Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Actually I have one comment:
I said I wanted Ansehelm to quietly sit through this Catastrophe, so I'm not happy with you guys making him center of attention, I clearly disagreed with all this. Make Arnold center of attention, or Lothar, Tincow and Aussie voted yes in the poll. I didn't.
And I'm very pissed

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
No offense Stig, but the content of your Diet posts kind of defeat that purpose.

Well yeah, people force me to be active because of all this, if I ignore Jan look what happens. While I said in advance that I want Ansehelm to sit in Magdeburg while you play your game.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Ansehelm is Duke though, and if people in your house are involved, its difficult to ignore the one who should be in charge.
Got save btw

Ansehelm has been marching straight west ever since I took over. He can stop at Magdeburg if you want.
Sorry if you are pissed off, but in the draft plot that Ituradle, TinCow and I are working to, Ansehelm was never mentioned once. That you perceive him to be the centre of this is not what we planned.
If you really want to sit this out, I suggest that you make Fritz Steward of Franconia for the next 18 turns. There's no point continuing in this vein if it is just getting you angry OOC.

Actually Jan was quite meek and supportive of Ansehelm during the Diet. He has only spoken up now because Ansehelm insists on blaming the Steward and Kaiser for Peter going missing. Check the old Diet pages and you'll see that Jan even defended Ansehelm against Dassel.
*edit*
I'm sorry if any of that interaction made you the center of attention when you didn't want it. I was just reacting and interacting with you IC. :embarassed:

I know, but if I think of something to affect the entire Reich, and someone says he would rather not be involved, I would make sure he can in no way be involved.

I'm still here. I said I want Ansehelm to sit it out.
Just you guys make sure from now on not to blame Ansehelm (which Elberhard keeps on doing), as I said I don't want him involved in this, so don't involve him in it.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Battle fought and won. Mini report to follow.
Odds: 4:5
Result: Heroic Victory
Prisoners: N/A
Screens:
Hans gained: +1 Noctophilia, +1 GoodAttacker, +1 GoodCommander, +1 BattleDread. And finally rid of "the Mean". He's now "the Mauler" :grin2:

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Stig,
While OOC we know that Peter missing is because of our "plot", we don't know that IC. It is natural to blame the person we perceive to be responsible. Which in this case, is Peter's Duke. I don't want to stop interacting with you IC so we need to figure out how to go about this. When we blame Ansehelm, we are just playing a role. It's nothing to do with you and nothing against you. I know you the player have nothing to do with it. So please understand that if you continue to keep playing Peter's Duke, we are going to come to you with questions about Peter. It's only natural. Unless we work something else out. Maybe you and Econ can think of something and get back to us.
I know stuff is getting heated IC but I want to do my part to keep the OOC all ~:grouphug:
*edit*
Nevermind, I saw you just said you want Ansehelm to sit this out. Sorry for missing that. :embarassed:

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I know it has been posted on the forums before, but I'm feeling lazy right now, so could anyone guide me step by step on how to actually see the screen shots?

NN, I'm afraid I am going to have to insist that you leave any nuclear missles that you found, back in Outremer. Don't make me get Elberhard to do a cavity search on Zirn...
And FH, have I ever mentioned that it is absolutely freaky with regards to how good you are with battles? :2thumbsup:

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Nah, I had a slightly elevated ground (village) I was charging against them from at the start, and their formation was perfectly set up for me to charge from melee without having to break and reform too much.
Battle report is up btw.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
looks like ive stirred up a ruckus - and thanks econ or whoever for the extra PM space. i think im gonna need it.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I think you guys misunderstood. I mean that after I take the screenshots in the game, I can't seem to find the screenshots, to look at.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
There is your .tgas file that all the screenshots go to from the game if you cannot find search for it *tgas it should be in the MTW folder mine never worked properly so I use the following and found it very easy to use.
http://www.howiesfunware.com/install...%20Capture.exe

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I have installed it, but I dont understand how it works. Do I have to be running the program then press prnt scrn, or what?
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
i press prnt scrn, pause the game, and save em into paint.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Roadkill this is what I wrote about screenshots in the "How does one PBM?" sticky:

Once you've browsed to your jpg and clicked "host it", imageshack will take you to a list of various links you can copy into your post. I find the one they list as "hotlink for forums (2)" works fine, so just cut and paste that link into Org post and you are done.
It sounds intimidating, but you will soon get the hang of it.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I second the FRAPS recommendation. Once you set it up, you just press F10 whenever you want. 'Course, you have open paint and resave as a .jpg if you went them to fit.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I need a rules clarification: Should be announcing 1304 battle results in the Diet now? Since the event takes place in 1304 and we're still in 1302.
...Or does the Chancellor's report signify the *end* of the turn now? I'm a little confused.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Sorry - we are in 1304 now, both IC and OOC. The posting of the Chancellor's report signifies the start of a new year.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
So when you posted the Chancellors report for 1302 that meant we were in 1304? Got it.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Sorry to double post, but when I had I save I was messing around a bit and forgot to undo things. It's nothing major, I just had Tancred and Peter moving to Constantinople. So if you see that it's not a plot point from econ but Cecil tinkering with things.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
you changed stuff around in the save? so, should I take it or take the one before? o_O
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
It's perfectly fine to take. In fact, you can undo it by moving Peter and Tancred out of their respective stacks and and back in again.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
I'll take the save now, if that's all right.
-
Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
Oh so their stacks had already used their full move points but you set up destination arrows? Cool. Maybe I'll set the arrows to point somewhere interesting and hope no one notices. ^_^
*still don't have save yet cuz I stayed late at school*
*edit*
Yeah, Ig it's cool. I'm not home yet.

Re: King of the Romans Out of Character thread XIII
69 v 621? Looks like someone felt the need to show off...
