hi all glad to see where getting more people to join the lasted list of people that play EB MP can be found by clicking on my signature trying to get it posted up on all the forums so as to make it the center to find MP mod battles like TWC is the center for the mods anyway

hope you understand by the phycological side of the battle to hard to explain in the time that I had. think I've got a RTR IC battle replay where it might clear it up
it's basically in the simple term doing something your enemy doesn't aspect and they just sit there ready to be butchered or they simple don't know what to do against it and do the wrong things or if you take out one of there main components to beating you they simple just let you finish them off simple something the AI would never worry about but a human would

ok most play on hugh but I don't think anyone minds going on large seem to be that the people that play are on around 6-12 PM GMT you should be able to find someone to play in this time line I think there roughly around 12 of us that play often twice a week average for me I think with about 2-3 games in ago

k good glad you manage to get a game try to connect you yesterday after I crashed from gamespy but high interference so don't know if you seen it got a idea for a MP campaign if anyones interested in maybe doing 1 v 1 put it up tomorrow after I've finalized the idea

hi, I've just installed Hamachi and Xfire and I'm looking to play someone to a game.
My Xfire is daxos232 and my Hamachi is daxos232
I have joined both hamachi EB servers, EB00 and EB01
I have never used hamachi before but if someone can give me the rundown im sure i could connect for a game.
I am using version 1.2, im not sure if it works any differently from the other version. feel free to xfire message me anytime.

Does it still work? I have just installed hamachi (for the first time in my life) and both EB00 and EB01 servers appear to be full. What about setting up new ones and update the opening post to reflect current state of affairs? EB MP is an amazing change from fighting somewhat retarded AI, but it seems rather difficult to actually do it on the Internet (at least for me it is)...:help:
Hello! My xfire username is vitenant and my hamachi username is vitenant.
I'm not sure if I need to run both these programs together at the same time for the multiplayer to run. I am new to online battles so I will learn with time hopefully, if I havne't figured it out soon enough. I have the 1.1 version of eb with the additional patch 1.2 and I'll be looking forward to many hours of eb mp.

Another option which should be encouraged is to use standard RTW online multiplayer option. There is always a lot of people in the waiting-room, but all of them are "using a different mod":wall::wall::wall:

Please all Hamachi users, could you - when going offline - use the option "leave network" to allow the others to join?
Right at the moment there are about twenty people in each EB00, EB01 and EB03 and of these just one or two is online. The rest is just blocking those who have only uncommercial (free) Hamachi license from joining, because such free license supports only 8 people in a network.
Joining for the purpose of playing only and leaving the network afterwards will be of great help. Thank you. :bow:

If you play with Alex.exe and that minimod you will be unable to play with others as it will be considered as different mod. Just stay with vanilla 1.5 RTW and clean EB 1.2+fixes install and you will be able to play MP.Quote:

I've known of this post for a long time. Checked and indeed the first page is as it was when I first read it. Most of the times you don't even need to disable your network drive. You only need to if you are sure that someone is in the LAN lobby (like you have arranged a game and the person is sure that he is in the lobby), but you can't see him. In this case the method with disabling the network drive is needed. However in my experience it's very rare.
That's all cool and stuff...but it'd be nice if there was a hamachi network with people online in it, or if it wasnt full all the time!!!

I am sorry to repeat myself, but I really do think that it would much help if people would "leave network" when going offline. That way only those who are actually ready to play (or playing) would occupy the limited space at any given Hamachi network at any given moment and thus would allow others to join and play. :2cents:
It seems to me that current arrangement - log on and stay logged forever - only leads to pointless proliferation of Hamachi networks, where each is alone (with a few offline pals) and two (or more) people could only very difficultly meet to play.:wall:
Please, consider giving other a chance when going offline and leave the network as well. If/when such a behaviour would become universal rule, you need to to be afraid that you will not be able to log on again.:yes:

On a more positive note: even now two people may connect. For my honoured adversary (and anyone else who might be interested ) you can see a replay of my crushing defeat (as Pontos vs Arverni) by Gaesate here and my close victory (as Rome vs Lusotana) above him here.

The first match we fought pit us in a rather forested map. I was the Arverni and he played Pontos. I placed my men atop the wooded hill, while he placed his in a clearing below. Most of my army was hidden giving his nasty Scythian archers few targets in the opening phase of the battle preserving my numbers. Still, my levy and medium quality Gallic spearmen held fast, but his cavalry was not to be underestimated and scored some surprise attacks on my position.
The second match I was the Lusotanians and V.T. played the Polybian Romans. This map was a plain with a slight rise that I stationed my warriors atop while he marched on my position. He had the advantage in cavalry as usual while I again choose to trust in my spearmen to hold. After his soldiers and my warriors met I felt I would carry the day, but the tide began to turn. The mobility of his horsemen sealed my fate in the end with some well placed charges into the back of my already engaged warriors.

Regarding X-fire and Hamachi: X-fire is just a way to get in touch with other players. Hamachi can hold 16 people in a network and there is quite a few networks, while X-fire has no limitations on how many users you can add. So X-fire can be used to arrange games, but it's not required to play them at all.
