs to fight so they fought eachother (4 people went to the hospital!) It still isn't nearly as bad as Italy but those guys are suspected of involvement in every kind of robbery Drugs/weapons traffic and other assorted crimes. It's sad really.
