It was a cloudless night, so the moon illuminated the whole arena. It was very easy to see the Huge, four armed monster Kintaro, being lead away by the officials following by a comparatively slender Liu Kang. Shao Kahn watched them go and was very confident that the victory would go to his lieutenant.

Morning 3

The Sun Rose above the distant mountains and Liu Kang put together his hands and bowed his head. With a silent prayer, he asked the gods for strength for his fight. Kintaro unlike his opponent was very vocal and raise all four arms into the air with a Roar. Shao Kahn surveyed the fighters and yelled out “Fight”

Liu Kang Lauched a kick that looked like he was flying threw the air, the speed of such a kick caught Kintaro by surprise and he went down with a thud.

Kintaro picked himself up and Liu Kang launched another flying kick right at him, But Kintaro this time was ready for it and easily blocked it that attack then he jumped into the air landing right on top of Liu Kang. Kintaro jumped up and down on Liu Kang for good measure.

Liu Kang was dazed and clearly winded. There was nothing he could do to stop the next attack, which hit him hard and launched him high into the air.

The crowd grasped, As Liu Kang got to his feet again, for the crowd were sure that he had been defeated. But Liu Kang was never going to give up. Kintaro came marching towards Liu kang but he flipped over the top and launched a fireball from his hands.

Kintaro blocked it but the fireball was just a ruse, Liu Kang Jumped into the air and let loose a series of kicks that caused Kintaro to stager back from the numerous blows. The Crowd cheered for it was Liu Kang’s famous Bicycle Kick.

Liu Kang flew through the air once more but Kintaro caught Liu Kang By the leg and swung him into the ground with brutally force.

Kintaro breathed out fire from his mouth and sent a fireball directly into Liu Kang’s body extinguished his last breath of life.

Kintaro Wins !!! And receives his share of the battle spoils, 360 Mana. The remaining member of Fatality! receives 360 Mana.

Mileena will have the Arena choice.” Shao Kahn continued, “Now we will have to choose the next contestants for tomorrow’s battle.”

i think the logical next fight is shang tsung vs baraka. neither has fought yet.

i would also like to bring up the subject of starting investigations. there are 9 of us left. If there were 4 marks to begin with, then the game ends when there are 5 people left (assuming we dont get any marks).

Mileena and Kitana cannot send out mana since they're scheduled to fight. If the remaining 7 people sacrifice 215 mana each, we can purchase one investigation. I'll try to be nicer about it this time. I was a bit aggressive last time. Same offer still stands - selection of investigation target by popular vote and pledge to return all unused mana. Beskar can confirm I stood by my promise last time.

If you dont feel comfortable with me then Raiden is another confirmed innocent who could do this, although I am probably a tougher nut to crack for marks. What do you guys think?

I agree, Shang Tsung and Baraka should fight, they are the only ones who have not fought and are not about to fight.

215 mana seems fair to give you- it's a much smaller bit of the total mana we have now than it was a few updates ago.

And sprig, it's Morning 3, not Evening 0. For that matter, the last two evening updates have had the wrong number listed for the update, too. :inquisitive:

It was time for the evening combatants to prepare for the fight. Kitana and Mileena were lead away by the officials without any drama or so everyone thought, Mileena suddenly grabbed Kitana from being in whispered something into her ear. Afterwards Kitana looked a little paler than usual, whether Mileena did something or Kitana just was afraid of the upcoming battle none could tell.

Shao Kahn on the other hand did not see the events unfold. He was busy trying to pin down the outworld gods that had for the last few day manage to avoid being summoned. Kahn was quite sure that come evening he should be able to pin one of them down.

GM Comment: There seems to be some confusion about actual mana and visible mana
Your Visible Mana (on post #2) is the total of all mana gained each morning plus Battle spoils and betting. Aka this is all the actions that happen publicly.
Your Actual Mana takes into account all the covert action that you may do. Such as gifting mana, buying items and using abilities. If you are unable to work out what your actual mana is I can pm you the total. Typically I should be pm’ing you the new total any time you perform one of the covert actions.

Also with regards to battle, being the second person voted in means you will gain “Arena Advantage”, this works as a tie breaker should the damage you perform to each other be equal and you have not acquired a stamina potion.

I have some suspicion of Kitana as well, but, she is my teammate, and someone has to bet on both sides for anyone to win anything.

I am so :daisy:ed in this fight, so the sentiments regarding my status as a mark will come to light with my death.

Evening 3

The sun started to set and the crowd wondered to the next arena which was set in the forest. It was a rather fitting setting as both Kitana and Mileena played here together as children. Now, this once childhood playground would see blood as the two girls battle it out.

Mileena was clearly the crowd favourite despite only two contestants placing bets on the fight. Both Fighters eyed up each other waiting for the word to start the match. Shao Kahn cleared his throat and announced “Fight!”

Kitana took out her Fan and threw it at Mileena. Mileena did likewise with her Sais. Both projectiles hit their target.

Both reeled back from the hit but Mileena recouvered faster and ran straight at Kitana. At the last second she tucked into a ball and took out Kitana’s legs from underneath her.

Kitana Jumped straight to her feet and looked around for her opponent and only just caught a glimpse of her disappearing into the ground. Kitana looked around bewildered she heard a voice for above her. “Up here slut” Cried out Mileena as she drove her foot into Kitana’s head.

Mileena disappeared into the Ground once more. But the blow she gave to Kitana was not as bad as she had hoped. Kitana watched Mileena disappear and knew exactly where to look this time. Kitana channelled her energy and might into her fans and spun them round which emitted sonic waves. Mileena re-appeared above Kitana and fell into a trap.

Kitana then unleashed one of the most beautiful combos ever witnessed in the tournaments history. It even brought a tear to the eye of some of the most battle hardened warriors. With Mileena trapped in the sonic waves Kitana flew into the air with speed and grace, landing a beautiful jump kick right into Mileena’s torso, then she spun around in mid air bringing out her fan and swiped it across Mileena creating and impressive wound.

But Kitana was still not finished, she dropped to the ground and spun once more bring her foot round and into the air perfectly timed to connect with Mileena’s falling body. “Don’t ever call me a slut” Responded Kitana with fury in her eyes. Mileena lay motionless on the ground and Kitana held up her fans in celebration.

The Crowd roared in approval and Kitana took a bow and the crowd roared a second time. Shao Kahn Called out “Finish Her” But this was not for Kitana but for Mileena who had secretly got up and crept up behind Kitana. Mileena drew her Sai and stabbed Kitana in the neck. She then lend over to give Kitana when seemed to be a kiss.

But it was no Kiss. Milenna bit into Kitana and seemed to inhale Kitana into herself in grotesque fashion. Once Kitana was devoured Mileena she turned to the other side and exhaled all of Kitana’s bones.

Mileena Wins! There are no spoils for this battle

Shao Kahn was mighty pleased with the result and was very interested to see who had been selected to fight the next battle. His sorcerer and his army lieutenant were about to face off in the morning.

It actually isn't that overpowered as it meant I didn't get any mana back after the victory and it can only be used once. Still it pretty much guaranteed victory so it would have been daft not to use it, can you honestly say you wouldn't have done the same?
For everybody else, I had a one use power that steals all of a players mana and used it on split before the fight.

Morning 4

The tournament was halfway finished. The last two persons who had yet to fight entered the ring. They were Shang Tsung who had earlier been voted into battle but managed to get out of it and Baraka the loyal chief of Shao Kahns Army. The DROW BRIGADE! watched and cheered on their teammate, they hoped that he would carry on the team’s tradition of winning. They were confident too putting down big bets in Baraka’s favour.

Shang Tsung chose the City ruins on the outskirts of town for his battle. Both Fighters lined up and stuck their starting poses and waited for the word. “Fight” Declared Kahn. Baraka moved in a flash unleashing a blade that flew across and hit Shang Tsung directly in the chest.

Baraka kept up the pace and jumped at Shang Tsung, He swung out both legs making good contact with the distracted Shang Tsung.

Barak tried to follow up again with another drop kick but Shang Tsung stepped back and put his arms out with both palms facing Baraka whose kick fell short. Unfortunately for Baraka the Fireballs now emanating from Shang Tsung’s hands caught him on the way down and caused him to bounce on each one sending him flying back.

Shang Tsung ran at Baraka and tried to follow up with a jump kick of his own but Baraka had reach advantage because of his claws. Baraka dropped onto one knee and swung his claws into the on-coming Shang Tsung.

Shang Tsung was pretty torn up and realised he needed to do stop thing to stop Baraka’s speed. But this was Shang Tsung and he had many tricks up his sleeve. He morphed his form into SubZero and sent an icy blast towards Baraka which froze him to the spot.

Shang Tsung Gloated “Your Soul will be mine!” and uppercut the frozen Baraka into the sky. He then landed with a heavy thud.

Shang Tsung picked up the beautiful but barely breathing Baraka. A green glow seemed to surround Baraka and then started to drift away towards Shang Tsung’s outstretched hand. Shang Tsung added another soul to his collection.

Shang Tsung threw the corpse away but when it landed and medallion that hang round the neck of Baraka fell off. The medallion was the shape of a Hawk and Shao Kahn recognised it immediately. “Wait” he ordered “Shang Tsung bring me that medallion!” Shang Tsung picked up the medallion and handed it to his dark lord. Shoa Kahn looked at the medallion in disbelief. ‘That can’t be’ thought Kahn. The medallion was a symbol of an Outworld god, long thought dead. After thinking for a while Kahn spoke up.

“It seems that Baraka was a mark!”

The winner recieves 376 Mana. The two remaining members of the DROW BRIGADE!
recieve 188 mana each as battle spoils.

Kahn stood up with rage in his eyes “You” he bellowed “I killed you!” Kung Lao looked like he was about to laugh “Indeed you did but I am here now for a short while to inform you of the contestants for the evening fight.” Kung Lao paused for dramatic effect...

“Kintaro vs Jax”

“Kintaro will have arena advantage.” And with that Kung Lao jumped into the air and disappeared from sight.

I figured he was a mark with the way he was acting. So, one Outworld Mark Dead, One Earth Mark dead? That means there is two teams of mark, and probably one more mark from each of them. Having 6 would be ridiculous with the number of players, and the fact that there's still evening fights means they probably aren't all dead yet.

@Centurion: Also, your team and Shao Khan/Kintaro are the only ones that still have more than one member.

no honestly i thought baraka was a mark as well. he never asked eithe rof us for help (well at least not me) and he seem scared to fight.

now i am scared because i dont wanna fight a 4 armed monster whose attacks i am weak against and because he probably wont even need any abilities. like i stink against punches and really bad against elemental damage (fire)

What's happening now, is Atpg alive again, or working with the mark?

I'm picking their battles for them because they refuse to.
