Welcome Wayward and Wallas ~
Are we a bit bitter my friend? The Frontroom is still a lovely place, they have this nice Leffe thread going on right now ~:cheers:Quote:

Hail newcomers!
Read Mithrandir's sticky on .Org etiquette, write some well-considered posts, join in our modding efforts, help others whenever you can, and you will be regular members before long.
And don't forget the Monastery, where we cover every historical period and topic you can imagine.
Welcome to the Org, Wayward. To my knowledge, there is no internet version of the BI map, and it doesn't come with the game. The map does differ somewhat from the R:TW one: many important cities are still there, but others have been replaced or even removed. Faction specific strategy guides can be found in the R:TW guide forum.Quote:

Jó napot, baron_Leo! Welcome to the .Org. Care to tell us what 'honfitársaim' means?Quote:

Welcome Alpha666 ~
Watch out with the swearing tough (the use of "f-words" and the like). You should replace them entirely by *'s, not just one or two letters.
Strict forum regulations, thnx for your cooperation
Hello all,
A Medieval 2:Total War newbie from Sweden has entered your guild :flowers:
I'm quite new to the strategy game genre but liking it so far. I've mostly played race and flight sim's before (actually since the dawn of day), but as the sim's nowadays seam to be "same, same but different" I'd thought it was time to try something new. Also, I can't muster time nor energy to participate in the racing leagues... perhaps I'm getting older...
I like history and in particular military history so I thought M2TW might do me good. The grace period was excellent! I really got caught up in this fine game. I've started to realize that I will need to read anything I can get my hands on that covers military strategy and warfare :laugh4: All recommendations are welcomed!
It's a bit sad though that I've encountered some problems with my game install, please review my post in the Apothecary forum :help:
Any way, I'm glad that I've found this place and hope that I'll be taken in by the seasoned war veterans that roam in this community.
:surrender:
Kind regards,
Karl
I only posted back on the 10th Dec. Thanks to Martok for welcoming me and since then I downloaded and read the two guides to RTW, esp. that of Frogbeastegg--it was very good--too bad I struggled with playing the game for months without it. At the end she mentions she has only had the game for 18 days! Obviously some others benefit from previous experience!
Meanwhile, visiting the big city from my country eyrie I saw and bought BI. After installing it, however, it seems that I can't get back to my RTW campaign [where, after taking the requisite 50 provinces I decided to conquer the world--you know, travel broadens the mind]. Using Windows explorer I can see that the saved files are still there. However the usual campaign opening screen has no date and it reverts to the multiple choice screen. Any suggestions please? :help:

Hello. I've been playing Total War games since Shogun, and only recently discovered this forum. I've played a lot of MTW II since the launch, and I want to contribute to the community.
I am not a scripter, but I like to help modders by contributing on the historical/ gameplay balancing aspects.
Hail!
Welcome new members to this community, the org!
Well, I'm sick of the official site and thought I'd try somewhere a bit less angry. Have I come to the right place?
Yep, Welcome! This is the right place AAA!
Happy New Year. :balloon2:

Welcome and Happy New Year to all new members!
Karl, if you also enjoy flight sims you will find a warm welcome in the Tavern Frontroom where Beirut is also a fan.
Aaron A Aardvark, I hope you will find that the Org is a relatively calm and peaceable place, but by no means lacking in passion for things Total War related or historical.
Welcome again.
Honfitársaim means "fellow countryman" according to a dictionary (that does not give back the real mening of it.) in Hungarian. Actually it means everyone who is also Hungarian. By the way: happy new year everyone!Quote:

Hello to all :laugh4:
I'm a long time player of MTW and RTW, but only recently decided to broaden my knowledge of the game through these forums of yours. They hold some very interesting information indeed :2thumbsup:
Just some background on myself, I'm from New Zealand, have a keen interest in History and Fantasy/Mythology, play a number of games online (mainly shooters now like BF1942 & DC mod, previously AoE II as well), and I am an avid RTW and Oblivion fan :whip:
Until recently was also playing X-Wars.com, Uni 1. If anybody plays/played that you might have met me ingame, where I led the Night Raiders (NR). I'm also an ex-Ogamer (Pirates Uni 1).
I've got limited modding experience or skills with RTW, but i'm hoping that I may be able to contribute to others mods with ideas or testing :idea2: I'm rather more experienced with modding for Morrowind and Oblivion though :shame:
Anyhow.... enough of my banter :wall: I look forward to reading through these forums and contributing where I may :book:
