I don't see the point in that, to me it would have defeated the point of giving it out in the first place. It'd also have looked like role-fishing, as any role would not want to be blocked, protown or not.
Basic townies won't care because it doesn't do anything to them.
edit:
I could have even used the cat to prove my innocence later on in the game if I were still alive, to avoid wasting a lynch. Oh well.... I was too distracted by other games to have been much help here anyway.

And I was to know you're a basic townie? I don't make assumptions like that, about anyone, so that doesn't fly, and if you could be killed be Wee Sean, then that doesn't sound basic townie to me. Either way, the game has a resurrector role, so you may get revived - your a better option then Sigurd I think.

Clear ATPG of what? You're the one under pressure. If you were a townie mason, you could have easily proved your innocence using the kitten, but you gave it away to clear someone who wasn't even being accused?

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore! [In Play]
Both me and TC agreed on the function of how the cat works, and we revealed the PM which states how it works. Thus, on the night in question, it could not have been me being blocked, but rather blocked during the second night. Thus, I would have been cleared regardless and it made more sense to move the kitten along.

You weren't cleared by it. You should be lynched if no mason partner vouches for you.
Pizza should probably not be revived, on the off chance that there was a mafioso role out there terrified of wee sean. That's just how it goes.

Yes, I was Sasaki, and I am getting irritated by you constantly attacking me for no reason. There were no drop in kills last night, the night I was roleblocked by Wee Sean. I was not roadblocked the night before and I know it, because I've asked and it was clarified by pever. You just want me or one of my mason buddies to claim, and that is not happening. Stop rolefishing.

A very good question, and one that has been troubling me as well.
I'm not too proud to admit that I'm far from being amongst the top rank of players. And there is no in-game reason for resurrecting me either - I have no powers, and nor am I confirmed innocent, either by my death or resurrection.
What's more, whoever dragged me back into the world of the living has yet to reveal himself/herself to me, and I have received no PMs from the GM (except for confirmation that I was not supposed to receive any PMs regarding my resurrection or anything else).
Make of that what you will.

I'd be surprised if a mafioso could be killed by a kitten. It would seem to unbalance the game I think. I would have thought being killed by the kitten would be in PizzaGuy's favour.

I'm curious why Reenk is voting for TM, because I find his post the most suspicious of the lot. Not only was it a FOS and not a vote (serving to help the bandwagon along while keeping his hands clean(er) in the even that Chaotix wound up lynched, while voting for a random lurker), but it's internally contradictory:
If you don't expect mafia to pull the stunt, then you don't FOS him as being Mafia. You might *vote* him for anti-town behavior (given the number of people voting for Chaotix and the reasons given, it's a sure thing at least one townie did just that), but you don't say you're *suspicious* of him.
vote: Thermal Mercury
You begin saying those who voted for Chaotix are the most suspicious, then you pick me out for FoS'ing him, even after his lynch I expressed my dislike of it for reasons already mentioned. You can think that all you like. Tell me what "suspicious" is supposed to mean in the context of a game like this, if not that you think that Chaotix might be mafia (or other anti-town role).

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
The town should have been eager in its discussion, having missed out on the option of some lynch mob justice the day beforehand. But there was little conversation. Many didn't see the need for more, as 31 people were still alive and free.
After a light afternoon tea, White_eyes:D and Captain Blackadder had been put forward as the two best options. pevergreen sighed. He hated ties.
"Same thing, its always with the ties! Both of you are free to go, but my patience for ties has run out. However, since it would be a waste to have such a wonderful day and not kill anyone...Lord Winter, you're up."
pevergreen took LW into a shed and many screams of agony were heard before the town uneasily went home.
The greatness of the Lord has been demonstrated unto kill fire. Yea, and as he walks through the shadow of the valley of Askthepizzaguy's footprint, he shall lurk no longer.

Just then, God arrived from the heavens and spoke directly to King Arthur.
GOD: ARTHUR.... ARTHUR.... there is one among you who is not performing their duties. You know which one it is.
Arthur: Right. I'll fetch them immediately, my Lord.
GOD: And step on it, I have things to do!
Arthur returned with ZPV.
GOD: ZPV.... you have been charged with the terrible and unforgivable crime of inactivity. How plead you?
ZPV: ......
GOD: I now sentence you to the most horrifying punishment of them all. Prepare to meet your eternal damnation, wretched one!!!
God scooped up ZPV in his massive hand, and also reached down deep into the depths of the underworld, and grabbed the Dark Lord off of his very throne. He lifted the deceiver of men up into the sky, and made him drop his pantaloons. God then shoved ZPV where the sun, and even the brilliant fires of hades, does not shine. The Dark Lord seemed to enjoy the experience for some reason, but ZPV decidedly did not. However, his head would never again be removed from the hindquarters of the prince of darkness, and would be used to warm his delicate fanny. The worst part was that it was chili night, and the devilish one really enjoyed his beans.
ZPV felt the WRATH OF GOD.

Who's had the cat in what order?
I'm more interested in the furry feline the more I think things through.
If my odd guess about the Sidhe is correct, then Wee Sean could be functioning as a Bean Sidhe -- death to any.
Why Sidhe?
Chaotix wasn't the Queen of England or Scotland. Ireland never had a high-queen. There was a queen of the Sidhe (faeries). pever hinted at a bunch of roles aside from the mafia.
So far:
5 mafiosi (one team or two competing as in the last game?)
1 kidnapper (neutralish: those protected were out of play but also safe -- agenda unknown)
2 Aussies* (our beach cricketeers -- doing conversions of some form or other)
1 priest (seems to wash out the conversions)
1 doctor (saved my pathetic behind)
1 detective (projected)
....
leaves a lot open. If Sidhe are involved, pever will have gone for both seelie and unseelie to create a second "game within a game."
My opening post specifically noted that I had had a PM from pever. I had. He was kind enough to PM me to let me know he did have to use me in the game to get close to 40 live bodies -- I'd only agreed to do backup as I'm a bit busy with various things including BR mod.
I added it to my first post to see if anyone came around sniffing. Two takers -- Secura and Renata. Both PM'd me to say that I'd "made a target of myself" with my opening post. This could be simple kindness, or.....
Dun Anghosa was tossed out for "color." It is, of course, the name given to the ancient ring fort on Inis Mor in the Arans, after which the original locale is loosely styled in the play from which pever' derived his setting. Nobody bit at that being a codeword. Oh well, can't have everything I suppose....

I suspect there's at least one previous owner out there, either before or after Sasaki, possibly both, but no one's admitted to it. We also don't know where it is currently, if anywhere. ATPG died without giving it away, so it could be gone for good or it could have randomly jumped to someone else since that was what was supposed to have happened if anyone held on to it for too long.
In any case, it's clearly not 'Bean Sidhe' as you call it beause it did not appear to have any nasty side effects for anyone except ATPG.

Thanks for cat info.
Bean Sidhe, in the old stories, only affected the Sidhe and not humans, so passing it among the humans does little, but to one of the specials it would be lethal. I'm just wondering if we've got other "teams" playing a parallel game is all. I acknowledge there is some far-fetchedness to this thought.

I'm taking it that this is all supernatural stuff?
Theres no other world aspect to this game, its all normal.

You had forsaken me when you left your old name. Change back to Ichigo and all will be right with the world.
Isn't Csargo closer to his old name than Ichigo?

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
Two men were sitting on the stone wall parting beach from road. They took swigs from their beers and discussed the telly.
"Flashbeer" said one.
"No way mate, you're dead set wrong. Its gotta be the Big Ad."
"Well, for Carlton, thats the main two."
"Don't forget the canooes!"
"Theres more just Carlton mate, what about the drop bears?"
"Actually Bundy have made the best commercial if you think about it. This one."
"Yeah, you're right. Time to make a new friend?"
"Yup, I'm liking the look of that bloke over there."
They, as they had every night so far, made a new friend.
Methos knew that they were watching him. The security cameras in his office building weren't for keeping the building secure, they were for following his every move. At this moment, the government men would be in his home: collecting skin samples, hair fibers, and lifting his fingerprints off the pennies in his penny jar. It was only a matter of time before they would take him away and perform experiments on him. Then they would shoot him in the temple and leave him in the mountains to be eaten by wolves. Soon after that, he would be replaced by a clone, an obedient one to serve their wishes. Well he wasn't going to let that happen, so when he got a red envelope in the mail without a return address, he knew it must have been filled with knockout gas. He ran to the nearest window and threw himself out. He landed on the street below and died instantly. Two architects were standing nearby when it happened, and they were shocked to see Methos lying dead on the ground. One of them turned to the other and asked if he remembered to invite Methos to the upcoming charity ball, but the second one nodded and said that he had just mailed the invitation this morning in a red envelope.
Two men were at a bar.
"Oi bru, what are the haps my friend?"
"Not much, how abouts we make a new friend?"
"I like that idea."
They spied a person and by the end of the night, the three were best friends.
A man entered the morgue. He passed over many bodies, locating the one he was looking for. Taking out a syringe, he plunged it into the body and left. Before Askthepizzaguy returned to the land of the living, the person had gone.
Renata closed her door, sighing. The sound of the door knocking caused her to go back and open it. A man was standing there. He grinned and blew hard on his bagpipes, temporarily incapacitating Renata. He smiled even harder and yelled "Get her!"
When nothing happened, he looked around and cursed the name of everyone he could think of. He left muttering about someone not showing up again.
It is now Day 5. Night will end in 23 hours, 7 minutes. (Midnight Friday 23nd April 2010 GMT +10)

I'd so like to blame Thermal Mercury for the attack on me, but I'm laughing too hard.

Only 2 attempts, and one failed? Lynch a lurker, and maybe pizza shouldn't have been revived.

I tend to agree, just in case Seamus was correct about the Seelie/Unseelie thing.

No drop in kills? Wasn't it the night (or, now, one of the nights) where someone missed his kill due to waiting for someone?

Okay, that nixes my thoughts on ATPG. Thanks for the clarification pevergreen.
Edit: Missed a quote.

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
Sasaki, there were also only two kill attempts on Night Three, and ATPG's death at the end of that same update shouldn't have affected anything.
I do agree that going after lurkers might be as good a strategy as any for this round. Just avoid the obvious wog-bait and keep it from bandwagoning too early.

Just confirming:
All night actions take place at the same time, so if person x dies, whatever they were doing still takes place.

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
I was referring more to ATPG being at the end of the list of events for that night, but good to know.

Re: The Revenge of Inishmore!
So we have two recruitments, a revival, Methos' suicide and a failed attack on Renata.
Could we take the latter as a sign that one of the mafia failed to send orders? And what are we to make of Methos' suicide?

Pever, would it be too much to ask for a write-up summary thread? There's a lot going on.
